Zechariah's Vision and "The Quartet"

Tomorrow is Shevat 24, 2010. It's the time of the year Zechariah had the vision of a quartet.

The LORD, the God of Israel will not be silent about the division of Israel, His Promised Land. The Bible and history show us the judgment on thoee that divide. Babylon divided the land as its own and the Babylon fell for 70 years. The Roman Empire did the same and its vast territory also crumbled and fell as it was divided between East and West before its ultimate destruction.

In 117 AD, the Roman Empire was at its greatest but irreversible decline began some 250 years later in 376 AD. Eventually, invading "barbarians" took over as civil war and religious battles prevailed. The Roman Empire fell by Elul 29 in 476 AD when Odoacer usurped Romulus Augustulus.

God has only authorized two men to divide the land among the people Israel... Eleazar and Joshua. That's it folks... just two men. No one else! Babylon and Rome can testify to that fact as they fell divided and cursed.
"These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: El`azar the Kohen, and Yehoshua the son of Nun." Numbers 34:17 (HNV)
Our Creator's prophetic warnings about those that seek to divide His land promise and people by any other men have existed for thousands of years, some 3,500 to be more precise and the land owner will not stand silent when His heritage land of promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is divided into an Arab (Moab) state by powers from the four corners of the globe. God wants those that belong in His land to follow Him and be reunited as one new man, not divided by another. Israel is an eternal part of God's plan and any nation seeking to divide and undo His eternal promise will bring grave judgment and wrath as described throughout the Bible.

Satan understands and opposes God's plan for the land, so we must too. The deceiver seeks to destroy Abraham's covenant, the same one given to Isaac and Jacob as witnesses. Part of the deception to undo the plan was carried out by inciting the rejection and Passover killing of a Jew, the Son of God, Messiah Yeshua, but this too failed in the First Fruits' power of resurrection. Evil rose again at the attempt of a total holocaust of the Jewish people but this failed at the resurrection of the Promised Land 70 years ago. Since then radical Islamists haves been trying to divide Jerusalem and the Promised land using the deception of peace and security under the authority of the United Nations, but the Messiah King will return in glory to finish the resurrection and the restoration of all Israel.

So, if you are in the dark, asleep at the wheel on the prophetic assignment given to El`azar the Kohen, and Yehoshua the son of Nun, two men of renown - then you better WAKE UP or you will crash like a drunk in the night headlong into the immovable judgment Glory of God for the LORD has chosen Zion.

God declares His judgment:
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land. Joel 3:1-2

For the LORD has chosen Zion. He has desired it for His habitation. This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it. Psalm 132:13-14

For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch. Isaiah 62:1
There is certainly no "thus saith The Lord" intended by any of my comments or observations of mine you may read here. The only time you can know "thus saith The Lord" is when Scripture is quoted, after all it is the Word of The Creator of Heaven and Earth.

I AM NOT claiming that the four horsemen of Zechariah have to be defined in just this way, after all they are a shadow picture, but the vision is real and its meaning must be uncovered. The concept of "four" should lean our orientation to the four corners of the globe, and the horsemen points us to the authority and power of manmade government and their military strength.

Today, the U.N. is the global four corner international representative body, the manmade intergovernmental voice of all nations established by its Charter as replacement for the League of Nations on October 24, 1945 following World War II with the goal to maintain "peace and security."

The U.N. Charter in itself is a trumpet, a wake up call that should take us back to the words of Paul because if you have ever read or better yet, studied the New Testament, those word's "peace and security" should take you from the first line of the U.N. Charter directly to chapter five of Paul's first letter warning to the Thessalonians.

Consider the words "peace and security." Under Rome's temporary rule during Paul's day, the Middle East from Iraq to Syria and today's Turkey was under oppressive, military rule and here we are repeating the past once again. This time it is not only by Caesar and his local centurions. The government beast in the Middle East now includes Islam's terror and Sharia law that encroaches on humanity.

One of our nation's most outspoken proponents of using U.S. pressure and the U.N.'s four corner global political influence to divide Israel into two states is none other than a former President Jimmy Carter who has called deceptively called Israel an 'apartheid state'. Like many people across the globe, Carter has been taken a bit out of the fruit of good and evil because he does not understand the promise made to Abraham. If you doubt this, listen to him as he describes his bizarre anti-Israel views in a brief episode from "The Daily Show" while he pushes his latest book for personal monetary gain: "We Can Have Peace in the Holy Land" ignoring Paul's warning.

This commentary is not a Carter bash, he speaks for himself and many other people blinded to the eternal covenants in the Word of God thinking that they have been done away with, long forgotten or hung on the cross. Jimmy Carter provides a bizarre deception, a lie really, stating that the "majority" of the people in the Promised Land are not Jews. He says Palestinians far exceed the number of Jewish people in Israel in direct opposition to the U.N. which states:
"In 2009, out of the total Israeli population, 75.5% were Jews (5.7 million), 20.3% were Arabs (1.5 million) and 4.1% were defined as others (0.3 million). Of those defined as others, 90% are individuals without a religious classification in the population registry, and the rest are non-Arab Christians."
This reminds me of the great question that Pilate asked Yeshua before He condemned Him: What is truth?

Clearly, Carter's views are well placed on a TV show called: "Comedy Central". What a joke. Needless to say, the peanut farmer is really not very funny. Watch this "Comedy Central" episode for yourself, don't take my word for it, watch, listen and learn for yourself:

The deception seed was planted by Richard Nixon and his field work was harvested by Jimmy Carter, the first acting President to make a move against Israel by siding with the Palestinians that is if you really want to call them Palestinians. After all, the reality is that Mohammed Yasser Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa aka 'Yasser Arafat' was an Egyptian and Carter knows this. Arafat was born August 24, 1929 in Cairo, Egypt. He wasn't a Palestinian, he was a, Egyptian con artist, a Pharaoh's official. Arafat's father battled in the Egyptian courts for 25 years to claim family land in Egypt as part of his inheritance but was unsuccessful. (Bernadette Brexel (2003) Yasser Arafat.- Rosen Publishing Group. p. 12).

Like his old crony Arafat, Carter too is deceptive as he casts his snake on the ground. Today, he still seeks to divide and do away with God's promise. He started his work on March 22, 1979 the day the Carter administration chose not to veto UN Resolution 446 in a move to press for a divided Israel.

Hum, I wonder what happened to their presidential legacies?

Nixon resigned and Clinton was impeached as he was exposed by the spirit of Jezebel.

Their legacy is much different than President Reagan's, and if you're thinking he had nothing to do with Israel think again. In 1988, Reagan pushed for Resolution 242 and 338. Those resolutions were different that what The Quarter pushes today. The resolutions called for the Palestinians to renounce terrorism and accept a peace process.

"The Palestine Liberation Organization today issued a statement in which it accepted United Nations Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338, recognized Israel's right to exist, and renounced terrorism. These have long been our conditions for a substantive dialog. They have been met. Therefore, I have authorized the State Department to enter into a substantive dialog with PLO representatives. The Palestinian Liberation Organization must live up to its statements. In particular, it must demonstrate that its renunciation of terrorism is pervasive and permanent.

The initiation of a dialog between the United States and PLO representatives is an important step in the peace process, the more so because it represents the serious evolution of Palestinian thinking towards realistic and pragmatic positions on the key issues. But the objective of the United States remains, as always, a comprehensive peace in the Middle East. In that light, we view this development as one more step toward the beginning of direct negotiations between the parties, which alone can lead to such a peace.

The United States special commitment to Israel's security and well-being remains unshakable. Indeed, a major reason for our entry into this dialog is to help Israel achieve the recognition and security it deserves."

Importantly, Resolution 242 called only for the "Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict." It did not state the nation of Israel must withdraw from "all the" territories gained during the Six-Day War, only the armed forces defending the tiny nation state when Egypt amassed approximately 100,000 troops in the Sinai after the blockade of the Strait of Tiran. At the same time, Syria deployed 75,000 along the Golan border as Jordan assembled 45,000 'Arab Legion' troops in the West Bank and Iraq brought 100 tanks and an infantry division to the Jordanian border. The Arabs were aided by planes from the Pakistan Air Force as well as Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia during the six day conflict as the IAF launched Operation Focus as a classic case of anticipatory self-defense in the face of a planned invasion.

Carter's agenda is much different than Reagan's. Carter says the U.S. must pressure Israel into peace, he speaks and acts against Israel as if they are the aggressors, the terrorists. Carter's dialogue does not recognize the Palestinian aggression and terror against Israel. Yet, he fancies himself as a founding member of the so-called Council of Elders. Never heard of them? They view themselves as:

  • The peace makers
  • The peace builders

Sounds esteemed and noble right? As you will see, the Bible gives an dire warning about such "peace makers" that stand on the wrong side of God's covenant.

So what in the world does all of this have to do with Zechariah's prophetic vision?

I could be wrong, everything must be tested by Scripture, but it appears Zechariah is speaking of those that want to force "peace and security" by dividing the land of Israel. I don't claim to be prophet in any way, just sober and awake studying and declaring the Word of God as a watchman on the walls of Jerusalem.

Its mind blowing to see all the “global” urgency in the nations of the world that seek to divide Israel today. Soon we will arrive at a Jubilee Year, a Yovel and the Bible shows us that God instituted the primary theme of His Yovel (Jubilee) Year with a focus on the ownership right of the Promised Land from the covenant given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by the God of Israel (reference Leviticus 25:23-55).

The Torah emphasizes that the land and its people both belong to YHVH, creator of Heaven and Earth. God’s people and His land do not belong to a oppressive, serpent slave master, they belong to Him! The land does not belong to the U.N. nations, it is not their’s to divide, it belongs to YHVH, and He gives it to whom He chooses. He made His mind up on that some 4,000 years ago.

Since Almighty YHVH God owns the land, He alone determines when or if it should change hands, and when it should not... (see Numbers 36:1-4).

Its mind blowing and difficult to understand that YHVH is a warrior, but He only uses war for good, for His purposes for the ultimate salvation of mankind. God used the first World War. When the Great War ended, the Ottoman Empire collapsed, and the allies of America, Britain and France drew new lines in the sands with the 1916 Sykes-Picot Treaty dividing the Middle East into a new group of nations under their control in 1917. The thing about Sykes-Picot and building a house on sand is this: its foundation will fall.

God's providence inspired men in a way that incredibly led to the 1917 Balfour Declaration that set the stage for the modern state of Israel in a Jubilee Year.

The Bible tells us a Jubilee Year arrives after the count of 50 years. That short declaration established the foundational decree that honored the Word of God and the covenant promise for a home land for the Jewish people to return to in the latter days. The year 1917 marked the declaration of Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations, it was called The Palestine Mandate and the "Mandate" set the stage to for the Allied Powers to put the Balfour Declaration into place to establish two territories, Palestine for the Jewish people and Transjordan for the Arab people yet even today it is ignored and memories are long forgotten that the British Command Paper 1785 contains the Mandate for Palestine and the Transjordan memorandum which provided 2/3's of the land known in the Bible as the Ammonite and Moab land grant for Manasseh, Gad and Reuben were partitioned for the Arabs east of the Jordan River in today's Jordan, yet they rejected it.

Some twenty year later, the second World War marked a time of great tribulation for the Jewish people as over 6 million Jewish people were massacred and ten times more (60 million) of all people on this planet died in the conflict of good vs. evil driven by dark German anti-semitic hatred inspired by Martin Luther's treatise "On the Jews and Their Lies." Hitler claimed Luther's Christian anti-semitic, bitter tirades against the Jewish people, as Hitler sought the death and extermination of the Jewish people just as the Persian Haman sought to do over 2,400 years earlier in revenge because Haman was a descendant of Agag, the king of the Amalekites, a people who warred with King's Saul and David.

The result of Hitler’s horrific and systematic murder of more than half the Jewish population led to a mass exodus that continues globally today. It is called Aliyah and in 1947, another Jubilee Year, the U.N. General Assembly declared that the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be recognized as a homeland for the Jewish people as a "Plan of Partition with Economic Union" on November 29, 1947. It was a Sabbath in another Yovel Year (Jubilee) when the recommendation of seven members of the nations (Canada, Czechoslovakia, Guatemala, the Netherlands, Peru, Sweden and Uruguay) was realized as prophecy unfolded.

Three nations opposed the initial their recommendation: India, Iran and Yugoslavia.

The action of these nations might remind you of the three unclean spirits like frogs that come out of the mouth of the dragon (Revelation 16:13). They filed a response to the "Plan of Partition with Economic Union" stating the “independent Federal State of Palestine shall comprise an Arab state and a Jewish state.”

In the end, Australia and Guatemala stood alone in opposition.

Today, nearly 50 years later, international pressure is intense and mounting to divide the land much like the recommendation of India, Iran and Yugoslavia.

Separating Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) for peace and security may eventually lead to World War III as Jerusalem is under constant threat from the Iranian puppets of Hezbollah and Hamas. They are under the purse strings of Iran whose Haman-like Shiite mullahs of Tehran seek the annihilation of the Jewish people along the exact storyline of Esther.

The prophet Zechariah was given the end-time headlines that will occur before the time of Messiah’s coming to fight for His Kingdom on earth with its epicenter in Jerusalem. Again, the Almighty will use a time of war for His purpose.
“For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle …” Zechariah 14:2
In the end there will be no Arthur James Balfour, no General Allenby, not seven righteous nations, only the savior of Israel, the God of Israel.

Israel’s opposition will come suddenly and the Jewish people will call out for their Savior, they will see the God of Israel coming like lightning from the East as the Son of Man to defend and save Israel from total annihilation. Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His counsel to His servants the prophets and He has promised He will do this.
"For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say, 'He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One'!" Amos 3:7

"Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come with awe to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days. Look, I will make Jerusalem a cup that causes staggering for the peoples who surround the city. The siege against Jerusalem will also involve Judah." Hosea 3:4-5
Zechariah tells us that when the time is right, the world will see Jerusalem front and center on the world stage. That means the headlines will point toward Jerusalem too:
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zechariah 12:2-3

“In that day shall The LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of The LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:8-9

"Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle..." Zechariah 14:1-2

“Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” Zechariah 14:3-4
Next, Zechariah describes what sounds like the same plague that broke out from God's shekinah glory in the wilderness 3,500 years ago will break out on those that come against Jerusalem, to divide and destroy Israel today. The plague reads like a warning manual on ionizing radiation where heavy doses cause immediate cellular damage, the loss of muscle function and inevitable death:
“And this shall be the plague wherewith The LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.

And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague." Zechariah 14:12-15
After that the survivors will come to Jerusalem to worship and to keep Tabernacles:
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, The LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of Succoth." Zechariah 14:12-16
Today, you can rehearse and keep Tabernacles. You can be a watchman on Jerusalem's wall for the Jewish people. So, grab your shofar and your Bible.

Just look at what we can all see in the headlines with an eye toward Jerusalem in the news and in historical fact since 1948. We must do this because the final warning for the nations from Paul regarding Zechariah's prophecies is given in 1Thessalonians 5:3-6 says... destruction will come:
"While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober."
If you will open your Bible and start watching, you too may arrive at a similar view of Zechariah's vision, but we must both remember that we only have an opinion, at least for now.

The 'horn' power of the four horses must be understood. After all, the reality is that "The Quartet" perhaps unwittingly acts unfaithfully against the Lord and His promise for the heritage of the land Israel. Unwittingly or not, The Quartet deceives others to extort and ransom the Promised Land covenant made to Abraham.

Why extortion?
"When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD, and deceives his companion in regard to a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or through robbery, or if he has extorted from his companion". Leviticus 6:2 NASB
The prophets of the Bible admonish us to watch for signs, times and seasons - NOT to ignore them.

Tomorrow, February 8, 2010 is Shevat 24, each year it marks the Biblical calendar anniversary of Zechariah's vision of the man among the myrtle trees. How do we know that? All we have to do is study the Word of God and look at it:
"On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, near the end of the year which is the month of Shevat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, son of Iddo..." Zechariah 1:7
The vision or dream of the four horsemen was recorded in the second year of Darius by the prophet Zechariah in the month of Shevat the time known as Tu B'shevat that had occurred two weeks earlier on the 15th day of Shevat. Tu B'shevat is tradtionally the cut-off date in the Hebrew calendar for determining the age of a fruit-bearing tree and the fig tree of Israel is connected to this time of the four horsemen.

This vision occurred about 2,500 years ago, two weeks after certain fruit trees, depending on their age were finally eligible to be eaten as people followed the instruction of God according to Leviticus 19:23-25.

We must not forget, Zechariah includes a prophetically interesting group of "four craftsmen" that cause chaos for the four horsemen. As you will see these may well be Iraq, Iran, Syria and North Korea. The leaders of these corrupt craftsmen nations are extreme madmen and are part of a radical insanity of power with the goal of undermining global stability.

They are linked in a chain of evil and share the geopolitical DNA evil of Adolph Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Caligula, Nero, Genghis Khan and others like them. The worst of these is North Korea. Why? The land of the North have nukes.

When we consider the vision described in the book of Zachariah, and the mention of 70 years of anger and disaster, we have no choice but to heed the advice of Paul as he wrote to the Thessalonians:

Do not despise prophecies, but test everything;
hold fast what is good. 1Thessalonians 5:20-21

Before we go further, let's look closer at these 'craftsmen of chaos' that Zechariah tells us about. The King James Bible calls them carpenters, other translations call them... blacksmiths or craftsmen. In Hebrew, the word Zechariah uses is "charash" Strong's Lexicon says it means:
"craftsman, artisan, engraver, graver, artificer; skillful to destroy (warriors)".
The word blacksmith fits well here, especially with the theme of the horses described by Zechariah. After all, at the end of the day, a blacksmith manipulates the gait of a horse. As you have seen on many western movies, the blacksmith is a strong-armed 'craftsman' that uses wrought iron and fire to forge the shape of the horse's shoe using tools to hammer, shape and cut. These tools include a melting pot, hammer, anvil, tongs, guillotine, nails and a knife.

We need to take notice too, that in Scripture the date given in Zechariah's vision or dream is known as the 24th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. In the Bible's Hebrew calendar it is traditionally known as a time to return to Torah. This time is first shown in Deuteronomy 1.

In 2011, Shevat 24 will land on January 29th, a Sabbath just seven years before Israel's 70th anniversary. The Shevat 24 Torah reading will be "Mishpatim" which includes God's prophetic words for Israel that Moses recorded in Exodus 21. Just look at the prophetic words that Almighty God spoke to Moses:
"I will send forth My terror before you, and I will throw into panic all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn tail before you"
Zechariah describes a "four horse" vision and terror that comes on them. Notice first, attention is given to the colors of "the quartet" of horses. The first was red:
"I saw in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse!
He was standing among the myrtle trees in the glen, and behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.

Then I said, ‘What are these, my lord?’

The angel who talked with me said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’

So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, ‘These are they whom the LORD has sent to patrol the earth.’ And they answered the angel of the LORD who was standing among the myrtle trees, and said, ‘We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth remains at rest.’

Then the angel of the LORD said,

‘O LORD of hosts, how long will you have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these seventy years?’

And the LORD answered gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me. So the angel who talked with me said to me, ‘Cry out, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little, they furthered the disaster.

Therefore, thus says the LORD, I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy; my house shall be built in it, declares the LORD of hosts, and the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. Cry out again, Thus says the LORD of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.’” Zechariah 1:8-16
Did you notice the seventy? In Scripture, seventy (70) can often symbolize 'all' nations, but here it is also tied to a time frame. At first glance, the seventy years are tied to the timeline around 516-520BC. Jerusalem was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar's armies in 586BC and Judah was exiled to Babylon. Zechariah's ministry links that time with the year he and Haggai began to prophesy in the second year of Darius. Haggai began his ministry in the sixth month of Elul as shown in Haggai 1:1 and Zechariah in the eighth month of Cheshvan as shown in Zechariah 1:1.

However, if we look closer at the weave of Zechariah's message, his words look to be prophetic, set for a future time of seventy years. After all, when we dig into Zechariah's vision we must see that God is angry with more than Babylon. That's one nation, but a few months after the word of the LORD first came to the prophet, God's messenger tells Zechariah he is seeing a vision of those whom the LORD has sent to patrol the earth during a time of peace in the land. That speaks of a future time.

Yet, Zechariah is told God is exceedingly angry with the nations that are at ease but they furthered the disaster and whose horns (power) have scattered not just Judah but also Israel and Jerusalem.

Zechariah was also shown four "craftsmen" and Zechariah asked the messenger of The Lord (YHVH) who they were. The answer:
“... these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns (governments) of the nations who lifted up their horns (government authority) against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
What's happening here and why are all the nations tied to seventy years?
...Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little, they furthered the disaster. Zechariah 1:14-15
What does this disaster have to do with today?

Folks, things are really heating up in man's controversy with Zion. Nations have turned against Jerusalem as the "disaster" to divide the land of promise intensifies across all nations with a focus on the UN, so we must reconsider the 70th year.

What's the old line? You ain't seen nothin' yet!

The disaster to divide is being furthered right before our own eyes by these four (The Quartet) as we watch on CNN and C-Span.

What can we do? Instead of blindly following the four leaders in division, WE MUST UNCEASINGLY PRAY in unity.

Our job is to press in with our daily prayer, to call out to our Creator and...
Pray for the Peace Of Jerusalem!" Psalms 122:6
It's not a request. There are no options. It is an instruction from God.

Jerusalem is the center of Israel, the Earth and the universe. It is the place God chose to put His name as a signpost to His ownership of the planet of life. Because of that, tumult in Jerusalem always reverberates around the globe in a physical and spiritual shaking.

The nations rest and lull in slumber, blind to the reality of today's prophetic headlines that report on the "Quartet" that ignores God's covenant and seeks the support of the nations (U.N.) to blaspheme the God of heaven and ignore His covenant while seeking to divide the Promised Land into two states for peace and security while internationalizing the City Of Jerusalem.

This peace plan of ignorance is a disaster of Biblical proportion.

Yet, the Palestinians have darker plans for Jerusalem, its not peace plan. They want East Jerusalem as their capital. That is because they too are misled like the nations, deceived in a dark plan to thwart the plan of God that was revealed to Abraham.

The world is a dark place, deception is rampant as the the kingdom of darkness has fallen on the house of prayer.

This is seen in the confusion too many people have about the return of the King of the Jews - Messiah Yeshua. He spoke plainly about His return, not at doomsday, a so-called apocalyptic end of the world, but exactly when He would return at its restoration, but somehow it has been missed by many believing another deception that the Bible contains an "Old Testament" done away with at the cross. If you still believe that... Wake Up and read Matthew 5.

Yeshua's focus was and is on Jerusalem, yours should be too!

Jerusalem is to be the praise of the Earth. The Savior of the World, God in the flesh who came in the name of YHVH cried about this city:
"Jerusalem, Jerusalem! She who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, yet you were not willing!

See, your house is left to you desolate.

For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say, ‘He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One’! ”" Matthew 23:37-39
Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your house is left to you desolate.

The holy mountain of The Almighty, the Temple Mount has been claimed by Allah that blasphemes the God of heaven, it is trampled each day by those of Edom who kneel down facing Mecca, the city of the beast kingdom making it an object of slander against our Savior. Today, no Christian or Jew can legally say a prayer there. It is a mountain place desolate of prayer to The Lord.

Prophecy is cyclical, we must open our eyes to consider this must be why God tells Zechariah that He's been angry for 70 years with the nations but has shown mercy for the transgressors of Jerusalem and Zion:
Then the angel of the LORD said, ‘O LORD of hosts, how long will you have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these seventy years?’ And the LORD answered gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me. So the angel who talked with me said to me, ‘Cry out, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. Zechariah 1:12-14
The fact is: since 1948, if you attempted to go and pray aloud to the God of Israel atop the Temple Mount you would never make it because you would have been attacked and since 1967, you will be arrested. What a disaster, arrested for praying to the God of Israel at His house of prayer.

So, if you want to be arrested, book your flight today and go to Jerusalem and try it for yourself. Forget free speech, how about freedom of prayer?

This is serious business, Jesus warned about those who forget the holy mountain from the words of Isaiah 64:11-12:
"But you who abandon YHVH,
who forget My holy mountain,
who prepare a table for Fortune
and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny,

I will destine you for the sword,
and all of you will kneel down to be slaughtered,
because I called and you did not answer,
I spoke and you did not hear;
you did what was evil in My sight
and chose what I did not delight in."
Other prophets warned from the word of The Lord about those nations in tumult that seek to divide the land for peace in the day of calamity. These include men like Jeremiah, Obadiah, Ezekiel and of course John at Pathmos.
"The tumult reaches to the ends of the earth
because the LORD brings a case against the nations.
He enters into judgment with all flesh.
As for the wicked, He hands them over to the sword —
this is the LORD’s declaration.

“This is what the LORD of Hosts says:
Pay attention! Disaster spreads
from nation to nation.

A great storm is stirred up
from the ends of the earth.”" Jeremiah 25:31-32
God's case is against the nations, Obadiah warns us about the holy mountain but he gives a great promise:
"For the Day of the LORD is near,
against all the nations.
As you have done, so it will be done to you;
what you deserve will return on your own head.

As you have drunk on My holy mountain,
so all the nations will drink continually.
They will drink and gulp down
and be as though they had never been.

But there will be a deliverance on Mount Zion,
and it will be holy;
the house of Jacob will dispossess
those who dispossessed them." Obadiah 1:15-17
Ezekiel tells us to listen to The Lord, not the slander of those like 'The Quartet':
"“Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD. This is what the Lord GOD says: Because the enemy has said about you, ‘Good! The ancient heights have become our possession,’ therefore, prophesy and say: This is what the Lord GOD says: Because they have made you desolate and have trampled you from every side, so that you became a possession for the rest of the nations and an object of people’s gossip and slander, therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. This is what the Lord GOD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and abandoned cities, which have become plunder and a mockery to the rest of the nations all around.

“This is what the Lord GOD says: Certainly in My burning zeal I speak against the rest of the nations and all of Edom, who took My land as their own possession with wholehearted rejoicing and utter contempt so that its pastureland became plunder. Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I speak in My burning zeal because you have endured the insults of the nations. Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I swear that the nations all around you will endure their own insults." Ezekiel 36:1-7
Jeremiah warns of the disaster and the city that bears God's holy name, a case against the nations:
“As for you, you are to prophesy all these things to them,
and say to them:
The LORD roars from heaven;
He raises His voice from His holy dwelling.
He roars loudly over His grazing land;
He calls out with a shout, like those who tread grapes,
against all the inhabitants of the earth.

The tumult reaches to the ends of the earth
because the LORD brings a case against the nations.
He enters into judgment with all flesh.
As for the wicked, He hands them over to the sword —
this is the LORD’s declaration.

“This is what the LORD of Hosts says:
Pay attention! Disaster spreads
from nation to nation.
A great storm is stirred up
from the ends of the earth.”" Jeremiah 25:30-32
John also warns:
"Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.” Revelation 16:1
The nations do not listen to the prophets or read the Bible, they refuse to repent, instead they speak out gnawing their tongues against Jerusalem, but if you love The Lord you must realize what is going on and be not ignorant of the times and the seasons when they shall say, Peace and safety (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3). Travail, tribulation, sudden destruction...
"The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues because of their pain and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, yet they did not repent of their actions." Revelation 16:10-11
Nearly every member state of the United Nations General Assembly routinely votes against Israel at its world headquarters, which has for some 62 years overwhelmingly focused on Israel. That focus will intensify and the U.N. will increase its resolutions to divide God's promise. Watch and see don't be ignorant of the times and the seasons.

"The Quartet" was officially established at the Madrid Conference in 2002 by Spanish Prime Minister Aznar. The Quartet encompasses all four corners of the globe, in that way you might perceive the quartet represents the world's empire against Israel. The Quartet's vision came into focus before Prime Minister Aznar during the Camp David Accords that were signed as a "Framework for Peace in the Middle East" by Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin on 17 September 1978 (Elul 15).

The fact that Egypt was involved should at Camp David should jump out and shout at you like a shofar blast!

We all know what has happened since 1948 in Israel: the barren, dry land has been restored, Israelites have returned and they have been fruitful, multiplied, and have become extremely numerous so that the land is filled with some 6 million.

Consider Sadat and the words of Exodus 1:8-10...
"Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us. 10 Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”"
Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat's negotiations followed 13 days of secret negotiations at Camp David to set the legal prerequisites the divide the land of Israel that concluded on Elul 15, two weeks before Tishrei 1, Trumpets Day (Rosh Hashanah). The Egyptian Accord mandated the requirement that Israel give up the Sinai to Egypt. The Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty was signed in Washington, D.C. on March 26, 1979 (Adar 27), following the 1978 Camp David Accords.

The Camp David meetings were led by U.S. President Jimmy Carter. Sadat praised President Carter as "the man who performed the miracle".

If you did not see this before, but some Hebrew eye salve in your eyes and open them, this is the same area of the Exodus, the very location that the most powerful man on the planet, the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt chased after the Israelites during their Passover exodus journey to the mountain and the date of the Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty aligns with the Exodus. Adar 27 is three days before Nisan, the month of the Exodus. It's the timeline of the conclusion of the ten plagues.

In 1978, we see a repeat as Egypt and the most powerful man on the planet again came against the promise of the nation of Israel. Soon after the treaty was signed, Israel began to evacuate all civilians for the same area and Egypt was suspended from the Arab League for ten years due to the peace agreement with Israel.

The BBC notes: "The PLO leader, Yasser Arafat, told a rally in West Beirut: "Let them sign what they like. False peace will not last." He accused President Sadat of betraying the Egyptian people, and said they would eventually eliminate him."

Three years later on October 6th President Anwar Sadat was assassinated by members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad during the annual victory parade held in Cairo to celebrate Egypt's crossing of the Suez Canal.

Some 3,500 years before the Camp David Accords, Egypt's Pharaoh lost his life attempting to cross the Red Sea as he pursued Israel through the waters of the Sinai.

Later, the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference formally established the initial ground work for the future role of "The Quartet" to divide Israel. On March 6, 1991, President George H. W. Bush told Congress, “The time has come to put an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict." As President George H. Bush (#41) opened the conference on October 30th to divide the land for peace, the "perfect storm" arose in the Atlantic, oddly moving east to west as three waves the size of his house heavily damaged his home retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine.

There are many other events tied to global calls to divide Israel, almost too many to name but this was the first. The second was the fall of the Soviet Republic. The USSR was co-sponsor of the Madrid Peace conference with Spain. The Soviet Union was dissolved two months after the conference on December 26, 1991. Coincidence?

"The Quartet" on the Middle East evolved 11 years later, again in Madrid. It is a foursome of 'government powers' ('horns' is the Bible prophecy term) consisting of four assemblies:

1) the UN member nations, 2) the EU members as well as the two nations of the Cold War: 3) the U.S. and 4) Russia.

These four horsemen, the Quartet if you will, are involved in "mediating the peace process" in the so-called Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

If you are not familiar with "The Quartet" and its mission, then you need to read up on the objectives.

In addition the the normal media, my purpose here is to provide you with other resources including "Perspectives on Terrorism" so that you can better understand what is really happening in the Middle East today. This perspective will not just be on the proposed division of Israel but on the nations, the people and the nations that surround Israel including the sectarian conflicts of Sunni vs. Shiite or put another way: Saudi Arabia vs. Iran.

Remember, a blacksmith works with iron. Iran has the world's one of the world's largest reserves of iron ore on the planet and of course Arabia is nothing but sand. So we have to ask: Are Shiite & Sunni the iron and the clay of Daniel 2? Perhaps. The 1979 Iranian Revolution resulted in the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was the first new Islamic state since the demise of the Ottoman Empire. It came into place when the U.S. backed Shah if Iran fell.

Today, the U.S. backs the royal family of Saud, and that's one big reason Shi'a Muslims detest the Sunni nation of Saudi Arabia. They look at them as if they are traitors to proper Islamic values.

Let's turn our focus back to the world's goal to divide Israel for peace.

As of February 7, 2010, the Quartet's representative's are:
1) United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
2) Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
3) European Union High Representative Catherine Ashton
4) United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
When "The Quartet" was formed in Madrid, Spain on April 10, 2002 the representatives were:
1) United States Secretary of State Colin Powell
2) Foreign Minister of Russia Igor Ivanov
3) European Union High Representative Javier Solana
4) United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan
By the way, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is Chair of The Elders. Back in Madrid, on April 10th 2002 the Biblical date was the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. It was the 13th day of the "counting of the omer" up to Pentecost following the Passover. Funny, when I think of Spain's involvement with the Peace Conference, I can't help but think back to the Spanish Expulsion on July 30, 1492 when the entire Jewish community, some 200,000 people, were expelled from Spain by the same King that sent Columbus on his journey.

The Peace Conference made a joint declaration, it was delivered by none other than Kofi Annan. Some of his statements include:
"I will now share with you the communiqué that we have agreed on."

"We reiterate that there is no military solution to the conflict and call on the parties to move towards a political resolution of their disputes based on UNSCR 242 and 338, and the principle of land for peace, which formed the basis for the Madrid Conference of 1991. We re-affirm our support to the objective expressed by President Bush and spelled out in UNSCR 1397 of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side-by-side within secure and recognized borders. We warmly welcome Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah's peace initiative, as endorsed in Beirut by the Arab League, as a significant contribution towards a comprehensive peace, including Syria and Lebanon."

"The Quartet stands ready to assist the parties in implementing their agreements, in particular the Tenet security workplan and the Mitchell recommendations, including through a third-party mechanism, as agreed to by the parties. We affirm that the Tenet and Mitchell plans must be fully implemented, including an end to all settlement activity. We affirm that there must be immediate, parallel and accelerated movement towards near-term and tangible political progress, and that there must be a defined series of steps leading to permanent peace - involving recognition, normalization and security between the sides, an end to Israeli occupation, and an end to the conflict. This will allow Israel to enjoy enduring peace and security and the Palestinian people to realize their hopes and aspirations in security and dignity."

"In support of these objectives, we call on the international community, particularly the Arab states, to preserve, strengthen and assist the Palestinian Authority, including through efforts to rebuild its infrastructure, security and governance capacity. We call also on the donor community and the international financial institutions to renew their commitment to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, and to assist in economic and institutional reconstruction. We pay tribute to the courageous efforts of the humanitarian agencies and workers."

"We agreed on the need to keep the situation in the Middle East under review by the Quartet at the principal's level through regular consultations. Our Special Envoys will continue their efforts on the ground to assist the parties in reaching an end to confrontation and resumption of political negotiations."

The Mid-East peace initiatives as they are called also include the:
• Lausanne Conference (1949)
• Camp David Accords (1978)
• Madrid Conference (1991)
• Oslo Accords (1993 & 1995)
• Hebron Protocol (1997)

• Arab Peace Initiative (2002)
• Road Map for Peace (2003)
• The Geneva Accord (2003)
• Annapolis Conference (2007)
• Paris Peace Conference (2017) **New**
The prophet Daniel gives a warning about one that will divide the land for gain between the people of "a strange god" and the people of YHVH the God of Israel:
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. Daniel 11:39
A strange god... can you spell Allah? By the way, the word for 'gain' Daniel uses here is "mĕchiyr". It is from an unused root meaning 'to buy'. As in 'buying' peace and security.

I encourage you to read all of Daniel 10, Daniel 11 and Daniel 12. When you do, remember Daniel did not write with chapter and verse breaks when he recorded His meeting with the one clothed in linen and gold, whose face was as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

On the island of Pathmos, the apostle John also saw the same 'One'. Who do you think He is?
"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters." Revelation 1:12-15
Can you spell Yeshua? He is the King of Kings, the one all prophets write about.

One day you will see, that "a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation" that many have worried and written about is tied directly to the division of the land of Israel.

The prophets talk about "The Day of The Lord. These include Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Obadiah, Zephaniah, Malachi and Zechariah.

Paul and Peter also write of this day in Revelation, John wraps up the talk about the "Day of the Lord". He was taken there in a vision of the millennium:
"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last..." Revelation 1:10-11
Peter (2 Peter 3:8) teaches from Psalm 90:4 that a day is reckoned to be a thousand years, a millennium. It is the day:
Nations will divide
Gaza will be forsaken
Jews will be removed
Nations will be judged
A restored nation will arise!
The division of the Promised Land is also know as the "Controversy of Zion".

Read Isaiah 34-1-17 and you will see
the day of vengeance
is due to man's breach
in the covenant with Abraham.

Joel 3:2 speaks of the "valley of decision" that results from the division controversy of Zion before the day of the Lord. I believe the result of the division may bring on the darkness of the tribulation period that so many have commented about over the years.

Take note, Zechariah 14:1-2 warns of the day Jerusalem will be divided by Palestinian state and Zephaniah 2:4 warns of the time that Gaza is forsaken.... This has already happened, in 2005 it began in Gush Katif, Gaza.

It's time to heed Joel 2:1-2 and blow the trumpet as a watchman.... "for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness."

Importantly, Joel 3:6 warns of selling out to the Grecian's. Democracy comes from Greece. America heed the warning as you seek to divide for peace!! Don't curse yourself.

Jeremiah 30:7 also warns of 'Jacob's Trouble' but there is a great blessing from the tribulation: "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it."

If we read on top Jeremiah 30:12 we see the prophet teaches about the 'wound' of exile: "For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous." The wound is the exile to be healed, that can not be done by division. Dividing the land opposes the healing. Jeremiah 30:7-11 speaks of the judgment of nations caused by dividing the land, and Jerusalem.

Babylon, the glory of kingdoms will be judged. Isaiah 13:1-19 speaks of this day of The Lord. The burden of Babylon will be felt on the Grecians. God will engage judgment on the glory of nations that seek to divide His covenant.

Old glory has a big problem America.

"Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them."

The Medes are the Iranians of today... They back Islam's radical jihadist terror networks around the globe. Their jihad was perhaps first noticed in Lebanon where Iran backs the radicals of Hezbollah. The U.S. Marine barracks bombings in October 23, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon killed 299 American and French servicemen as 128 other Marines were wounded making this 'craftsmen chaos' the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since World War II's Battle of Iwo Jima. At the time, a previously unknown group called the "Islamic Jihad" claimed responsibility for the bombings.

This chaos of terror was seen again on 9/11 and "Islamic Jihad" was no longer obscure to anyone with eyes to see or hear to hear. You may have missed this but three weeks after 9/11, the families of the U.S. servicemen who were killed in Beirut as well as many survivors filed civil suits against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for the act of state-sponsored terrorism. Iran was found guilty for providing Hezbollah with financial and logistical support. The judgment awarded awarded $2.7 billion to the plaintiffs but no payment has been made by Iran's craftsmen of chaos. The Beirut Memorial is located at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

We might see the prophet's words tell us more is to come. Zechariah 14:12 appears to warn of plague of chemical weapons biological or even nuclear warfare.

To much given is much required. American has been called to stand for Zion and the covenant of Abraham not to seek to destroy it. But the U.S. has left our founding Biblical principles, we too have rejected our Father in Heaven. We have banned prayer in public schools, condemned the display of the Ten Commandments, legalized murder by abortion and beware, our last rejection may be tied to the ways of Sodom.

This may be foretold by Isaiah 13:19 "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah."

What we have seen in Beirut and New York 9/11 gives the world a dire message, this is not just a war of jihad terrorism. It’s a dark spiritual war.

It is a part of the 'great war' that began in 1948.

At that time the Arab States launched their first attack on the new nation state of Israel with no provocation but in the end, God used the first battle to establish the armistice lines (the Green Line) between Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The second great battle occurred in 1967 between Egypt, Jordan, and Syria which was supported by the nations of Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria and Saudi Arabia. At the end of this six day battle, God again used the 'great war' to expand the borders from the Green Line to the Purple Line as the territory held by Israel grew significantly from the original U.N. Partition Plan.

The West Bank was returned as the former allotment of Judah, Simeon, Ephraim and Issachar were restored. This included East Jerusalem, the former allotment of Benjamin that was taken back from Jordan and the Golan Heights, a portion of the allotment to Manasseh was taken back from Syria. Finally, the Sinai which is the allotment of Simeon was taken from Egypt but returned after Israel's three year battle with the Egyptians during the War of Attrition that concluded in 1970. A fourth land battle occurred in 1973 during the battle of the Yom Kippur War. It was led by Egypt and Syria as an attempt to unwind the victory of 1967, but it failed miserably as the Arab states returned home defeated.

For nearly 40 years since, Israel has seen many other battles, but they have not been about the allotment of the land promised to Abraham and commanded for Joshua to take possession of, instead they have been about protection from terror. These include the 1982 Lebanon War when the IDF moved into southern Lebanon to expel the PLO from the territory and again in 2006 when the IDF battled radical Hezbollah factions. Since that time, there have been numerous deadly skirmishes caused by rocket attacks from Gaza, the land of Goliath.

All of this is about God's word of truth, His promise vs. Satan's deception and theft of God's promises. It's about the dark control of earth and the epicenter of the conflict is Jerusalem.

The “deadly wound” of the Leopard, Bear and Lion of the Arab world has healed, yet secular governments and many in "the church" are deaf and dumb standing on the sidelines as Satan continues to seek control of God’s footstool and the mountains of the Holy Land and His House of Prayer for all nations.

Today, the 'great war' over the covenant promise continues and the "The Quartet" is now acting foolishly as they operate with direction from former President Bush's "Roadmap" plan that came out of three key agreements between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). These meetings occurred at seven (7) year intervals, they are:
1) the 1993 Oslo Accords,
2) the 2000 Camp David Accords and
3) the 2007 Annapolis Summit.
There will be other summits, other meetings, but these three stand out today like Balak's intended curse, but Baalam wisely refused saying:
“From Aram Balak has brought me,
the king of Moab from the eastern mountains:
‘Come, curse Jacob for me,
and come, denounce Israel!’

How can I curse whom God has not cursed?
How can I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?

For from the top of the crags I see him,
from the hills I behold him;
behold, a people dwelling alone,
and not counting itself among the nations!

Who can count the dust of Jacob
or number the fourth part of Israel?

Let me die the death of the upright,
and let my end be like his!”

And Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have done nothing but bless them.” Numbers 23:8-11
The "Balaam" game plan to curse, and that is the missions of "The Quartet" who will serve as the government instrument by which a sovereign Palestinian state will arise to divide the Promised Land just as Eden was divided and broken by sin.

Mocking God, and cursing Israel, the Quartet "Roadmap" demands seven (7) points:
1. Creation of a Palestinian state that will divide Israel and Jerusalem. This state is to be sovereign and independent. This Palestinian state will receive international recognition and a seat in the United Nations.

2. Initiate an international observer force, which will examine Israeli-Palestinian progress.

3. Guarantee that both sides implement all obligations simultaneously.

4. The Quartet will be directly involved in all negotiations and in all facets of a Palestinian transition, including, financial, administrative, legal, and security issues.

5. The Quartet will uproot settlements and freeze all settlement activity, including any natural growth Israeli communities. Force Israel to reopen all Palestinian offices and institutions dealing with commerce, business and economy, which were closed in East Jerusalem.

6. Concerning security, the United States, Egypt and Jordan will be involved in security guarantees between Israel and the Palestinians.

7. The road map demands an international conference to attain peace on all fronts, including the Israeli-Syria-Lebanese, disputes.

If Zechariah actually saw the symbolism of this modern day "Quartet" in his dream vision, then perhaps the prophet Joel foretold the outcome of today's dispute in chapter three of his ancient scroll regarding today's so-called 'Palestinian conflict' when he wrote this for us from the voice of God that was given to him so long ago:
“What are you to me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia [Palestinian Gaza] Are you paying me back for something?

If you are paying me back, I will return your payment on your own head swiftly and speedily.... You have sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks [The Quartet?] in order to remove them far from their own border... I will return your payment on your own head.

... Proclaim this among the nations:

Consecrate for war; stir up the mighty men.
Let all the men of war draw near; let them come up.
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears;
Let the weak say, “I am a warrior.

Hasten and come all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves there. Bring down your warriors, O Lord.

Let the nations stir themselves up and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. But the Lord is a refuge to his people, a stronghold to the people of Israel. Joel 3:4-16
Here, anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear knows the prophet Joel clearly distinguishes the western Mediterranean sea coast when he says "all the regions of Philistia". Just look at this map from Colton, Ohman & Co. N.Y. 1899 that shows the Philistine territory.

Why did Philistia remain?

It is important in a historical and prophetic sense to realize that the Philistine people occupied the region of southwest Canaan before the Israelites came into the area in the time of Joshua in the period of the conquest by Israel. Indeed, the Israelites did not drive them out of the land, so God told Israel that the people would be allowed to stay in that area of Canaan as a thorn (in the side) of Israel (see Judges 2:3, 21–23; also 3:1–5).

Many are aware of the thorn of the Apostle Paul, but no one knows what it was, but for Israel, there is Gaza, it there today by God's ancient decree that has not been withdrawn - the people in the coast land area of Gaza are to be a thorn. They are also joined as a part of the ten nations that will oppose Israel. These ten are named in Psalm 83:1-8 and they are described in both Daniel and Revelation.

Surprised?

The Jewish people (those of the southern Kingdom of Judah) and the northern ten tribes of Israel (the lost sheep of Ephraim) never occupied these coastal regions even though part of the area was given to Judah and partly to the tribe of Dan in the time of Joshua. However, because the early Israelites failed to drive out the inhabitants of this area as instructed before Joshua died, God informed them that those regions be inhabited by Philistines. I could be wrong but it does appear that this provides a Biblical basis for today’s Gaza after Israel withdrew from the area two days after Tisha B’Av in August 2005.

Israel allowed the Philistines to stay in the area in days past and any Biblical map you can find will reflect this. Why? Because God reckoned it as an area for the existence of the Philistines (read Judges 2:20–23 below). So far, Philistia is NOT part of the Biblical heritage land of Israel:
“And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died: That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep [it], or not. Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.” Judges 2:20-23
We see Gaza as separate in Joshua:
Joshua 11:22 There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.
And in Samuel:
1Samuel 13:19 Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make [them] swords or spears:

1Samuel 27:1 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: [there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

1Samuel 29:11 So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

1Samuel 30:16 And when he had brought him down, behold, [they were] spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

1Samuel 31:9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish [it in] the house of their idols, and among the people.
They remained through the days of King David and Solomon but this is temporary, (at least in God's view of time) because in the beginning God said: "And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once..." Deuteronomy 7:22

This putting out will occur in "the end" when "The Lord" returns and keeps this promise that is repeated in Revelation: "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Revelation 19:15

Yet, Israel and the West Bank land is a heritage land without question.

In the Bible, any Palestinian State should not include what we now call the West Bank. Yes, there is "Quartet" talk that the Palestinians ought to be given part of Jerusalem and the West Bank (Judaea and Samaria) as well as the Gaza Strip effectively "dividing" the land against Scripture. This opposes God's word.

Why? Because (Judaea and Samaria) the so-called "West Bank" as many call it today is the heartland of the ancient area promised Ephraim and it is recorded in the Bible and history that the Philistines have not inhabited these interior lands. The West Bank has always been Israelite territory.

If the Israelis ever agree to allow parts Jerusalem and the West Bank to be the regions of Philistia aka a part of the State of Palestine as a result today's global political peace pressure, the situation will have a global impact yet the so-called peace will ONLY BE VERY temporary. The reason: it will cause the heavy stone of Jerusalem to be cast from the prophetic future of the prophets long ago right into our time zone.

Welcome to the Bible times, you in them. The "end time" promise for Judea and Samaria is this given by God to Ezekiel:
"For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, [even] I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep [that are] scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. Ezekiel 34:11-13

WE MUST KNOW
those that press to divide
Israel and Jerusalem
for "peace" by name.

It does appear likely that Zechariah's vision describes "The Quartet" that patrols the earth today which are actually three nations and "the world" represented by these four:

1) United States
2) Russia
3) European Union
4) United Nations

It is VERY plausible that Zechariah is warning the planet about the mission of the "The Quartet" when you just think about it. After all, any Bible scholar will tell you that symbolically: Horns = Government throughout Bible prophecy. So, you must ask yourself, do I ignore the prophet of old or do I listen to him today and seek understanding of the four horns described by Zechariah and consider they may very well represent the governmental authority of "The Quartet" that are established with the sole purpose to divide Jerusalem, the land of Israel and give God's heritage to a Philistia State?

And what about the four "craftsmen"? Just as Zechariah says, are they four nations that oppose "The Quartet" but not opposing the four horsemen because the seek to divide the land but for no other reason than to cause chaos and threaten the planet?

When you read about the objective of today's modern horsemen: "The Quartet", it is clear that they all, perhaps unwittingly, share the same mission - - they oppose Scripture and seek to divide God's Promised Land for peace.

But there is a plain warning for them in Isaiah 5:20:
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
The warning from Isaiah that is that the guilty will be see judgment from the God of Israel. Our nation has been guilty before God of this great sin since the Madrid Conference, so it is only a matter of time that God's judgment and a dark day will come when we seek to divide the Promised Land. I believe that Yeshua told His disciples about this day when he gave His prophecy recorded by Luke and Matthew until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled... Just take a look at Luke 21:25-26 as He describes the scene so that you will know what to watch for:
“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken."
That is why I have posted this very extensive warning. If a watchman fails, God says there is a price to pay and I want no part of it:
"Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul." Ezekiel 3:17-19
If you are like me you may wonder, what do horses have to do with "The Quartet"?

Do we see them described in Revelation 6:1-8?

Horses are used as a symbol of power in Scripture but why? Back in Zechariah's day, the Persian king's representatives traveled by horseback from province to province and reported important events and information back to their king. Isn't that just like the representatives of "The Quartet" as they travel around the globe today pressing on to deliver their word about the division of Israel "for peace" and reporting back to the international community that continually pressures Israel?

You may have read Zechariah 12 many times. If so, read it again.

The key is God's declaration that HE IS VERY focused on Jerusalem. But did you ever notice the reference to the horsemen given here by Zechariah 12? The horsemen have a grave problem as they oppose the Jewish people in Jerusalem!
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. Zechariah 12:2-4
So, what is it about the four craftsmen that Zechariah also saw, who are they?

Just look at Zechariah's plain truth about the craftsmen...

They terrorize those that seek to divide Israel.

Who do we see today that oppose The Quartet?

Who else but the "Axis of Evil" namely the four nations that actively have it in their heart to threaten world stability:

1. Iraq
2. North Korea
3. Iran
4. Syria

As global pressure to divide the Promised Land increases, these "craftsmen of chaos" will start making a huge and horrific impact on world headlines as their disruptive plans of chaos unfolds. We need to pray for the people of Iraq, North Korea, Iran and Syria.

And if you think the saga of chaos from Iraq is over, think again. It's just beginning. Why do I say this?

Troop Withdrawal.

Coming up in 2011, Iraq will fall again into a state of terror and sectarian violence after the withdrawal of U.S. troops and the chaos boiling within will spill over as the dangerous threat to humanity is increases from the proponents of Global Islamic Jihad.

This will engage the crimes of Iran that seeks nuclear power status and a continuation of their Islamic Revolution. It's goals are simple, to sever the United States from the Middle East, to re-establish Islamic governments lost at the end of World War I and to push Israel into the sea and establish an Islamic nation state called Palestine. This 'Haman nation' supported by Russia and China should worry everyone. Perhaps the worst case is they might work on joint nuclear weaponry and long range missile development with North Korea. But there are more craftsmen out there. Al-Qaida and its factions that destroyed the Twin Towers on 9/11 are alive and as demonically evil as ever.

Listen out there, wake up!!!!

It has been 70 years since we have seen such a dark and evil alliance of the "craftsmen of chaos".

God cares about His calendar and timelines so we are to pay attention to them. That is why he gave us Genesis 1:24; Daniel 2:21; Daniel 2; Daniel 12; 1Timothy 5:1; Jeremiah 8:7; Acts 3:19; Hosea 6:2; Revelation 11; Revelation 12; Revelation 13 and Leviticus 25.

Yesterday, the world was put at war by Germany in World War II and the Ottoman Empire was a big part of World War I although man miss it. And today, the tide of evil has shifted to radical Islam, Iran and North Korea.

Did you know a state of war has continued in North Korea since 1950? That's 60 years. The shooting ended ended with an armistice in 1953, that armistice is not a peace treaty. If you wonder why North Korea's leaders hate the U.S., then you should know that depending on the source, historians say North Korea lost nearly 30% of its population over the three year period of bombings.

In that same armistice year, a coup was backed by the CIA against the Iran's Prime Minister who opposed the Shah of Iran. The Iranian Revolution of 1978–79 is directly tied to the 1953 event. Today, like North Korea, the Iranian clerics and Imams every effort to suppress all western influence.

Seventy (70) years ago, concerted evil focused on Judah's destruction by Hitler. Some 2,700 years ago, Assyria attacked Ephraim, northern Israel's 10 tribes. Today, the Assyrians are still enraged. Syria, a proxy of Iran will soon be front and center on the stage of global conflict.

On September 25, 2007 which was the two days before The Feast of Tabernacles, C-Span reported:

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the United Nations General Assembly on the opening day of the 62nd session. In his remarks he vowed not to give in to pressure by “arrogant powers” trying to force him to abandon his nation’s uranium-enrichment program and unilaterally declared that as far as he is concerned, “the nuclear issue of Iran is now closed.”"

Amazingly, this 2005 Washington Post article that is almost impossible to comprehend today actually states that a member of "The Quartet" worked to facilitate a nuclear Iran in 1976, during the year of its 200th anniversary. In it, Henry Kissinger is quoted as saying:
"I don't think the issue of proliferation came up," Henry A. Kissinger, who was Ford's Secretary of State, said in an interview for this article.
The 2005 article goes on to say:
"The U.S. offer, details of which appear in declassified documents reviewed by The Washington Post, did not include the uranium enrichment capabilities Iran is seeking today. But the United States tried to accommodate Iranian demands for plutonium reprocessing, which produces the key ingredient of a bomb.

After balking initially, President Gerald R. Ford signed a directive in 1976 offering Tehran the chance to buy and operate a U.S. built reprocessing facility for extracting plutonium from nuclear reactor fuel. The deal was for a complete "nuclear fuel cycle" -- reactors powered by and regenerating fissile materials on a self-sustaining basis.

That is precisely the ability the current administration is trying to prevent Iran from acquiring today."

"The U.S.-Iran deal was shelved when the shah was toppled in the 1979 revolution that led to the taking of American hostages and severing of diplomatic relations."
Today, in a bizarre twist in prophecy, four regimes of chaos, the "craftsmen" oppose "The Quartet" on the world's stage.

Yet there is another evil that lurks like ancient Amalek. On February 2nd, CBS News reported that U.S. Intelligence officials told the U.S. Congress Al Qaeda can be expected to attempt an attack on the United States in the next three to six months, senior U.S. intelligence officials told Congress on Tuesday. In this video report "current" CIA Director Panetta says an attack is a certainty.

In addition, Arutz Sheva has reported that: "the Supreme Islamic Iranian leader and commander-in-chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that Iran will one day deliver a "stunning punch" during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution. "The Iranian nation, with its unity and the grace of Allah, will punch the arrogance [Western powers] on the 22nd of Bahman in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei told a gathering of air force personnel. The anniversary marks the date that Iran's air force gave its support to revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khomeini, leading to the toppling of the US-backed shah in 1979."

Wake up, don't get sidetracked and be lulled into a stupor as prophecy unfolds. Be a Watchman!!

At the same time we are being warned, few are paying attention.

Individual foreign organizations, indeed constituent "craftsmen" like Al-Jihad, Mujahadin-e Khalq Organization and Al-Qa’ida terrorize the nations of the world outside the U.S. while Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist groups boldly send terror daily as they mount opposition to the State of Israel by firing missiles across the borders into the Promised Land as they stockpile these arrows to achieve their goal of eliminating Israel, the "little Satan". And Iran, with a much more advanced threat, seems to stand poised and ready for potential mass violence and bloodshed against Israel and the "great Satan" (USA) as they continue their relentless and maniacal pursuit to bring forth of Al-Mahdi, the 12th Imam through chaos with Russia and North Korea by the development of nuclear technologies in abject defiance of the normalized international community.

On February 4, 2010, the Brookings Institute had something to say about the Al-Qa’ida "craftsmen" threat:
"The heads of the American intelligence community warned Congress on Tuesday in their annual threat assessments that an al Qaeda attack on the United States homeland is likely in 2010. This follows a series of incidents and arrests in 2009 that showed al Qaeda and its allies have change their tactics for attacking the homeland. For several years after 2002, al Qaeda seemed fixated on conducting another mass-casualty attack here even more horrifying than 9/11... Now, perhaps because of the pressure we are putting on the al Qaeda core in Pakistan, the bar has apparently been lowered. Al Qaeda’s affiliates and allies like the al Qaeda cells in Yemen have been encouraged to go for smaller, if still lethal, attacks. If they can’t score a home run, go for a bunch of singles... So if al Qaeda is now broadening the scope of its attacks, we must adjust to the change and broaden our counter measures. We need to aggressively disrupt and take down not just the al Qaeda core in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but step up the pressure on al Qaeda cells in Yemen, the Maghreb, Indonesia, Iraq, and on al Qaeda’s allies like Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Pakistani Taliban, who also operate in the West. This means putting more intelligence resources and diplomatic efforts into persuading all of our allies in the war with al Qaeda to preempt terror with take-downs of jihadist cells."
And today the country of Jordan which is led by King Abdullah II urged the United States to give its "undivided attention" to fully engage in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. His statements included:
"We are waiting for the US to give us undivided attention on this issue... If we don't get a clear mandate over the next month or so I'm not convinced we will be able to move forward... "Sooner or later there's an invisible line in the sand that we will cross that will be clear to everyone whether the viability of a two-state solution is there and I hope we haven't crossed that yet. When we cross that line, God forbid, the Middle East will be doomed to many decades of instability... "Our challenge and the international community's challenge is reaching out to the Israeli public and saying - Do you want to continue being 'Fortress Israel'? We want a two-state solution so that you can be accepted into the neighborhood."
He also stated that the issue of a nuclear Iran was not the central cause of instability in the region and he went on to say that solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would help solve the conflict with Iran as well as al-Qaida.

Both the Haman nation of Persia we now call Iran and al-Qaida have recently announced their support of a Palestinian state, the state of Esau with the goal of dividing, then wiping Israel off the map. King Abdullah II went on to say:
"it is the injustice felt towards the Palestinians that allows state actors and non-state actors to take the role of the defenders of Palestine."
We all need to study the Word of God. Psalm 22:27-28 is a good place to start:
"All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom [is] the LORD'S: and he [is] the governor among the nations."
I'd encourage you to watch King Abdullah's interview on CNN with Fareed Zakaria. Also, you may want to visit The King's own website.

With the increase of tensions among the nations whose alliance opposes Israel, coupled with the rise of a possible embattled Assyria - - err I mean Syria. Syria is a proxy of Iran and Iran's rhetoric against Israel is ominous as the Iranian leaders grow more brazen in their pursuit of nuclear weapons each day, it now seems very plausible that we are now moving fast forward toward the ten nation conflict of Daniel, Revelation and Psalm 83...
"A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you — the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal,a Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot." Psalm 83

Watchmen: You Need to Know Prophecy and Pray everyday!!

As "watchmen" we must remember: Zechariah 12 records the burden of the word that God has to say to warn all nations of their destruction if they come against those of Judah who live in Jerusalem...the prophetic message continues on into chapter 13 and conclude in chapter 14 when we are told the horrible details of consequence against the peoples that will fight against Jerusalem:
And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. Zechariah 14:12
Jimmy Carter sought to serve on a nuclear submarine so I pray he would read God's word and understand. Then he could discuss Zechariah's warning with The Quartet instead of the counsel that he has given to them over the past 25 years, because dividing the land and Jerusalem for the Quartet's Peace Plan will not stand. They are afraid if they do not do this they can not have lasting peace, but they need to fear God instead.
"Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us. For the Lord spoke thus to me with his strong hand upon me, and warned me not to walk in the way of this people, saying: "Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread." Isaiah 8:10-13
If only our former President could take a view moments to share a short film: Dry Bones" (1968) by Shira Sorko-Ram with the Quartet's leadership just as it was shared as a witness to Israel's former Prime Minister Golda Meir in 1971.

"Dry Bones" (1968) A film by Shira Sorko-Ram from maozisrael on Vimeo.

That may not happen, Carter or any other Quartet leader will likely not watch, learn or listen so I ask that you stand with me in daily prayer that the nations that seek to divide Israel will seek and fear YHVH, God's name instead.

Update March 3, 2009: Hillary Clinton offers handshake of friendship to Syria "It was a brief but significant gesture: in the hubbub of the Gaza donor’s conference in Egypt, Hillary Clinton, the U.S. Secretary of State, shook hands and exchanged a few words yesterday with Walid Mouallem, her Syrian counterpart.

In the Middle East, where even the slightest gesture is closely scrutinized, the brief encounter was seen as a sign that Washington was prepared to mend fences with Syria, whose leader, Bashar Assad, was treated as a pariah by the Bush Administration."

Update March 19, 2010: Moscow - Middle East Quartet Statement - "The Quartet—U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Peace George Mitchell, and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union Catherine Ashton—met in Moscow on March 19, 2010. They were joined by Quartet Representative Tony Blair."
"The Quartet reiterates its call on Israel and the Palestinians to act on the basis of international law and on their previous agreements and obligations — in particular adherence to the Roadmap...

"The Quartet urges the government of Israel to freeze all settlement activity..."

"Recalling that the annexation of East Jerusalem is not recognized by the international community, the Quartet underscores that the status of Jerusalem is a permanent status issue that must be resolved through negotiations between the parties and condemns the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem.

The Quartet re-affirms its intention to closely monitor developments in Jerusalem and to keep under consideration additional steps that may be required to address the situation on the ground."

"Recalling that transformative change on the ground is integral to peace, the Quartet continues to support the Palestinian Authority's plan of August 2009 for building the Palestinian state within 24 months..."

"The Quartet further calls on all states in the region and in the wider international community to match the Palestinian commitment to state-building by contributing immediate, concrete, and sustained support for the Palestinian Authority..."

"Recognizing the significance of the Arab Peace Initiative, the Quartet looks forward to closer cooperation with the parties and the Arab League..."

"The Quartet commits to remain actively involved on all tracks and to encourage and review progress."
Update April 7, 2010: Wall Street Journal - King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein has raised the bar on increasing his negative view and statements against Israel. His interview with the Wall Street Journal this week is VERY alarming. He states:
"Israel´s long-term future in danger if peace cannot be achieved."
"Over the Israeli-Lebanese border; if you spoke (to some Lebanese) today they feel there is going to be a war any second. (It) looks like there is an attempt by certain groups to promote a third intifada, which would be disastrous. Jerusalem as you are well aware is a tinderbox that could go off at any time, and then there is the overriding concern about military action between Israel and Iran."
"Our relationship with Israel is at an all-bottom low. It hasn't been as bad as it is today and as tense as it is today."
"There is no real economic relationship between Jordan and Israel. So economically we were better off in trade and in movement before my father signed the peace treaty."
The challenge now, and the challenge I have in discussions with Arab and Muslim leaders, is the question of U.S. credibility. (The credibility of the whole peace process) is at an all-time low because expectations were so high, maybe unfairly high."
Obama is being tough on the issue of settlements, but again the American public (needs to see that) it's not just Obama; you've got to realize the Europeans, the Russians, the Chinese and the international community are very frustrated with Israel politics."
"There are elements that are actively pushing for a third intifada. There are heightened tensions. Gaza, as you've been seeing, is not all that stable. Jerusalem is a time bomb that I fear is just waiting to go off."
"If there are those that are saying that Iran is playing mischief, then I say it is being allowed to play mischief. The platform they use is the injustice of the Palestinians and Jerusalem. So if you start taking those cards off the table, then Iranian influence on the Mediterranean through Hezbollah and Hamas in Gaza diminishes or becomes non existent. My view is that I am really against any military action in Iran, that is Pandora's box. But by dealing with the core issue, that's when you start taking cards away from the Iranian regime."
For some perspective on the views against Israel that are coming from Jordan consider this. As reported by Israel Today Jordan now claims that the Dead Sea Scrolls belong to them. The Hebrew scrolls are currently on tour in Canada and the Jordanian Ministry of Antiquities has asked Canada to seize the exhibits and return them to Canada stating that the scrolls were found in 1947 when there was no state of Israel and that the scrolls were confiscated by the Israelis during the Six Day War.

Jordan claims their return under the 1954 Hague Convention. So ask yourself... why would the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a Muslim country that was home to the Canaanites, the Edomites and the Moabites, a country that follows Sunni Islam and the Koran yet is led by a "King" want these treasures, these original Hebrew scrolls of the Scriptures? Odd isn't it. It is time to keep our eyes on the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. My guess is that soon deep trouble is headed to Jordan, perhaps its already there, a danger within.

Update April 14, 2010: Is it just a bizarre coincidence that the next day after The Quartet's declaration that Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano erupted stopping all air travel between the U.N. powers of the U.S., the E.U. and Russia spreading ashes over Europe during Holocaust Remembrance Week? A friend shared the significance of the nightmarish volcano, its ashes and the week which memorializes the grievous loss of six million Jewish lives during the Holocaust of World War II.

Update April 18, 2010: From The Sunday Times - Israel warns Syria over Hezbollah attacks:

"Israel has delivered a secret warning to Syrian President Bashar Assad that it will respond to missile attacks from Hezbollah, the militant Lebanese-based Islamist group, by launching immediate retaliation against Syria itself. In a message, sent earlier this month, Israel made it clear that it now regards Hezbollah as a division of the Syrian army and that reprisals against Syria will be fast and devastating."

"Reports that Syria has supplied Hezbollah with Russian-made Scud ballistic missiles have alarmed Israeli ministers. The missiles have the potential to reach the entire country and could carry chemical warheads. New gas masks are being supplied to Israel’s entire population, with an intensive television advertising campaign underway to stress their importance.

Hezbollah, which was set up in 1982 by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and fought a 34-day with Israel in 2006, has built-up an arsenal of 40,000 missiles and rockets, according to Ehud Barak, Israel’s defence minister."

Update April 29, 2010: Haaretz reports: "Jordan's King Abdullah II warned Thursday that the situation in the Middle East could "explode" due to Israel's building of settlements in East Jerusalem.

"I am afraid the tension could develop into an explosion with all parties paying the price," the monarch said in a speech to the annual conference of Jordanian ambassadors. His comments came ahead of a meeting this weekend of the Arab League in Cairo, which may herald the resumption of indirect talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

Abdullah accused Israel of "playing with fire" by carrying out unilateral actions in East Jerusalem which the Jewish state captured from Jordan in the 1967 war.

"Israel should choose between living in an isolated fortress in the region or reaching peace with all Arab and Islamic states in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative," he said.

The Arab peace plan, which was launched at the Arab summit conference in Beirut in 2002, offers Israel recognition by all Arab states if it pulled out from all the Arab territories it occupied in the 1967 war, including Jerusalem.

Two weeks ago, Syria's King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein told the Chicago Tribune that a war could break out in the Middle East this summer if no progress is made in restarting Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. "If we hit the summer and there's no active [peace] process, there's a very good chance for conflict, and nobody wins when it comes to that," Abdullah said."

Update May 6, 2010:: PJTV BREAKING NEWS Middle East on the Edge 2010 - Major General Paul E. Vallely Ret. Former US General Warns of Chemical Attacks Against Israel. Potential Hezbollah offensive includes chemically armed SCUD missiles with a 450 km range, preemptive strikes on air fields, and a wave of tunnel attacks that cross from Lebanon into Israel (12 min. video).

This is NOT rhetoric folks. It is serious. Did you know that 35 tons of rockets and other war munitions were recently averted from delivery?

Israel says seized North Korean arms were for Hamas, Hezbollah (Reuters) - "The Israeli foreign minister said on Wednesday that North Korean weapons seized in Thailand last year were headed for Islamist groups Hamas and Hezbollah. More than 35 tonnes of arms including rockets and rocket-propelled grenades were seized from a cargo plane after it made an emergency landing at a Bangkok airport in December. Thai authorities said the plane came from North Korea. In January, the Thai government sent a report to the U.N. Security Council stating the weapons were headed for Iran, which is allied to Syria."

If the Hezbollah attack scenario becomes a reality, how do you think the Quartet that seeks to divide Jerusalem and the land will respond? Cliff May of "Foundation for Defense of Democracies" provides his opinion, insight and advice regarding a U.S. response. Jonathan Schanzer also of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and the Hudson Institute’s Lee Smith provide further insight from PJTV. Today, Hezbollah links Syria and Lebanon together.

Zechariah the Prophet spoke of Northern Lebanon (land of Hadrach - Chapter 9) and Damascus, Syria which is believed to be the world's oldest continuously inhabited city. Isaiah also wrote of the ancient city of Damascus.

Will WE SOON witness the fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah 17:1? Only The Lord knows, but if this becomes a current event then all who call themselves "Israel" will be involved:
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Keep not silent and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. Hear the words of God:
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7
Update May 12, 2010: Netanyahu turns to Bible in tussle over Jerusalem. (Reuters) - "Beset by questions about Jerusalem's future in talks with the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached for the Bible on Wednesday to stake out the Jewish state's contested claim on the city."

Netanyahu's comments on Jerusalem Day are recorded at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If you do not understand the mindset of those wanting to divide Israel and Jerusalem, this may help. It is the The Palestine National Charter posted on the United Nations website. Here's an excerpt form their charter:
"The Balfour Declaration, the Mandate for Palestine and everything that has been based upon them, are deemed null and void. Claims of historical or religious ties of Jews with Palestine are incompatible with the facts of history and the true conception of what constitutes statehood. Judaism, being a religion, is not an independent nationality. Nor do Jews constitute a single nation with an identity of its own; they are citizens of the states to which they belong.
The demands of security and peace, as well as the demands of right and justice, require all states to consider Zionism an illegitimate movement, to outlaw its existence, and to ban its operations..."
That's the mindset of the Palestinian people and a nuclear Iran has joined in the opposition to wipe Israel "off the map". Radio Free Europe reports: "President Ahmadinejad had harsh words for Islamic countries that might recognize Israel. "Anybody who takes a step toward Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury" he said."

He has also said: "“God willing, in the near future we will witness the destruction of the corrupt occupier regime,” Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying during a speech to foreign guests mostly from African, Arab and neighboring countries who attended ceremonies marking the 18th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who is known as the father of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution."

Can the prophecy of Psalms 83 be any clearer?
"Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you — the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal,a Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot." Psalms 83:4-8
In Scripture numbers are important. Twelve is the number of Israel. There are 12 tribes named in the Exodus. Did you know that The Strategic Foresight Group reported this time last year that the cost of the Middle East conflict is now 12 trillion? "So, we have 13 countries and a loss of $12 trillion!

The economic costs accounted for in this study include direct costs incurred due to destruction and damage caused by war, opportunity costs reflecting growth that did not take place due to conflict environment, opportunity costs reflecting trade and investment opportunities missed and indirect costs. The indirect costs could be manifested by for example the sense of despair, social orthodoxy and lack of trust. The countries researched in this report are Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestinian Territory, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and UAE. Calculations are made on the basis of GDP figures for 2006, as provided in UN stats.

The opportunity loss of $12 trillion for 1991-2010 means every citizen has lost. An Average Saudi, Lebanese, Palestinian, Israeli could have enjoyed double the income level whereas an average Iraqi would have been four times richer."

Update May 14, 2010: Russian President Reaches Out to Hamas despite Links between Chechen and Palestinian Terror Groups

"As indirect peace talks take off between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said this week that Iran-backed Hamas should play a role in the peace process. Medvedev made the announcement May 12, a day after meeting in Damascus with Hamas political leader Khaled Meshal. Russia’s overtures to Hamas come despite Israel’s support for Russian counter terrorism operations against Chechen separatist groups. Expressing disappointment over Russia’s behavior, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, “Just as Israel unconditionally supported Russia in her struggle against Chechen terror, we expect equal treatment in our struggle against Hamas.”"

Update May 20, 2010: The Palestinian Lie - A commentary by Emanuel A. Winston"
"It wasn't until 1964 (before the 1967 Six Days War, when Israel liberated and united Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and Jerusalem) that Egypt (having lost two major wars to the small in number, lightly armed Jews of Israel) created the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization). Shortly afterwards, Yasir Arafat became the Terror Leader of the Century, taking over as head of the PLO."

"What nation would willingly divide their Capital because others demanded it? Granted, conquerors don't ask, they just take. Nations, however, have their own interests and bias which is why the Christian nations of Europe, themselves persecuting Jews, found no difficulty in joining the Arabs against the Jews in the Land of Israel. Keep in mind that the European nations considered Muslims as lowly pagans, not worth of occupying Jerusalem and thus mounted several Christian Crusades from 1095 to 1291 CE to 'rescue' Jerusalem from the Muslims — killing many Jews along their journeys to Jerusalem.

The European nations managed to overcome their aversion to Arab Muslims when it came to pursuing oil and persecuting the Jews of Israel whose capital of Jerusalem was 3,000 years old and eternal. So, if it means sacrificing little Israel to a pagan people for whatever it brings in profits, oil or whatever, these nations will lie, cheat, steal, betray — all without conscience or feelings of guilt. The lie is the rule — not the exception."
Today, the U.S Congress approved a $205 million dollar funding of Israel's Iron Dome short-range rocket defense system by a vote of 410-4. According to Haaretz:

"House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Howard Berman said following the vote that "with nearly every square inch of Israel at risk from rocket and missile attacks, we must ensure that our most important ally in the region has the tools to defend itself."

"The looming threat of a nuclear-armed Iran, and the persistent threat posed by Iran's allies Hamas and Hezbollah, only serve to reinforce our longstanding commitment to Israel's security," Berman added.

Israel completed tests in January on its Iron Dome system, designed to intercept short-range rockets and artillery shells fired at Israel by Hamas and Hezbollah. Florida congressman Ted Deutch commended the "Obama Administration for supporting the critical Iron Dome system, which could help save the lives of innocent Israelis who every day live in fear of rocket attacks on their homes, schools, and marketplaces.""

This is good news on the surface of it, but $200 million does not sound like much when you consider that a 6.2 mile toll road that will be built here off Highway 290 in East Austin will cost the same amount. So, could this a part of a "deal" to divide? I pray not.

Update June 7, 2010: Israel Today reports Iranian navy threatens to break Israeli blockade "The Iranian Red Crescent on Monday announced that it had two aid ships ready to set sail for Gaza to break Israel's maritime blockade, and Iran's Revolutionary Guard offered to send its forces to thwart any Israeli attempt to intercept the vessels. The Revolutionary Guard later extended its offer of protection to any ships trying to break the Gaza maritime blockade, but had yet to receive authorization from Iran's religious authorities to take such action.

If Iranian warships were to accompany future blockade-busting "aid" flotillas, it would likely spark a very dangerous showdown with the Israeli navy, and possibly lead to regional war."

"Craftsman" report from RT TV Moscow:

Update June 12, 2010: Texas Senator Cornyn in Washington Supports Israel. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn Introduces Resolution Supporting Israel after Flotilla Attack
"Every country has a right to defend itself, and Israel is no different," Cornyn said in a written statement. "The flotilla was a disgraceful and premeditated attempt to provoke a violent confrontation with Israel, hidden under the cloak of a humanitarian relief effort. This type of despicable conduct must be condemned and I hope my colleagues will join me in cosponsoring this important resolution to help remind the world that the United States stands with Israel."
Update June 20, 2010: Yahoo News reports: Saudi king to visit Obama: White House "WASHINGTON (AFP) – President Barack Obama will host Saudi King Abdullah in Washington on June 29, the White House announced Sunday. Obama "looks forward to discussing with King Abdullah the strengthening of bilateral ties between the United States and Saudi Arabia as well as a range of common concerns related to Gulf Security, peace in the Middle East, and other regional and global matters," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said."

Folks, you need to know that June 29, 2010 is the 17th of Tammuz. Philologos reports on this day in history that:
1. Moses broke the first set of tablets of the law.

2. The daily offering in the first Temple was discontinued for lack of sheep.

3. Right before the destruction of the second Temple, the walls of Jerusalem were breached.

4. A wicked Roman ruler named Apostumus burned the Torah.

5. An idol was erected in the Holy Temple.

6. First Crusade declared, 1095.

7. King Edward I expels all Jews from England, 1290.

8. Expulsion of the Jews from Spain, 1492.

9. Pope Paul IV moves all the Jews into the ghetto, 1555.

10. Start of WWI.

11. July 16, 1994 (Tisha B'Av) Shoemaker-Levy 9 started to hit Jupiter.

12. Tammuz-17 was the name of the Iraqi nuclear reactor destroyed by Israel in 1981.
So as watchmen, shouldn't we ask ourselves: is there any significance to the King's meeting with Obama on Tammuz 17 (June 19th) and the rumor that Saudi Arabia has now given Israel a flight path to attack Iranian nuclear sites?

Is there any correlation to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scheduled visit to the Whitehouse on July 6th? Noting Saudi Arabia, we should remember President Ahmadinejad of Iran had harsh words for Islamic countries that might recognize Israel.

"Anybody who takes a step toward Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury".

Update June 24, 2010: Regarding the horrific gulf oil disaster, I am not saying that there is any direct relationship to the timing of the Deepwater Horizon gulf explosion, the oil spill and the U.S. - U.N. security policy shift toward Israel as reported by Fox News on April 19th but some people are saying there is a relationship and the warning seems significant.

The other major disasters that are related to events of the U.S. intervention in dividing the land includes Hurricane Katrina. It should be noted by the keen watchman that Katrina struck the coast of the United States mainland precisely seven days after the forced withdrawal of nearly 10,000 Jewish people from Gaza. With pressure and backing from the U.S. Israeli troops forced the withdrawal of all Israeli residents.

In addition, the events leading up to the near collapse of the U.S. and sections of the EU economies peaked on Monday September 29, 2008 when the Dow fell by 777 points the day before Rosh Hashanah, the Day of Trumpets and the beginning of the Shemittah Year (Sabbatical). This occurred on the 29th day of the Hebrew month of Elul and the stock market lost 7% of its market cap value. On October 3rd, congress approved a $700 billion bailout.

On top of that, this was exactly 7 years (one Shemittah) after the stock market lost 7% of its market cap value in 2001 on the 29th day of the Hebrew month of Elul and one month after United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visited Jerusalem and criticized Israel's settlement construction in the West. Interestingly, this was after the August 1, 2008 total solar eclipse that darkened the Sun and cast a shadow on Earth from Canada to China.

Some may say linking these events is ridiculous and unrelated. But history and the events clearly sound the shofar and speak for themselves.

The oil spill and the words of Revelation 8 are indeed a wake up call to a future event that before now, was beyond our understanding. When we consider the damage being done each day by the massive red sheen of crude oil that is been pouring up from the sea bed killing ocean life right before our eyes, perhaps we can better understand some of the disasters of Revelation from the massive platform's explosion and fire: take a minute to scroll down on this page link and look at NOAA's interactive map at MSN.com that shows the progress of the day to day spread of the poisoning of the sea from the oil spill since its explosive fire on April 20th until June 24th. When you see this it does seem likely that there could in fact be other leaks along the Gulf seabed.

Like you, I have seen the video of the wellhead and I can't understand how that much oil is coming out of that one location.

One more update for June 24th... Just what is it about the G8 Summit and earthquakes? Did you know that the G8 is comprised of members of "The Quartet" including the U.S. and Russia? In addition, representatives of the EU are extended a special invitation. Last year, just before the 2009 conference a 4.1 earthquake hit the Italian town of L'Aquila, as the G8 summit was due to open. Now, this year, another earthquake, this year a extremely rare quake hit eastern Canada near Toronto and it registered 5.0 struck just before the G8 Summit began nearby.

Update July 2, 2010 For those watching, I believe that the June 29th meeting between President Barack Huessein Obama and Saudi King Abdullah is key to this post's warning regarding the mission of the "Quartet" to divide Jerusalem. If valid, which I believe it is, this report from the Unity Coalition for Israel is really important. On July 2, 2010 UCI reported:
"Diplomatic sources said Obama relayed a pledge to Saudi King Abdullah that he would take any measure to ensure an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and Jerusalem over the next 18 months. They said Obama relayed the pledge to Abdullah during the president's trip to Riyad in June 2009, about four months after he assumed office, in exchange for Abdullah's help to arrange for the end of the Taliban war in Afghanistan."
"The sources said Abdullah has demanded U.S. guarantees that Israel would withdraw from the West Bank and most of Jerusalem by 2012. They said the Saudi king also expressed opposition to U.S. arms sales to Israel and Washington's boycott of the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip."
"During his latest meeting, Obama had been expected to urge the 86-year-old Saudi king to reconcile rival Fatah and Hamas movements to facilitate an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem."
Update July 24, 2010: In my original post I noted my concern that the "craftsmen" of North Korea opposes "The Quartet". Today, North Korea has made a threat of nuclear war due to joint U.S. and South Korean military exercises to be conducted over the next few days. This danger will intensify.

North Korea is a nuclear threat. North Korea warns of nuclear response to naval exercises SEOUL, South Korea July 24, 2010 Bloomberg reports in the Korea Herald:

"North Korea said it would counter U.S. and South Korean joint naval exercises with “nuclear deterrence” after the Obama administration said the government in Pyongyang shouldn’t take any provocative steps. North Korea will “legitimately counter with their powerful nuclear deterrence the largest-ever nuclear war exercises to be staged by the U.S. and the South Korean puppet forces,” the National Defense Commission said, according to the Korean Central News Agency."

An Associated Press report stated: "North Korea vowed Saturday to respond with "powerful nuclear deterrence" to joint U.S. and South Korean military exercises poised to begin this weekend, saying the drills amount to a provocation that would prompt "retaliatory sacred war.""

Update July 27, 2010: Reuters reports from Tehran, Iran that Ahmadinejad says expects U.S. to attack MidEast soon ""They have decided to attack at least two countries in the region in the next three months," Ahmadinejad said in excerpts broadcast on the rolling news channel on Tuesday."

Tensions are very high in and around Israel. Only our Creator knows whether war will break out in the Middle East this year but all Watchmen need to be in daily prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. Meanwhile, Arutz Sheva reports just 30 days after his visit with President Obama in Washington D.C., that King Abdullah bin Abdul- Aziz of Saudi Arabia is making a trip to visit with the leaders of all nations that surround Israel. He begins his journey in Egypt, then travels on to Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

Update August 5, 2010: Inside the Quartet...Fox News reports "Will Israel Bomb Iran This Month?"
"A group calling themselves Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity or VIPS sent a memo to President Obama warning him that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to go unilateral on Iran. They told Obama to be careful for Netanyahu might "blindside" the White House. The group claims that Israel's sole purpose is to bring a regime change in Iran and that it is using Iran nuclear threat as an excuse for an attack. "Worked well for Iraq, no?" – the veterans say. In harsh words the document blames Israel and especially the Prime Minister for manipulating the U.S. thinking he holds the "high cards" through the strong pro Israeli Lobby in the U.S."
There is certainly no "thus saith The Lord" intended here but it may be possible that we could soon see a modern precursor to the future great battle of the ram (Iran) with the goat that flew over the earth from the west (U.S.) and the subsequent emergence of the little horn that rebels against God described in Daniel 8.

We must remember Gabriel's words: "Son of man, understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.” Perhaps not, instead we could see an attack on nuclear Iran by Israel and a repeat by Obama of our President's position taken during the 1967 Six Day War.

Russia Today provides a video report of today's news of the VIPS memo:

What else have we seen in this summer from the nations that surround Israel? YNet News commentary tells us:
For the 111,000 residents of Ashkelon, located 21 kilometers (13 miles) away from the Gaza Strip, this past Friday, July 30 was a terrifying day. An Iranian Grad missile launched from Gaza exploded in the heart of a residential neighborhood, damaging buildings and vehicles and sending two civilian Israelis hospitalized for shock. A rocket alert that had residents racing to shelters prevented more serious casualties. The following Saturday night, July 31, an upgraded Qassam rocket fired at Sderot directly struck a children’s hydrotherapy rehabilitation center in Sapir College, setting off the Color Red alarm. The center, which provides therapy and workshops for hundreds of special-needs kids from across Israel until 10 at night on weekdays, was closed because of the Jewish Sabbath.
The Guardian reported on August 2nd:
One person was killed and four injured when a rocket hit the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba today. It happened when a salvo of rockets was fired from the Sinai peninsula towards the resort city of Eilat, in southern Israel. Five rockets were fired shortly before 8am, reports said. One reached open ground on the outskirts of Eilat, but there were no casualties or damage. Three landed in the Red Sea, while the other hit Aqaba.
Update August 12, 2010: MSNBC reports Top Iraq general: U.S. army 'must stay' until 2020 "LONDON — The commander of Iraq's military is calling for U.S. forces to stay in the country for another decade, reinforcing his stance that his country's military won't be able to secure the nation on their own after U.S. troops leave. "At this point, the withdrawal is going well, because they are still here, but the problem will start after 2011," Gen. Babaker Shawkat Zebari said at a defense conference in Baghdad, according to the BBC.

"The politicians must find other ways to fill the void after 2011... I were asked about the withdrawal, I would say to politicians: the U.S. army must stay until the Iraqi army is fully ready in 2020," the BBC reported."

Three key Arab-Israeli peace accords signed at 7 year intervals: The notes below are from information posted at www.wikipedia.org

1993 - The Oslo Accord is was the first direct, face-to-face agreement between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The Accords were subsequently officially signed at a public ceremony in Washington, DC on 13 September 1993, in the presence of PLO chairman Yasser Arafat, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and US President Bill Clinton. The documents themselves were signed by Mahmoud Abbas for the PLO, foreign Minister Shimon Peres for Israel, Secretary of State Warren Christopher for the United States and foreign minister Andrei Kozyrev for Russia.

Agreed minutes of These Accords:
Minute A: General understandings

Any powers and responsibilities transferred to the Palestinians through the Declaration of Principles prior to the inauguration of the Council will be subject to the same principles pertaining to Article IV, as set out in the agreed minutes below.

Minute B: Specific understandings

Article IV: Council's jurisdiction It was to be understood that: Jurisdiction of the Council would cover West Bank and Gaza Strip territory, except for issues that would be negotiated in the permanent status negotiations.

Article VI (2): Transferring authority

It was agreed that the transfer of authority would be as follows:

The Palestinians would inform the Israelis of the names of the authorized Palestinians who would assume the powers, authorities and responsibilities that would be transferred to the Palestinians according to the Declaration of Principles in the following fields: education and culture, health, social welfare, direct taxation, tourism, and any other authorities agreed upon.

Article VII (2): Cooperation

The Interim Agreement would also include arrangements for coordination and cooperation.

Article VII (5): Israel's powers

The withdrawal of the military government would not prevent Israel from exercising the powers and responsibilities not transferred to the Council.

Article VIII: Police

It was understood that the Interim Agreement would include arrangements for cooperation and coordination. It was also agreed that the transfer of powers and responsibilities to the Palestinian police would be accomplished in a phased manner. The accord stipulated that Israeli and Palestinian police would do joint patrols.

X: Designating officials

It was agreed that the Israeli and Palestinian delegations would exchange the names of the individuals designated by them as members of the Joint Israeli-Palestinian Liaison Committee which would reach decisions by agreement.

Annex XI: Israel's continuing responsibilities

It was understood that, subsequent to the Israeli withdrawal, Israel would continue to be responsible for external security, and for internal security and public order of settlements and Israelis. Israeli military forces and civilians would be allowed to continue using roads freely within the Gaza Strip and the Jericho area.
2. 2000 - The Middle East Peace Summit at Camp David of July 2000 took place between United States President Bill Clinton, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

Ultimately, it was an unsuccessful attempt to negotiate a "final status settlement" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Camp David Summit: President Clinton announced his invitation to Barak and Arafat on July 5, 2000, to come to Camp David to continue their negotiations on the Middle East peace process.

There was a hopeful precedent in the 1978 Camp David Accords where President Jimmy Carter was able to broker a peace agreement between Egypt, represented by President Anwar Sadat, and Israel represented by Prime Minister Menachem Begin.

The Oslo Accords of 1993 between the later assassinated Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Yasser Arafat had provided that agreement should be reached on all outstanding issues between the Palestinians and Israeli sides - the so-called final status settlement - within five years of the implementation of Palestinian autonomy. However, the interim process put in place under Oslo had fulfilled neither Israeli nor Palestinian expectations, and Arafat argued that the summit was premature.

On July 11, the Camp David 2000 Summit convened. The summit ended on July 25, without an agreement being reached. At its conclusion, a Trilateral Statement was issued defining the agreed principles to guide future negotiations.

Trilateral statement: President William J. Clinton — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak — Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasir Arafat Between July 11 and 24, under the auspices of President Clinton, Prime Minister Barak and Chairman Arafat met at Camp David in an effort to reach an agreement on permanent status. While they were not able to bridge the gaps and reach an agreement, their negotiations were unprecedented in both scope and detail. Building on the progress achieved at Camp David, the two leaders agreed on the following principles to guide their negotiations:
1.The two sides agreed that the aim of their negotiations is to put an end to decades of conflict and achieve a just and lasting peace.

2.The two sides commit themselves to continue their efforts to conclude an agreement on all permanent status issues as soon as possible.

3.Both sides agree that negotiations based on UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 are the only way to achieve such an agreement and they undertake to create an environment for negotiations free from pressure, intimidation and threats of violence.

4.The two sides understand the importance of avoiding unilateral actions that prejudge the outcome of negotiations and that their differences will be resolved only by good faith negotiations.

5.Both sides agree that the United States remains a vital partner in the search for peace and will continue to consult closely with President Clinton and Secretary Albright in the period ahead.
3. 2007 - The Annapolis Conference was a Middle East peace conference held on November 27, 2007, at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, United States.

The conference marked the first time a two-state solution was articulated as the mutually agreed-upon outline for addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The conference ended with the issuing of a joint statement from all parties. U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice organized and hosted the conference. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and U.S. President George W. Bush attended the meeting. A partial list of over 40 invitees was released on November 20, 2007, including China, the Arab League, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations;[2] most of whom accepted the invitation.

Joint Understanding Read by President Bush at Annapolis Conference US, Israeli and Palestinian Governments

November 27, 2007
PRESIDENT BUSH: The representatives of the government of the state of Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization, represented respective by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and President Mahmoud Abbas in his capacity as Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee and President of the Palestinian Authority, have convened in Annapolis, Maryland, under the auspices of President George W. Bush of the United States of America, and with the support of the participants of this international conference, having concluded the following joint understanding.

We express our determination to bring an end to bloodshed, suffering and decades of conflict between our peoples; to usher in a new era of peace, based on freedom, security, justice, dignity, respect and mutual recognition; to propagate a culture of peace and nonviolence; to confront terrorism and incitement, whether committed by Palestinians or Israelis. In furtherance of the goal of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, we agree to immediately launch good-faith bilateral negotiations in order to conclude a peace treaty, resolving all outstanding issues, including all core issues without exception, as specified in previous agreements.

We agree to engage in vigorous, ongoing and continuous negotiations, and shall make every effort to conclude an agreement before the end of 2008. For this purpose, a steering committee, led jointly by the head of the delegation of each party, will meet continuously, as agreed. The steering committee will develop a joint work plan and establish and oversee the work of negotiations teams to address all issues, to be headed by one lead representative from each party. The first session of the steering committee will be held on 12 December 2007.

President Abbas and Prime Minister Olmert will continue to meet on a bi-weekly basis to follow up the negotiations in order to offer all necessary assistance for their advancement.

The parties also commit to immediately implement their respective obligations under the performance-based road map to a permanent two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, issued by the Quartet on 30 April 2003 -- this is called the road map -- and agree to form an American, Palestinian and Israeli mechanism, led by the United States, to follow up on the implementation of the road map.

The parties further commit to continue the implementation of the ongoing obligations of the road map until they reach a peace treaty. The United States will monitor and judge the fulfillment of the commitment of both sides of the road map. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, implementation of the future peace treaty will be subject to the implementation of the road map, as judged by the United States.
The book of Zechariah is a prophecy for this time and we need to pay attention: we are living in prophetic times.

Zechariah gives us all a call to repentance and he shows us the vision imagery of the Quartet that seeks to divide the land for peace and oppose God's covenant promise and he shows us the craftsmen that terrorize the Quartet.

God warns and calls us to escape if you who are living with the daughter of Babylon and He gives hope with the promise that many will become His people in that day. God promises ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts". God compares these who leave Babylon and walk in His ways are the two people groups, the olive trees that receive the light of His Spirit and stand for The Lord.

Zechariah is given a vision of the Koran and the Hadiths, they are the dark book, the scroll noted in chapter five. Many translations call it "flying" but the Hebrew also means dark. Its curses now over the earth as it swears falsely on YHVH's name calling Him by another name saying he has no son.

Zechariah also speaks of Mecca, the false temple in the land of Shinar.

Yet, the promise of Messiah the King is given and a promise to those who completely obey the LORD God is given that they will be honored to build the Temple but a grave warning is given to those whose stony hearts do not permit them to hear and do Torah and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets; therefore great wrath will come from the LORD of hosts.

God then makes a promise that He will one day return to Jerusalem and live there after He saves His people around the world from sunrise to sunset. It will come about that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a blessing. These are symbolically the two olive trees, Judah and Ephraim standing beside the word of God:
"In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, 'Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'" And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong."
But before that time prophecies are made against the lands and peoples that surround and border the Promised Land. God will use Judah and Ephraim and The LORD of hosts will defend them and the LORD their God will save them in that day as the flock of His people. God Will Bless Judah and Ephraim.

God promises:
“I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph, And I will bring them back, Because I have had compassion on them; And they will be as though I had not rejected them, For I am the LORD their God and I will answer them. “Ephraim will be like a mighty man, And their heart will be glad as if from wine; Indeed, their children will see it and be glad, Their heart will rejoice in the LORD. “I will whistle for them to gather them together" For I have redeemed them"
Jerusalem and the Jewish people that are now there will be attacked just has been promised by those that wish to wipe the Jewish people off the map. But...
"Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it."

"In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD before them. And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem."

"I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. In that day there will be great mourning in Jerusalem... "
"“It will come about in that day,” declares the LORD of hosts, “that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered; and I will also remove the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land."
The Muslim Imam's that recite the Qur'an as well as the 30 something Mosques in the Old City of Jerusalem in which it is taught will learn just who YHVH is and they will no longer teach in the Al Aqsa mosque, the Marwani Mosque, the Mosque of Al-Khanqah, the Mosque of Omar, the al-Buraq Mosque, the Abdeen Mosque, the Al-Khanqah al-Salahiyya Mosque, Badr al-Did Lulu Mosque, Alshurbaji Mosque, Darghat Mosque, Zawiyat Elafgnieh Mosque, Alzawiya Alnakshabndieh Mosque and all the others including the Dome of the Rock.
"And if anyone still prophesies, then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, for you have spoken falsely in the name of the LORD’"
God Will Battle Jerusalem’s enemies.
"Behold, a day is coming for the LORD when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.

Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.

You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!"
Yeshua will be King... the land of Abraham.
"And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one."
The plague of God will return as it was in the Exodus. People that are not set apart and redeemed will melt as Canaanites before the Lord while approaching near His glory.
"Now this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. It will come about in that day that a great panic from the LORD will fall on them; and they will seize one another’s hand, and the hand of one will be lifted against the hand of another."
Even the Fasts honored today by the Jewish people are noted by Zechariah. They are the Fasts of Tammuz, the 9th of Av, Gedaliah and the 5th of Tevet:
"Thus says the LORD of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace. "
Most importantly the Fall Feast of Tabernacles will be re-established in Jerusalem as it was ordained before so pay attention the Torah is truth, still valid for us today as not one jot or tittle has passed. It was never hung on the cross:
"Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths."

Thanks for all the research that you did to make this post a good post. Thanks for the updates to this post as well.

I for one beleive that we are the last generation and we will see the Messiah. I had my head in the sand for many years but Yahweh changed that.

Now I am preparing my family and all that I can get to listen that we are in the last days. No rapture for me I am sticking around to fight for and with my Abba. I don't want the easy path just the narrow one that leads to righteousness.
