The Order of Daniel

A couple of years ago I shared some thoughts with a big time proponent of the so-called "EU beast" revived Roman Empire one world order theory. 

The reason he has sold millions of books are that he insists "the church" will escape hellbent chaos and that Christians in the end fly away and hide but not as warriors against principalities and powers under the devil's schemes according to Paul's advice in Romans 8:36; Ephesians 3:10 and Ephesians 6:10-17. Paul writes:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."

Not only that, despite 9/11, the famous book seller still insists the Roman Empire will be revived and that "the church" will escape its global chaos on a rapture cloud.

If we read and believe the Bible, the EU beast confusion is one of several story lines that miss the mark on the geography of the Bible including the words embedded in the book of Daniel. 

One problem is that modern prophecy teachers much like the book seller have proposed their theories based on a premise that the vortex of the Bible shifted west and they lean on the dividing wall of replacement theology, but the map and God's gospel plan to remove evil on earth remains the same. 

The Jerusalem reality is those that want to destroy the Jewish people still surround Israel, with idol worship boots still on the ground led by dark dominion from principalities and powers just as they have for thousands of years before the exile ended in 1948.

Almighty God's eyes remain focused on Jerusalem and those that oppose Israel and the God of Israel are still on the scene. 

There is no goal here to sell a book or make money. 

There's no need to convince anyone of anything outside the Scriptures, so I do know it's important to provide some basic information to people that are seeking truth from the Bible that hold hope for the Messiah, the Kingdom of God promise and the Promised Land with an eye on history and how it shapes what's next for the final redemption. 

After all Jesus is making a come back to Jerusalem.

Following the rebirth of Israel as a nation-state in 1948, the restoration return of the Jewish people promised by the prophets began. 

During the 1948-1956 timeframe, systematic excavation of multiple caves at Qumran on the cliffs of the Dead Sea, by archaeologists discovered scroll fragments from the book of Daniel and that discovery wiped out so-called scholarly theories about the book of Daniel.

Scholars from the 18th-19th centuries onward argued that Daniel was written much later than tradition claimed — specifically during the Maccabean period (2nd century B.C., around 165 B.C.) rather than in the 6th century B.C. timeframe during the Babylonian exile. Their reasoning was the timelines in the "prophecies" were too historically accurate.

Not long ago, Jerusalem shifted toward its journey of restoration in 1967. Because of those facts, many common sense Bible believers now realize that the geography and people chosen to reveal the Bible to the planet were never forgotten by the Almighty God of Israel. 

Knowledge is increasing, the Promised Land and its people were never replaced.

Like the covenant of the Ten Commandments, God's promises are set in stone and like Jerusalem, prophecy has not moved one inch toward Rome.

After terror hit America, the land of the free on 9/11, I woke up to these facts and I'm not the only one. 

There's been a spiritual wake up call sounding like a shofar since 1967. 

The sound has gone across the globe, but most have missed it, yet it opened hearts to a remnant that heard the call of Almighty God's Spirit to turn back to the unchanging voice of promise written in the Bible. 

Many are now tossing aside book selling end-time theories and are taking a look at the truth in the Bible. At the same time they are drawn to love Israel and support and pray for the Jewish people as friends and whether they can explain it or not they are turning back the the Sabbath and the Feasts of the LORD. 

Not only that, post 9/11, many eyes and ears have been opened to the words revealed by Ishmael's wild donkey man declaration in Genesis 16:12:

"He shall be a wild donkey of a man,
his hand against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”  

The big 9/11 moment for me about that happened the day that the terror from the skies cast a light on the Allahu Akbar screams I heard replayed over and over from the madmen militant jihadist terrorists of the Middle East. 

Those shouts of terror screamed Allah is greater, revealing the rebellion of the dragon behind the scenes with a name that changes in deception over time. 

Yet, those radical donkey-like wild men are not only against their Abraham kinsmen, they are led by pure evil in an ancient rebellion against the God of Israel that began in the unseen world. Their hatred, death chants and evil is fueled by something much more than the teachings of the Imams on the Qur'an and the Hadiths that outline the principles of hatred against Israel and America. 

When we take a second look with that knowledge, Daniel's prophecies reveal there is much more to reality and its beyond what we can see, touch or feel. 

What we can't see is a big part of the Bible. 

It's about the ancient conflict of good vs. evil and the Bible reveals how it will be resolved in the end.

Moses set the prophetic stage, he came down from the mountain twice with the Ten Commandment covenant. In the very same way, the salvation plan of Almighty God to return the planet back into the Eden He intended from the beginning reveals the mystery, there are two trips to the planet for Messiah.

The Bible believing world, Christian and Jew await the same Messiah, whether they agree if it's the first or second trip. 

Thankfully, the book of Daniel remains and it reveals visions given to Daniel while he was in exile in Babylon and then Persia.

Those visions were downloads from Heaven and they are for us. Biblical times are not old or done away with. 

Before we get to those downloads, let's track the order of Daniel and start with some details about Nebuchadnezzar's dream that Daniel interpreted with God's help. That dream would unfold over thousands of years. It's about empires, the nations on earth that would invade and rule over the land of Israel, but it's also about the principalities that Paul wrote about. 

Paul as a Jew just like Daniel and he writes about spiritual principalities and the armor of God is Ephesians 6, particularly verses 10-18. In this passage, Paul discusses unseen spiritual warfare. He emphasizes that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" Ephesians 6:12. 

Paul goes on to give a description of holding to the image of God we were intended to do since creation.

Here's how he describes it, he called it the "Armor of God" as he describes six pieces of spiritual armor that we must put on and they all describe the character image of our Creator:

Belt of Truth

Breastplate of Righteousness

Feet fitted with the gospel of Peace

Shield of Faith

Helmet of Salvation

Sword of the Spirit, aka the Word of God

Next, Paul also mentions prayer and vigilance as essential components of spiritual protection.

Prayer and vigilance describe Daniel.

Let's look at the king's dream that included another image, a head of gold, a silver chest, a bronze waist, iron legs and feet mixed with iron and mired clay:

“You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. 

This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 

Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”

Most Bible scholars say they generally agree on just who these parts were except for the last, the feet mixed of iron and clay. Even the two legs make historical sense, after all the Roman Empire eventually became two, the West leg based in Rome and the East leg in Constantinople. Rome fell, but the Eastern Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire continued for another thousand years, lasting until 1453 A.D. when Constantinople fell to the Ottoman Turks.

Yet' there's rarely an answer for the feet. The interpretation from the book of Daniel is:

“This was the dream; now we will tell its interpretation before the king. You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength and the glory; and wherever the sons of men dwell, or the beasts of the field, or the birds of the sky, He has given them into your hand and has caused you to rule over them all.

You are the head of gold. After you there will arise another kingdom inferior to you, then another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth. Then there will be a fourth kingdom as strong as iron; inasmuch as iron crushes and shatters all things, so, like iron that breaks in pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces. 

In that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have in it the toughness of iron, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with common clay. As the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle. 

And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery.

In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever. 

Inasmuch as you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will take place in the future; so the dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy.”

I'm no Bible scholar but if you ask me, post 9/11 knowledge has increased and the likely interpretation is:

Head of Gold = Babylon

Chest of Silver = Persian

Waist of Bronze = Greece

Legs of Iron = Rome

Feet of Iron and Clay with the seed of men = the mix of Islam Sunni and Shia

Here's the thing, the Ottoman Empire controlled the land of modern Israel from about 1516–1517 until World War I broke out and British forces occupied the Promised Land in 1917 and they sailed away in 1948.

But there's more, about the dreams or visions given to Daniel. It's about the unseen beasts that were sealed or hidden in the abyss until the time was right to reveal the backstory of why the nations need redemption from Babylon the great. They are mentioned in the book of Jude.

Jude mentions the abyss in verse 6. In this verse, Jude writes about angels who sinned and abandoned  their proper dwelling, stating that Almighty God has kept them in darkness, "bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day." 

Back in Daniel's day, Babylon's backstory began with Nebuchadnezzar's metaphysical dream. 

After fervent prayer, Daniel received the interpretation. As the bigger picture unfolds through his writings, some remarkable and critical timelines are given like that in Daniel 9. 

While hotly debated, the arguments and the calendar don't really matter in the end.

Daniel was told when and where the Messiah would first arrive.

He was told that Almighty God will bring His anointed, the Messiah to finish off transgression, put an end to sin, and to atone for the iniquity of mankind at ground zero, Jerusalem to bring in everlasting righteousness to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. 

That chapter in includes a mystery. 

It's the second trip.

To destroy evil, both seen and unseen to revive and restore mankind back to living in God's glory image as it was intended from the beginning and it will take a sword to do so. That's why Jesus said this in Matthew 10:34:

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword."

More on that later.

For now let's take a look and study Nebuchadnezzar dream. 

In Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar is told his dream is about a great statue, and last but not least the feet of the statue are described and iron and clay, a divided kingdom. Those don't mix and that's VERY significant today. 

The dream statue started with Babylon, the head of gold was Daniel's time frame, next is was about the other "gentile" nations of silver, bronze and iron that would arrive to control the world at the time and finally those two latter day feet made partly of iron and clay that now trample the Temple Mount and stake their claim in Jerusalem while oppressing the Jewish people, but there's more. 

Daniel is given the headline news in advance about the latter days. 

That news is the fact that those feet don't quite mix, but they both walk in violence. We know becuase they will meet their end end with a stone "not cut by human hands" that will destroy those that seek to destroy Israel. 

Check out the composition of the statue, it's a timeline of empires portrayed as gold, silver, bronze, iron and mixed clay and iron. Over time, it shows how each nation against Israel infused with unseen evil degrades over time and in the end all empires that oppose Almighty God's glory plan to restore His Kingdom on earth as it was in Eden are blown away.

Yet, the stone remains and becomes a mountain.

That stone signals a mystery, that the good Kingdom established by God on earth will never be overcome by evil. 

Another big key to understanding the book of Daniel is to realize that we all need to not only study the Word of God but we must pray like Daniel did if we are to see the big gospel picture. 

To pray with discernment, we have to study to show ourselves approved. 

We can't just read the Bible in part and parcel or extract verse snippets without context. We have to look at the big picture context and know that what's written in the Hebrew Bible is a work of art from our Creator.

That Bible is the same Bible Jesus read and taught for a God reason and that Bible includes the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings noted by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:17.

The prophets are important. Almighty God has revealed what He wants us to know through them. The prophet Amos declares that the LORD, the God of hosts has revealed everything to the Prophets including a hint at the reality of fallen dark powers with geographic strongholds that oppress people who do not know right from wrong and manifest violence: 

“For the Lord GOD does nothing

without revealing his secret

to his servants the prophets.

The lion has roared;

who will not fear?

The Lord GOD has spoken;

who can but prophesy?”

Proclaim to the strongholds in Ashdod

and to the strongholds in the land of Egypt,

and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria,

and see the great tumults within her,

and the oppressed in her midst.”

“They do not know how to do right,” declares the LORD, “those who store up violence and robbery in their strongholds.” Amos 7-10

Ashdod was one of the five major stronghold cities of the Philistines. It still bears the same name and it's mentioned in the Biblical context above due to the capture of the Ark of the Covenant by the Philistines, who brought it to Ashdod (1 Samuel 5) as well as various military conflicts between the Israelites and Philistines.

Egypt is better known, but what's often missed in the Exodus story is what's behind the ten plagues. The reason for the plagues in the Exodus story is that they were specifically targeted judgments against the Egyptian gods. It started with Hapi, the god of the Nile. Others included Heqet, Khepri, Hathor, Nut, Ra and Apis the Egyptian bull god. The golden calf incident in Exodus 32 was a carry over Egyptian religious belief.

The plagues were NOT just just general catastrophes.

Many people miss what's behind the plagues thinking they were simply miraculous disasters that forced Pharaoh to release the Israelites, but each plague had a purpose directly defeating specific Egyptian deities of darkness in their own backyard by the Almighty God of Israel.  

Did you know that back in Daniel's day that Nebuchadnezzar openly declared his devotion to a god named Marduk?

That Marduk fact can be found in stone and it's embedded in tons of surviving Babylonian inscriptions. 

Nebuchadnezzar called himself "the favorite of the god Marduk," prayed to him as "my lord," and begged for divine favor, lwe can still see it in the East India House Inscription: "Create in my heart, the worship of your divinity."

Nebuchadnezzar built or decked out Marduk's temples—like Esagil and the Etemenanki ziggurat which is thought to be the "Tower of Babel." He decorated with gold, gems, and the worship steles reveal he gave Marduk constant praise. One has him saying he "repeatedly praised aloud the ingenious accomplishments of the god Marduk, the great lord, the god who created me."

Marduk is a fraud.

No single "worship stele" just says "I worship Marduk" in big letters, but his royal records of clay cylinders, bricks, even an agate eyestone calling himself Marduk's "pious prince." Bottom line, Nebuchadnezzar wasn't shy about declaring Marduk as his god.

So, rethink the what Daniel told Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah when he told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning "the mystery" before he deciphered king Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

It's important to know that the king's magicians, enchanters, the sorcerers and the Chaldean astrologers, the so-called wise men of Babylon could not just interpret the dream, they had not clue what it was, but what is often missed is that Daniel gave the Chaldeans a chance to repent from sorcery because he saved them (Daniel 2:24) after the decree was given to Daniel and his companions, to kill them.

The book of Daniel gives us a clue to the ancient steles that remain, it's a Marduk mystery that was revealed to Daniel in a vision many miss about the statue dream that deeply troubled the king of Babylon when Daniel told this to his companions:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,

to whom belong wisdom and might.

He changes times and seasons;

he removes kings and sets up kings;

he gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to those who have understanding;

he reveals deep and hidden things;

he knows what is in the darkness,

and the light dwells with him.

To you, O God of my fathers,

I give thanks and praise,

for you have given me wisdom and might,

and have now made known to me what we asked of you,

for you have made known to us the king’s matter.” Daniel 2:20-23

Almighty God revealed that the king's dream was about the statue of a giant: "The head of this image was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its middle and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay."

As already noted, the most common interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s “mystery dream” found in Daniel 2 is that the statue’s successive materials only represent successive world empires culminating in almighty God’s eternal kingdom. 

The traditional outline is not a mystery in history, but the latter days feet can not be forgotten:

• Head of gold — Babylonian Empire worshiping Marduk
• Chest and arms of silver — Medo‑Persian Empire worshiping Ahura Mazda
• Belly and thighs of bronze — Greek Empire worshipping Zeus
• Legs of iron — Roman Empire worshiping Jupiter
• Ten toes of iron mixed with clay worshipping Allah 

The dream ends as a stone “not cut by human hands” breaks the final divided kingdom, a religious wild beast of the end of days. The message is the kingdoms of men and fallen gods don't last and that stone from Heaven becomes a mountain in the coming judgment. 

The gospel of Daniel 2 is that in the end Almighty God’s Kingdom is everlasting. Messianic rule wipes out earthly empires and the deceptive evil empire behind the scenes that led everyone astray since the days of Eden.

The mystery we need to know is the nations noted all worshipped a fallen god, only the names were changed, so we need to come to the realization that earthly empires aren't the full interpretation of the dream's domain, there's more whether you see it or not. 

Did you know Nebuchadnezzar considered himself an incarnation of Marduk's authority on earth and that's why he ruled with tyranny, paranoia, executions and fear? 

It's also important to know that Nebuchadnezzar turned his cosmic dream with the head of gold into reality. After the dream, king Nebuchadnezzar made a giant, an image of gold, a ststue whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. Daniel 3 tells us he set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon and he demanded everyone bow down and worship or be tossed into a burning fiery furnace.

Hang on a second, did you see the sixty and six cubits clue?

It should remind you of something. So, consider Revelation 13:18 — “This calls for wisdom: let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.”

Think about that because there's a connection you may have not thought of, the beast is not a man.

Reread Daniel 2:31-45, Revelation 20:7–10 and Isaiah 14:11 check out Jeremiah 50:2:

"Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say, 'Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.'" Jeremiah 50:2 NIV

Marduk worship horrifically influenced the nations noted in the Bible including the Hittites. 

They were a powerful ancient terror group that occupied parts of modern-day Turkey as well as Syria which later became the home of the Ottoman Turks. 

During the righteous conquest of Canaan led by Joshua to toss out evil, the Hittites that worshipped Marduk were a chief adversary of Israel just like the terrorist jihadist radicals that scream Allah Akbar and seek to wipe Israel off the map these days. 

Most people know that the Romans controlled the Bible's geography in John's day, some know they worshipped Jupiter and just like the Hittites, the Romans were Israel's adversaries seeking to wipe anyone off the map that held faith in Almighty God.

Marduk's name simply morphed in babel from Akkadian to Greek to Latin as rebranded Roman and Greek gods that embody what Paul warned people about: kingship, power, and control over the the soul and the nations. 

We need to remember too that Daniel 4 describes Nebuchadnezzar's second dream and not ignore what's described that hints of the opposite of the other watchers mentioned book of Enoch that rebelled:

“I saw in the visions of my head as I lay in bed, and behold a watcher, a holy one, came down from heaven."

Daniel interpreted that dream too and gave the Godly advice we see in Revelation... repent!!

The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.' ... Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity." Daniel 4:17; 27  

Daniel, like other prophets and John in the book of Revelation reveal the mystery of Babylon the great and that is not just symbolic, the wicked evil empire described across Revelation chapters 14, 17–18 is filled with terror from people infused with the evil behind the curtain that are drunk with the blood of the saints and martyrs noted in Revelation 17. 

They are insane, intoxicated with dark power. Yet, Revelation 17 is not the origin of the great prostitute or those drunks. The message is a Babylonian repeat from Jeremiah 51:7:

Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the LORD,

Intoxicating all the earth.

The nations have drunk of her wine;

Therefore the nations are going insane.

The problem for the prostitute of idolatry called Babylon is Almighty God’s wrath of fire that's described in Revelation 18:8. Yet, again Revelation is not the first warning of the wrath of fire, it's a repeat that will burn down to the realm of the dead below in the abyss:

Deuteronomy 32:22 — Moses describes God's wrath: "A fire has been kindled by my wrath, one that burns down to the realm of the dead below."

Psalm 89:46 — "How long, Lord? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your wrath burn like fire?"

Nahum 1:6 — "Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire."

On earth as it is in heaven, ancient Babylon described in the book of Daniel is a repeat, it's named first in Genesis 10 where it's portrayed as a great city, the headquarters of dark rebellion against Almighty God. 

Genesis 6:1-4 describes something very sinister that's ignored that happened there. It's the corrupt infection of humanity from cosmic rebellion and the result was the flood of destruction. Genesis 11 zeros in on another crime in Babylon and its connected to Revelation 17 that describes Babylon as "the great prostitute" who remains corrupt and continues to engage in idolatry. 

The imagery of Babylon the great in Revelation serves as a link to what's real in the unseen is revealed as deceiving the nations in opposition to Almighty God. The fifth seal in Revelation 9:11 gives us a look at that first woe reality of who leads people astray: "his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon."

Revelation is not the origin of that destroyer's name אֲבַדּוֹן and it shows up in Job 26:6 and in Proverbs 15:11.

In the Bible, names are important, several are noted in Jeremiah in his warnings before the Babylonian exile. Jeremiah 50:2 notes that Marduk worship is idol worship. Its satanic harlotry and will she will meet her end,

Although the name has changed again, the shouts of terror today scream a name and its not from Heaven, the Arabic words are "Allahu akbar" and that reveals the dragon of Babylon.

We need to know Daniel read and studied the promise of Jeremiah. He's the prophet that not only revealed a 70 year exile timestamp in Babylon but also described the fall of Babylon by the Persians. Daniel believed it and when he prayed about what he read, he realized that 70 years was a given. 

Daniel knew the promise from reading Jeremiah that the Babylonian exile would end and he knew those from the north (Persia) would come to attack and destroy Babylon setting off the return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem.

Do you know the job description of a prophet? 

They don't make predictions, they repeat what the sovereign LORD God of Israel tells them directly or though a messenger (angel). The prophets are like a court reporter, and nothing is ever striken from the record.

Daniel studied God's voice recorded by his peer we know as Jeremiah the prophet. He was readin Jeremiah 25:11-12 hat revealed the 70 years of exile plain as day:

"This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt," declares the Lord, "and will make it desolate forever." (NIV)

We need to be like Daniel and study too because the words of the Bible and its prophets offer gifts of insight from Almighty God about the times and the seasons that are given to unlock the mysteries of redemption and restoration that are not found in New York Times best sellers.  

I think Daniel knew and believed the words from Amos 3:7 too, it was written some 200 years before Daniel's deportation in exile to Babylon as a young man:

"For the Lord GOD does nothing

without revealing his secret

to his servants the prophets."

So, a big part of reading and studying the book of Daniel is an assignment to connect the jots and tittles of the big Bible picture and believe it. 

We must be like those in Berea. Unlike those in those in Thessalonica, the Bereans studied the whole of the Scriptures for truth. We need to do that and look at history and the Bible in proper contest if we are the understand the order of Daniel. 

Daniel was praying and studying Jeremiah's scroll when he read about the sevens, the Shemittah years and the Bible light bulb lit up for him. He saw a prophetic link to the seventy year exile from the young man by the name of Jeremiah that he may have known back in Judea, after all he had his scroll. 

Who knows, perhaps Jeremiah gave him a copy before Daniel was exiled to Babylon.

The 70 year exile was real-time for Daniel, today it is a historic fact. 

Daniel connected God's promise with his own exile in Babylon. Oddly, Jeremiah did not make the trip to Babylon. The Babylonians let him stay at home in Judea, perhaps because they admired how he had warned everyone they were coming. 

Almighty God sent messengers from Heaven to give Daniel revelation about his dream visions because The LORD of Israel loves those that seek truth to understand His latter day gospel plan for the redemption of Israel and the nations of mankind. 

Daniel believed God's end goal for the Kingdom and Jerusalem's restoration. 

Daniel also knew the original message of the deceiver. Daniel understood we can't fall for the lie that Almighty God ever changes His mind. 

The book of Daniel is full of timelines. Everything is connected including the 1290, 1260 and 1,335 day timelines given to Daniel.

Daniel was in Jerusalem when the Babylonian sword of destruction arrived. He knew trouble and tribulation in Babylon too. There he spent time in the lion's den because he prayed when prayer was outlawed. 

The western media seeks to sanitize truth, so much so, few realize we have just seen the greatest persecution in history that has occurred so far.
It's time to fast forward from Babylon to Hitler's Holocaust aka Jacob's trouble. It was an unimaginable time of tribulation and horror we know we are in the latter days because it literally just happened during World War II.

The Holocaust and its tribulation of death was even greater than Nebuchadnezzar's attack or Titus' destruction on Jerusalem and the Jewish people. 

The World War tribulation was indeed great. 

Some 70 short years ago, six million Jewish people were marked, imprisoned and murdered, while 75-80 million other people among the nations fought and died in war as over 60 million gentiles killed each other.

Yet, Almighty God told Abraham He would bless the nations and He will.

Millions upon millions of people were killed all from Hitler's "little horn" Mein Kampt nightmare dream of absolute evil that was poured out across Europe and beyond. Hitler's hatred spilled over in Japan's alliance of evil with Germany as they attacked the United States at Pearl Harbor.

The question we need to ask is, behind the scenes what drove Führer Hitler, Emperor Hirohito and Prime Minister Hideki Tojo?

The dragon and his minions.

Many forget the fact that over 60 million non-Jews among the nations died during the savage battles of World War II across the globe. 

Everyone was affected. 

Three of my uncles fought in that World War and one was severely injured at the Battle of the Bulge. It took him years to recover from his head injuries.

Not, only that, just 30 years before World War II, an estimated 59 million people died during World War I. 

That's well more than 100,000,000 dead souls in two World Wars with just a generation of separation!!!

Gee.. talk about great tribulation!!

There's more... few people seem to remember that during World War I, the Ottoman Turks tried to obliterate the Christians of Armenia. The Ottoman Turks undertook the systematic killing and deportation of Christian Armenians in 1915. The Ottoman Sultans, the leaders of that evil empire set in motion their plan to massacre over over one million Christian Armenians during World War I. 

Why did they do that, what drove their madness behind the curtain? 

The dragon and his minions.

To begin to understand the evil behind the Ottoman scene, you need to know the facts. Armenia was the first nation on the planet to adopt "Christianity" as their official way of life. 

They did that sometime around 314AD under King Trdat III (Tiridates).

Today, evil is still emanating from the same place Daniel wrote his last chapters in Persia (Iran) and there is a link to Jerusalem, so for Heaven's sake --- wake up!! 

The seemingly random chaos of today's vicious terror is from extreme Islam as religious radicals fly planes into buildings, shoot, stab or blow people up, even beheading them as they seek to restore their Caliphate to destroy Israel and then control the planet with fear and the dark manifestation of Sharia law. 

Religious beast terror morphs out of the abyss and the dragon with words of the Suras and the Hadiths as demonic infested madmen are brainwashed by radical Sunni Imams and Shia Mullahs. They all claim a prophet of the Koran is the prophet and they cast a dark shadow not only on Mecca and Medina, but Tehran. 

The Jewish people on the other hand, shed light on the world from Jerusalem with the Bible.

That Bible was written by Jewish men and it shows us Almighty God's high beam focus on Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, the most contested 35 acres of real estate on planet earth. 

The real reason is that it is the set apart place of the Almighty God of Israel and the unseen forces of evil still oppose God's chosen earthly domain and His gospel plan of redemption and restoration of the planet. 

There's a reason Almighty God chose it to put His name on one place on the earth He created and it's the place that He will destroy evil in the end to establish His everlasting Kingdom on earth as it was in Eden and is in Heaven. 

That isn't just a Jewish understanding. 

Gentile kings by the names of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes around Daniel's time understood and they mark Daniels countdown to Messiah's first trip. 

If we are to ever unseal the book Daniel with knowledge and understanding in the latter days of evil's last claim of dominion over the planet we must read what leaders from the nations called Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes accomplished for the Jewish people from the record of Ezra and Nehemiah. 

Both Ezra and Nehemiah served in Artaxerxes Persian court. Not only that, you have to remember Ezra was a Torah teacher and Nehemiah was the cupbearer to the king. Both men were appointed by Artaxerxes and the Persian king sent them to Jerusalem to restore it. 

In this commentary will take a look at the order of Daniel including some of the timelines.

Daniel was given a countdown to Messiah the Prince that as already mentioned many people dispute. You can find it in Daniel 9:25 and in the decrees of two gentiles. Cyrus and Artaxerxes are tied to the timeline. 

"So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress."

That time distress is connected to the Roman Empire. In 63 BC, Pompey the Great captured Jerusalem. A few years later, their puppet Herod began to restore and expand the Temple ca. 20 BC although the work was not completed until c. 63 AD after he had died. 

A copy of Artaxerxes decree is recorded for everyone to see in Ezra 7.

Daniel's prophecy is ofetn called a “Prophecy of 70 Weeks of Years” but is there more to it?

It's important to know, Daniel was given the prophecy by Gabriel who was sent as a messenger, Daniel did not come up with it and Gabriel is the same messenger that delivered the good news to Mary about a son. 

That connection that should open your eyes.

The 70 week prophecy comes from the 7 year Shemittah week fact that Daniel was told that certain events will occur over a period of Shemittah weeks of years aka 483 years before Messiah's first trip arrival before the destruction of the Temple.

Everyone should know, whether Jew of Gentile, the destruction prophecy came true in 70AD, forty years after Yeshua of Nazareth taught Torah every Sabbath as was His custom and proclaimed repent for the Kingdom is near.  

Many ask, where's the 70th week? 

Well, consider this: what si the timeline Almighty God ordained for the Feast of Unleavened Bread after the Passover?

A week.

How do we know? 

Leviticus 23:4-8  tells us...

 "These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is the LORD's Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work.But you shall present a food offering to the LORD for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work."

Is that the week of Messiah?

The countdown given to Daniel is that the Messiah would come before the end of 483 years, aka 69 Shemittah weeks before the Temple's destruction and the 69 week countdown would begin with “the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem” as written in Daniel 9:25. 

The buildup to the king's decree for the city started circa 538 BC. That's when Cyrus decreed that Judah must return, take back the holy vessels of the Temple services and rebuild the Temple just as Cyrus ordered. That's recorded in Ezra 1:1-3. 

Is the Unleavened bread week the 70th week of Daniel?

This we do know, the Bible is 100% reliable, and Cyrus has a track record outside the Bible written in stone for the Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem. It's called the Cyrus cylinder and it's in the British Museum today. 

Almighty God preserved it for thousands of years for a God reason.

There was another decree issued 11 years after Cyrus that was given by Artaxerxes I in 457 BC. 

Artaxerxes's decree included two permissions, one to restart the Temple services and two to teach Torah. That fact is noted in Ezra 7: 11-26. 

Later in 445 BC, Artaxerxes issued another decree for Nehemiah to rebuild the city of Jerusalem and its walls. That's described in Nehemiah 2:1-8 some 23 years after Cyrus gave the OK to Zerubbabel for the Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem.

Let's do some math, it was 483 years after Artaxerxes decree that in effect allowed Torah teaching that Yeshua began ministering and teaching in the Galilee just like Daniel’s timeline had revealed as the season of Messiah's first trip. 

At the end of that earthly ministry there was a very big week, the seven (7) day week of unleavened bread that followed the Roman crucifixion on the cross. 

All of this ties back to Daniel 9:25–26:

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary..."

In the very next verse, Daniel 9:27 introduces the final week, the 70th week which completes the overarching "Seventy Weeks of Daniel" prophecy. Scholars debate it constantly saying a week of years is missing, but is it?

If you ask me the timeline of the Daniel 9:25–27 should be called the "Fullness of Time of Daniel" as it was likely what Paul wrote about in Galatians 4:4-7.

You may have not thought about that fullness of time if you've read that letter before, but here's what Paul wrote:

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

The fact is Yeshua the lamb of God, the sinless, unleavened one was falsely tried, beaten and hung by nails on a wooden cross like a sacrificial lamb. Next, on the 3rd day, the Day of First Fruits, Yeshua revealed the big mystery hidden for the ages, Yeshua resurrected to new life in the power of Almighty God. 

If you need physical proof, you may want to take a look at the Shroud of Turin whether it remains shrouded in dispute or not.

Speaking of dispute, the Bible references a dispute between haSatan and Almighty God in the Book of Job and in the Newer Testament. 

In Job 1:6-12, what we can't see is seen as haSatan appears before Almighty God to discuss Job, a faithful servant of God. Almighty God highlights Job's faithfulness, and haSatan disputes this by saying that Job is only faithful because he has been blessed and protected. The second dispute is seen in Job 2:1-6 and Revelation 12:10 describes haSatan as the accuser of the brethren, reflecting his unseen evil role in opposing God's people.

Mirroring Job's story, there's an account of the dispute between haSatan and Yeshua in the wilderness found in the accounts of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This event occurs after Yeshua's baptism and serves as a major moment in His ministry and history. After the Jordan River mikveh baptism, Yeshua retreats into the wilderness for 40 days and nights of fasting. This time prepares Him for His public ministry. It is during this period that haSatan confronts Him with three temptations.

HaSatan's first proposition: He urges Jesus to use His divine power to turn stones to bread ti satisfy His hunger after fasting. Yeshua replies, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." This emphasizes reliance on God giving life giving nourishment over physical sustenance.

HaSatan's next proposition challenges Yeshua to jump off a high point of the Temple, citing Scripture that angels would protect Him. Yeshua's response counters with, "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test." This highlights just who Yeshua is.

Finally, haSatan addresses the fact that Eden's fall gave dominion away that was granted to Adam and Eve over the planet. HaSatan's fake authority to do so is a scheme to serve under of the devil. He offers Yeshua to rule all the kingdoms over the world. Yeshua firmly states, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve." This reinforces something about all good and all evil, whether seen or unseen all creation must have exclusive devotion to Almighty God's authority.

Fast forward back to Unleavened bread week after the cross, it looks to be the week that was "decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks." 

Sixty two plus seven equals 69 and 69 times 7 Shemittah years equals 483, yet in the mystery revealed to Daniel remains in the 70th week.

There's no thus says the LORD here, but that in my current understanding of the so called mystery missing week is the week that followed Yeshua's Passover death. That means the week of Unleavened Bread could be the missing 70th week that was hidden for a reason. Had the devil and his minions understood that week would include resurrection, they would have never incited the crowds to call for his death at the hands of the Romans.

This we do known Daniel was told knowledge will increase, so there may be more to uncover and I don't think the promise that knowledge will increase is tied to medical or scientific advances or information technology in the computer age. 

I think it's tied to wisdom revealed from Torah and the Prophets and in the end the Jewish people calling out for Yeshua.

Back to the timeline, perhaps there's another mystery level of understanding 70 weeks that includes not only weeks of years, but actual weeks. Could it that Yeshua's first trip Messiah ministry as the "suffering servant" of Isaiah lasted 70 weeks, not the 3 and 1/2 years so many think? 

The passages concerning the "suffering servant" are found primarily in the book of Isaiah's group of poetic sections known as the "Servant Songs." The most detailed and famous of these describes the servant's sacrificial suffering. It is found in Isaiah 52:13–53:12. 

This portion of the scroll is often simply referred to as Isaiah 53.

The concept of the "Servant of the LORD" is developed across four main passages, each building on the Servant's identity and mission. The last of these is the one that most distinctly emphasizes the Suffering Servant's role and redemptive death. The First Song is Isaiah 42:1–9. It's the Servant's call and mission to bring justice to the nations with gentleness. 

Thw Second Song is Isaiah 49:1–6. It's the Servant's disappointment and vindication, feeling his labor in disappointment with the Sadducees and Pharisees' religious rules, but being made a "light for the Gentiles. The Third Song is Isaiah 50:4–11. The Servant's obedience and persecution, willingly enduring abuse and shame, trusting in Almighty God. The Fourth Song, the most famous is Isaiah 52:13–53:12. It describes the Servant's sacrifice and exaltation, suffering for the sins of others, bearing their iniquities, and being highly exalted. 

Could it too that Yeshua's first trip Messiah ministry and persecution as the suffering servant of Isaiah lasted 70 weeks? If so, that's labout 1 & 1/2 years, and not even close to the 3 &1/2 first proposed by Eusebius who lived in Caesarea during the 4th century.

Eusebius is often referred to as the "Father of Church History," but was he?

That's may be worth another study on Eusebius and what version manuscript of John 6:4 that he had, but let's move on since several manuscripts have been found omit this: 

"Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.." 

That omission does away the Eusebius time line. The manuscripts most frequently cited by scholars and researchers as omitting or questioning the Passover time stamp verse "ἦν δὲ ἐγγὺς τὸ πάσχα, ἡ ἑορτὴ τῶν Ἰουδαίων" include:

Minuscule 1634: A 14th-century manuscript from the Great Lavra Monastery on Mount Athos. It is often cited as the primary manuscript where John 6:4 is entirely absent from the text.

Minuscule 472: An 11th-12th century manuscript (Lambeth Palace MS 1177) where the verse is sometimes described as being marked with an asterisk or obelus, or missing in a way that suggests the scribe considered it suspect. Other late Minuscules: Some researchers have identified a small group of other late manuscripts (dating from the 11th to 15th centuries) where the verse is either omitted, moved to the margin, or marked with symbols of doubt. These include Minuscules 163, 178, 187, 748, 850, 979, 2525, and 2206.

The debate over this exists primarily because several early church leaders—including Clement of Alexandria, Origen, and Irenaeus. They all wrote that Yeshua's ministry lasted about one year. Clement of Alexandria's Stromata, I, 21, 145 says this:

"And Jesus was coming to His baptism, being about thirty years old,” and so on. And that it was necessary for Him to preach only a year, this also is written: “He hath sent Me to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” This both the prophet spake, and the Gospel."

This we do know, Daniel's timeline declares the transgression of sin will be put to an end, atonement for our iniquity will be accomplished to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal the visions of the prophets, and to anoint the most holy place.

To reconsider the timeline of 70 actual weeks, perhaps the time line from the Jordan River mikveh baptism in the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar was 70 weeks to the outpouring of the wind and fire Spirit at Shavuot seven weeks after the first Sabbath following the Passover cross. 

Here's the thing, one day we will know, knowledge will increase.

Today, due to the dramatic rise of information technology and the data stored in computers, many say the words in the book of Daniel that say "knowledge will increase" is about information technology or advancements in science, physics and so on, but are the prophetic words limited to that? 

I could be wrong, but don't think so, if you ask me that theory could be a part of it but it unwittingly extracts the context out of the heavenly message.

What is the Biblical context? 

We first find knowledge in Genesis 2:16-17:

 "The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Job said something too:

“I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. Job 36:3

In fact the book of Job mentions "knowledge" more the any other book in the Bible. It's there at least 13 times. Think about that and Job's story.

Knowledge is the Hebrew word דּעת daʿaṯ and according to Strongs Lexicon it means perception, discernment and understanding, but of what? 

The story of Job points to the answer, the righteousness of our Maker.

Daniel was given the "when" and just "who" would have knowledge and insight. The knowledge prophecy starts in Daniel 11 and continues through Daniel 12, and I donlt think it should be taken out of Biblical context. 

Amos sums something up and it not about science, education or computer technology. It is about finding the LORD God's voice and returning to it:

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.” Amos 8:11-12

Here's the thing, the guy that numbered verses and chaptered up the Bible around the 13th century helped everyone get on the same page, but caused some confusion because chapter and verse numbering, even commas and periods that donlt exist in Hebrew or Greek can push things out of context.

Famine, aka lack of misunderstanding in what Almighty God has to say from the days of old are critical in the context of knowledge. 

If you ask me, not only Amos, but Isaiah can help us in the understanding that "knowledge will increase." 

Isaiah critically mentions "knowledge" 11 times. The one that stands out to me is this:

They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of The LORD as the waters cover the sea. Isaiah 11:9 NASB95

Isaiah's end time prophecy says, the earth will be full of the knowledge of The LORD. 

Look's plain as day, righteous knowledge of The LORD will increase, but why? 

The answer is Messiah and the righteous reign of the branch and Judah will call on Him to show up. 

We can find that in Isaiah 11:1-5:

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse,

And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him,

The spirit of wisdom and understanding,

The spirit of counsel and strength,

The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. 

And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,

And He will not judge by what His eyes see,

Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;

But with righteousness He will judge the poor,

And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;

And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,

And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins,

And faithfulness the belt about His waist.

Let's turn back to Daniel chapter 12. There Daniel writes about Michael. That's a Hebrew word phrase that means "who is like God." 

Who is like God?

"Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder for many days." 

“Now at that time Michael ("who is like God"), the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise ("come on the scene"). 

And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. 

Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. 

Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” 

Knowledge will increase is about God's purpose and gospel about the living word Messiah Yeshua, the righteous branch. The end time place knowledge is increasing is Israel as Jewish eyes are being opened to Messiah's two trips to that land, first as suffering Messiah and next as Messiah ben David the King. 

One eye opening reason is the witness of non-Jews that love the Jewish people, reject replacement theology, love the Torah and honor its Sabbaths as they stand with Israel in prayer and support as brothers.

The prophetic words of Daniel are unfolding today. Many Jewish people, in discernment are turning back to Jesus the Jewish Messiah. 

I believe Daniel was told that one who is like God is coming on the scene in Israel because the righteous knowledge of Yeshua's life as the great prince is being revealed and thank God Christians are turning away from replacement theology and returning to honor God's word, the Torah as best they can. 

Yet, dark evil is lurking over the world, except a bad seed hates Israel and the Jewish people. World War II is not just a horror history.

Daniel couldn't understand it.

It's time to repent and follow the way of the Master. The road to Emmaus starts with a return to the Bible and the knowledge and insight that Master Rabbi Yeshua taught about the written word of God.

Daniel was told, don't worry, what was revealed to him was for another time:

"I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these will be completed. 

As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, "My lord, what [will be] the outcome of these? 

He said, "Go Daniel, for words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. 

Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand."

There's darkness around Israel today. In the southwest there's Gaza "between the sea and the beautiful Holy Mountain" as Hamas frequently attacks innocents with rockets. To the north there's Hezbollah. Both are Iranian proxies of evil.

We need to see Gaza, Hezbollah and Iran in Daniel's final chapters. Not only that, there's more and many can sense the spiritual war behind the scenes of dark vs. light in the unseen realm which is why we need to study Daniel 11 carefully.

I don't know when, but soon, it will be the appointed time for Messiah the prince to stand and defend His people in the land, that's why Jesus said:

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword."

Yet, Jerusalem must call on Him and they will say, "BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!”

Jesus is known by many as the redeemer among the nations, but He will return to Jerusalem.

I suppose one could say, I have knowledge of Him as Israel's Messiah, but Judah does not yet perceive their Messiah, their knowledge is lacking largely due to theology, but knowledge will increase. 

Why is He not seen by the Jewish people as a whole? 

The sad truth is He's been disguised by the church as a Jesus that started a new replacement for Israel that says He turned his back on the Old Testament, changed the Sabbath to Sunday, converted Passover to Easter and will rapture away the church leaving the Jewish people to suffer tribulation under the antichrist.

Those who have Biblical insight and increased knowledge understand Yeshua (Jesus) would never do any of those things. 

They know Yeshua kept and taught the Torah way of life and light to a dark world. He kept the commands, even the least of them as it is written because the Torah's jots and tittles remain as long as heaven and earth are in plain sight. 

They believe what your not to think in the Sermon on the Mount.

Paul wrote all Israel will be saved because he studied Moses and the Prophets and then he wrote the Romans saying the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.: 

"For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery--so that you will not be wise in your own estimation--that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, 

'THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB. THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.'

From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."

The fathers are Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the “fullness of the Gentiles” is the Genesis 48 prophecy Paul borrowed from Jacob. After all, it was Jacob that first delivered the fullness of the Gentiles message when he blessed his adopted son Ephraim. Many translations say multitude of the Gentiles, but the Hebrew word mel-o means fullness and Paul knew it, you should too.

That fullness is why it's important to know Ephraim's maternal grandfather was an Egyptian pagan priest of On, but that did not matter to Jacob becuase he knew about love and the power of adoption is a gift from Almighty God. 

Jacob even gave Ephraim the reason his mother was an Egyptian and why he had to be adopted: “Your seed will be a (mel-o) fullness of the Gentiles (goy - nations).” 

Turning back to Daniel, we can see key timelines linked to "the one like God."

Can we connect the phrase "a time, times, and half a time" in Daniel 12:7 to our calendar today? 

Not easily because the planet, except the Jewish people, ignore God's Biblical calendar, instead the nations use Pope Gregory's.

So to understand, we have to adopt a calendar conversion. 

As knowledge increases, we might see that the Biblical calendar zeroes in on 360 day years, not always 365 days. Not only that, we have to understand that the seven Shemittah years of Leviticus 25 remains intact. 

Leviticus wasn't done away with, neither was the Jubilee, the Feast Days of The LORD or the Sabbath. 

Forgetting the Feast Days is the reason many sermons miss the fact that the book of Revelation is a commentary on The LORD's Fall Feast days because they either preach that they are old and done away with or that they are just for the Jewish people. 

Revelation reveals the Fall Feasts including Yom Teruah the day of Trumpets or shouting and rejoicing noted in Revelation 19, the ten days of awe leading up to Yom Kippur's judgment day, the marriage supper of the lamb during the Sukkot Feast of Tabernacles week and the great eighth day known as Shemini Atzeret. The eternal eight day is described in Revelation 21. 

The Biblical truth is the Feasts aren't just Jewish, they are The LORD's, His moedim appointments. That fact is why they are ignored and sadly not studied for understanding in most modern church pews.

To understand the Shemittah, we have to remember why Daniel was in Babylon in the first place.

The facts are that ancient Judah and Benjamin ignored the Shemittah rest commanded at Sinai for the Promised Land they inherited from Almighty God. They forgot God's instruction for rest and restoration also applied to the land. They forgot the Shemittah rest, perhaps thinking the instruction from God to trust Him was old and done away with and they chose to ignore the Shemittah year of land rest for 490 years. 

So, in judgment they were exiled to Babylon for 70 years which accounts for the 70 Shemittah years during that 490 year timeline.

Now think about this... if we consider Nebuchadnezzar attacked and shattered Judah and took the survivors into exile around 586BC we can begin to see the big picture about the "weeks" of years prophecy noted in Daniel 9:24-26. 

I'm not the authority, but it seems to me, it was Artaxerxes' decree that connects Ezra and Nehemiah's repairs in Jerusalem to Yeshua's timeline and even Yeshua's anointment in Bethany two days before Passover ties in. 

Artaxerxes' decree was circa 444BC, that's seven (7) weeks and sixty-two (62) weeks of years in Hebrew counting and it brings us to the time stamp of the Passover cross in Jerusalem which sealed the Daniel 9:24 visionary words to begin to:

• End transgression and sin
• Make reconciliation for iniquity and bring in everlasting righteousness
• Seal up vision and prophecy
• Anoint the most holy

Without question we should study all we can about Cyrus and Artaxerxes. They are linked to the Daniel 9 timelines that provide the countdown to the anointed one, the Messiah of Israel that was cut off before the second Temple destruction and the desolation of Jerusalem by Titus, the Roman prince that destroyed the city and the sanctuary with a flood of Legions.

Titus came to destroy and ever since 70AD, the world has seen desolation atop the Temple Mount:

"Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. 

And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. 

And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. 

Desolations are decreed"

Desolations?

They remain. Just try and go to Jerusalem to pray atop the Temple Mount today, you'll either get attacked by madmen hanging around outside a mosque there or arrested by the police to keep status quo chaos from breaking out.

What about the end of sin? 

Daniel was told that the "anointed one" would put an end to sin, and atone for iniquity, bring in everlasting righteousness and seal both vision and prophet and anoint a most holy place.

Jerusalem was anointed with Yeshua's blood, but the end of sin and atonement for iniquity prophecy is not complete because the mystery is it takes two trips. 

Messiah Yeshua will return to anoint Jerusalem with peace and bring in everlasting righteousness.

Thank the LORD, Cyrus and Artaxerxes give us two witnesses with their decrees to restore and build Jerusalem before Yeshua Messiah arrived on the scene. 

Incredibly, The LORD used those Gentile kings to help the Jewish people just as King David's old Gentile friend Hiram of Tyre helped Solomon with the construction of the Temple as a House of Prayer for "All Nations" in keeping with the promise given to Abraham.

Daniel 9 shows us that the anointed Messiah would be revealed at the end of the 69th 'week' of years. 

It came true. 

Cyrus and Artaxerxes' Gentile decrees of kindness for the Jewish people are forever linked to the purpose of Messiah's humble first trip. King Artaxerxes sent Ezra and Nehemiah back to Jerusalem with a mission and money to rebuild after the destruction of Babylon's head of gold reign and to restore the city and sanctuary to begin to prepare it for Messiah's first trip. 

Artaxerxes may not have realized his assignment was to prepare Jerusalem for Messiah's first arrival, but Almighty God used a Gentile to set redemption in motion for the Gentiles.

Not only that, the city remains the very place for Jewish redemption.

That prophetic process went into high gear in May 1948. Believe it or not, it was during the Omer Count that follow Passover. 

We are now in the latter days of Biblical time when all Israel will soon see Messiah return as the King.  

It's important to know that Cyrus and Artaxerxes were not Jewish, but they were God fearers, God believers just like the sojourners that left Egypt with the Jewish people.

King Artaxerxes honored both Ezra and Nehemiah as well as Almighty God when he returned the silver and gold Temple treasures that Nebuchadnezzar had stolen. 

Today, the Jewish people have another restoration assignment, to prepare the land for Messiah's return, thier work has continued since 1948. 

Think about this, the U.N. is a Gentile group of nations and they set the redemption stage with a decree for Israel to be reborn in 1947. 

Today, the Jewish people are in Israel, arisen from the ashes and gas chambers of the Holocaust but a spiritual realm and physical battle remains. 

It's about dark vs. light, the Koran vs. the Bible.

The Jewish people have returned, but few realize they are there to restorethe land for Messiah's Return!!

Whether you think it will be Messiah's first trip as most Jews do or the second trip as Christians do, first or second will not affect the outcome of redemption on the planet. 

Let that soak in because Daniel 9:27 is trustworthy and true. 

There are desolations in Jerusalem today, and we need to see them. 

They are mysteriously tied to timelines in the book of Daniel. 

Jumping back to my brief exchange with the famous, best-selling author, I expressed deep concern for a wild-eyed teaching to sell books with the idea that a Pope from the Vatican will become an EU anti-christ and take over the planet just as a Christian rapture escape from tribulation leaves the Jewish people to suffer in tribulation worse than the Holocaust. 

Think about it. 

Those rapture ride theories are mysteriously veiled in a replacement theory anti-Semitism;

Christians escape and Jews suffer. 

That writer's NY Times best seller may have made make him famous for awhile, but unwittingly he has handed out a big dose of slavery to sin by taking away from The LORD's Torah that Ezra taught. 

His book is in conflict with Moses' dire warning in Deuteronomy 12:32: 

“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it."

The reason for that timeless warning is that Moses knew the words he wrote down were direct from the voice of Almighty God, every jot and every tittle. Moses added nothing to God's voice, and he never took anything away, nether did Yeshua. 

The red-letter Sermon on the Mount is the proof. You must re-read it with eyes wide open, because God does not change.

Many may be startled by the truth's found in the Sermon on the Mount due to misinformation, but we must re-consider those words and the words of Daniel. 

The reason, the book of Daniel has nothing to do with an EU end-time revived Roman Empire. The book of Daniel like its counterpart, the book of Revelation don't include a madman Pope or an anytime rapture ride. 

Daniel wrote about resurrection from the dust of the earth, not a rapture ride. 

The words of Daniel can't be twisted to fit that new church pew view of floating on a cloud while the Jewish people are pulverized. 

The truth is just it is written. The end time focus is on Jerusalem and all prophecies point to The Lord's Prayer from the Sermon on the Mount... "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."

On eath is not an escape. Now, let's ask, is there any knowledge about the abomination of desolation noted in Daniel 12:11? 

See for yourself. 

Take a look at a most any photo of the Temple Mount, there's something front and center and the gold dome is connected to 1948, 1967 and the latter days we are in today.

We need to look to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount if we want to understand on eperspective of the prophetic messages given to Daniel and the time stamps marked with this promise:

“Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time." Daniel 12:9

Again, I am NOT saying I can unseal any of the words given to Daniel. 

I'm no Bible scholar, just a student of the Bible, I'm no prophet, but I do know we must consider how important the words are. They are sealed up until the time of the end. 

To understand a piece of that, we have to remember Jesus, aka Yeshua acknowledged Daniel's son of man vision whenever He called himself the son of man. 

Yeshua used Daniel's description from the Aramaic portion of Daniel's scroll written in Persia that points to the ultimate כְּבַ֥ר אֱנָ֖שׁ "bar enash" son of man. After all, Yeshua's preaching focused on the gospel of the Kingdom promise of the son of man revealed in Daniel 7 that everyone should read:

"His kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom,

and all dominions shall serve and obey him." 

All dominions means all, those on earth and in heaven, both the seen and the unseen.

The disciples asked Yeshua about a sign and its timing at the end of the age as they stood on the Temple Mount admiring the renovation handiwork of Herod the Great, another Gentile, an Idumean (Edomite) according to Josephus's works (Antiquities of the Jews and The Jewish War), which provide us with the detailed account of Herod's Idumean ancestry and family.

Yeshua pointed them back to Daniel's scroll and gave them a link to the fourth beast power described in Daniel 7 that the Ancient of Days will judge and all dominions shall serve and obey him (both the seen and the unseen).

But the court shall sit in judgment,

and his dominion shall be taken away,

to be consumed and destroyed to the end.

And the kingdom and the dominion

and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven

shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High;

his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom,

and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

On the time line, we also have to consider that Yeshua was referencing Daniel 12:11 and that's connected to the 1,290 and 1,260 year time lines before the King returns to defend the Jewish people that have returned to the Holy land and establish the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven once and for all:

“Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place…” Matthew 24:15

The holy place is still holy. It's not old and its not done away with. 

In Matthew 24:15–16 Yeshua was telling His disciples and all of us that something standing in the holy place is important. Daniel's visions link to a time vortex critical to the Kingdom, so the abomination of desolation standing there right now needs to be known. 

It's been there for awhile including the days of the Ottoman Empire's desolation ban on non-Muslim access to the Temple Mount to pray. That status quo prayer ban remains but it will change, and when it does, you better open your eyes and your heart and affix them on Jerusalem and the top of the Temple Mount, not the Western Wall!

The most miss-understood prophecies are those about the “abomination of desolation” reference in Matthew 24 when Yeshua gives weight to the concluding words of Daniel 9:27 as well as Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11. 

Without hesitation, Yeshua admonished the Jewish disciples to remember the prophetic words of Daniel because they are embedded in God's plan for His House of Prayer for all nations, that will not remain a den for robbers.

When we understand that the Temple Solomon built was ransacked by Babylon's Nebuchadnezzar in 586BC followed by the “abomination” by the Greek tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes in 167 BC, followed by the "desolation" in 70 AD by Titus the Roman, we should know we have to look to Jerusalem in these latter days and consider the presence atop the Temple Mount that prevents prayer to the God of Israel.

When we do, we might begin to unseal Daniel's dreams and the words given to him by Gabriel the messenger. He's the same Gabriel that arrived on the scene to let Mary know that she was chosen to play a big part in the timeline of the kingdom revealed to Daniel:

"Six months after Elizabeth knew she was to become a mother, Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth. Nazareth was a town in the country of Galilee. He went to a woman who had never had a man. Her name was Mary. She was promised in marriage to a man named Joseph. Joseph was of the family of David. 

The angel came to her and said, “You are honored very much. You are a favored woman. The Lord is with you. You are chosen from among many women.”

When she saw the angel, she was troubled at his words. She thought about what had been said. The angel said to her, “Mary, do not be afraid. You have found favor with God. 

See! You are to become a mother and have a Son. You are to give Him the name Yeshua. He will be great. He will be called the Son of the Most High. 

The Lord God will give Him the place where His early father David sat. He will be King over the family of Jacob forever and His nation will have no end.” Luke 1:26-33

Mary like Daniel was greatly troubled.

Now, fast forward to the facts on the holy sanctuary ground today.

The trouble for now is that brotherly prayer, both Jewish and Christian are desolate atop the location of God's House of Prayer for All Nations. It's been that way for many years, reserved for prayer to a moon god with a book called the Quran. 

Like Jeremiah said, it's a den of robbers (Jeremiah 7:11). 

For now, the only call to prayer there is a prostrate prayer toward Mecca.

Antone looking at the Temple Mount can see the big gold dome and a mosque. You can't miss them. That fact should point us to a question: Why and when was the gold dome put there? 

The answer points us back to the Islamic invasion and occupation of Jerusalem. It led to the construction of the Dome of the Rock by the order of Abd al-Malik, a Muslim. The construction started around 688 AD and dome was completed in 691 AD.

Long before that, the Greek madman Antiochus IV Epiphanes had arrived on the same scene. He also brought desolation and abomination to prayer, but it didn't last, the Maccabees saw to that. 

By the way, his name at the time was not Antiochus, that name has morphed in the history books. His name was was Mithradates, meaning "gift of Mithra." His real name is a big clue because the Persian god Mithra was the idol god of light. 

Mithra is from Persia and today that's Iran, another name that's morphed in disguise.

The Mithra myth says that the Persian god of light was born under a sacred tree with a torch and sword in his hands. Think about that so-called sacred tree for a minute...

After Alexander the Great conquered Persia, the ancient religion of Mithraism was adopted. It spread most everywhere originating from the same area as today's Iran and Syria. Mithraism morphed its way from Persia to Greece and eventually gained a foothold in the Roman Empire's adopted cult idol system. 

The cult of Mithra was a viral religious disease spread first by the Greek foot soldiers of Alexander the Great that the Legions of the Roman Empire pledged allegiance to everywhere they went among the nations. Mithra's legends mutated like a virus against the Almighty God of Israel from the Greek sun god Helios and the Roman sun god, Sol Invictus. Those gods are the same, just relabeled in different times and cultures.

Back in 167 BC, that guy named Mithradates aka Antiochus IV sent his army of 22,000 Greek warriors to Jerusalem and ordered that they rip the people following the God of Israel to shreds. 

The Mithra madmen attacked on a Sabbath, killing most of the faithful Jewish men in the old city as they took Jewish women and children hostage as sex and labor slaves.  

Sadly, what goes around comes around, we'll see that repeat in Israel one day in one form or another.

We should know that because Islam's jihadist terrorists that pledge allegiance to Mohammed while shouting Allah Akbar have the same goal on full display in the Hamas Charter in Gaza. Their goal is to annihilate the Jewish people of Israel.

Long before Antiochus' terrorists brutally murdered the Jewish people in their Sabbath surprise attack, Jerusalem’s walls that had been restored by Ezra and Nehemiah were damaged again as Mithradates aka Antiochus IV set up his military garrison to the south side of the Temple Mount near the City of David. 

Next, the Torah of God was outlawed by Mithradates. 

That was perhaps the world's first Bible ban, after all, king Nebuchadnezzar never outlawed the Bible as far as we know. 

As the Levite priests were mutilated, maimed and murdered, the daily tamid lamb sacrifices ended as the Levite prayers and songs atop the Temple Mounts were extinguished with their lives.

Those offerings had continued for years even after Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon attacked in 586 BC. 

We know that because Jeremiah is the witness to that fact that they continued after the diaspora to Babylon. 

Back in that day, Jeremiah was given a choice. He could stay in Jerusalem, so He did not go in chains with Daniel to Babylon. Jeremiah remained in Judea and his Biblical record reveals that the grain offerings and incense continued on, see Jeremiah 41:5 for the proof text.

Antiochus did not allow those daily offerings of prayer or song to continue at the Temple Mount because he wiped out the priesthood. 

That is a bigtime marker.

Antiochus was a ruthless evil anti-Semite like Haman and Hitler. He even ordered a monument to the Greek god Zeus to be erected over the Altar of burnt offerings around 167 B.C. The abominable worship of Zeus (the idol master of the earth) desolated the Temple Mount some 200 years before Yeshua warned of another abomination of desolation to come to the same place. 

Yeshua was saying what goes around comes around, after all that's how prophecy unfolds in the end. 

In Matthew 24, Yeshua points us back to Daniel 9:27:

And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Take note, that word sacrifice is "zebah" זבח and it's a singular noun and it does not carry the meaning of all sacrifices. In Scripture there's an unusual sacrifice, in fact Jewish sages say that since Sinai's instruction about it there have only been nine such sacrifices over thousands of years. 

That sacrifice is the red heifer. 

You can find the unblemished red heifer ordinance in Numbers 19 and the prophetic instruction includes hyssop and scarlet material to be used with water for purification from death's defilement to pass it from death to life. 

Hyssop, scarlet, purification from death... does that sound familiar?

If not read John 19:28-37.

What might all this have to to with Daniel's word's about a sacrifice being stopped in the middle of a week?

It may mean we are to keep our eyes wide open for news about a red heifer in Jerusalem. 

For now, let's go back to the Antiochus story. 

Unless you keep an eye on Hanukkah, just like Jesus did (see John 10:22-30) you may not know it, but in 167BC a pig was sacrificed under the Greek madman's order. 

Oh, by the way... that baked ham day was December 25th... does that sound familiar? 

The pig was roasted on the Zeus altar to the pagan god of Olympus atop the Temple Mount. 

Why did Antiochus pick that day? 

Was it because pagan Greeks celebrated the birthday of Diónysos the Liberator whom they believed he was born on December 25th? Was it about Antiochus namesake Mithras? 

Thank God, the faithful Maccabees were able to rise up, revolt and fight back to defeat the Greeks and rededicate the Temple that was defiled with a pig on December 25th. 

Because of the amazing bravery and faith of the Maccabees, anyone can read that Yeshua was at at the dedication celebration during the festival of lights on Solomon's porch. By the way, that dedication is Hanukkah:

"And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch." John 10:22-23 

What goes around does come around. 

If you ask me, Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus and Titus foreshadowed the feet in the Islamic invasion of Jerusalem led by Caliph Omar some 600 years after the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70AD. 

Old Omar entered Jerusalem in 661 AD and Jerusalem remained under the rule of the Umayyad Dynasty until 750 AD when the Ottoman Turks invaded. And as already noted, in 688 AD construction began on the Dome of the Rock that wrapped up in 691 AD. 

It's at the place that Muslim people think it honors the location of Muhammad's mystic rapture ride to heaven on a horse and the shrine has remained ever since. 

Today, the religion called Islam is used politically and religiously with a desolation to Jewish and Christian prayer. It will likely remain a desolation to daily prayer offerings to the God of Israel until just before the return of Israel's Messiah King.

Not only that, the Dome of the Rock is not the whole story. It sits beside the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount.  Perhaps the Al Aqsa Mosque sits in the "court of the Gentiles" just outside the area where the Temple stood. Think about that, the location could be where Yeshua cleaned house of the "den of robbers" (see Matthew 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-17; Luke 19:45-48; John 2:14-17). 

Today, the fact is the Temple Mount remains in Islam's control under the rule of the Muslim Waqf from Amman, Jordan and it is the vortex of the conflict as Arab people pray to Mecca while jihadist radicals scream Allah Akbar when attacking the people of the book. 

On 9/11, I heard the shouts of Allah Akbar for the first time from those that led the jihad attacks on America. Later that week I learned the shouts mean Allah is greater, it's not Allah is great. 

You should ask, what do they mean" Greater than who?

Now, reconsider what a Jewish man named Paul wrote:

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

Are you beginning to see the man of lawlessness picture and the location of his seat today? 

It's not a Pope and its not in Rome.

Abraham asked God to extend blessings to the descendants of Ishmael, but for most, that isn't their plan as Islam declares opposition to the God of Israel and the descendants of Jacob. 

Almighty God has a plan, and He promised to make a great nation from Ishmael, but He passed on His covenant land and blessing promise to Isaac, then to Jacob and the family line that lead to Yeshua.

Today, we have a Middle East conflict that will never be solved with a Palestinian state and on 9/11 the conflict of good vs. evil crashed headlong into Manhattan's World Trade Center towers in 2001 as extremist religious radicals screamed Allah Akbar spreading their terror across the planet.

Prophecy cycles, but its focus doesn't move an inch, it is on the Middle East, so get your eyes back on the walls of Jerusalem. 

Like I said to the book best seller, forget about Rome!

The Temple Mount reveals the end time “abomination that causes desolation” of prayer. 

That desolation points us to the horn (power) of a fourth beast, which as Daniel said was different from all the rest: exceedingly terrifying, with its teeth of iron and claws of bronze, and which devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet. 

Today, radical terrorist proxies funded by the Shi'ites of Iran fire iron rockets, yield martyr's bombs, guns and knives in Israel. At the same time, Sunni tread their feet on Temple Mount today like a den of robbers and the result is the desolation of Jewish and Christian prayer to the Almighty God of Israel each and every day. 

Daniel 7:21-22 reveals how long the evil vs. good war will last:

"As I looked, this horn made war with the saints and prevailed over them, until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given for the saints of the Most High, and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom."

Think about that Ancient of Days.

And think about this, some 600 years after Yeshua gave the warning about desolation,  Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik showed u at the Temple Mount and gave his decree to build the Muslim shrine called the Dome of the Rock. 

The desolation of prayer problem with the Dome of the Rock is front and center in the picture along wide the Al-Aqsa mosque. 

To gain a better understanding of the prophetic times we are in, it's time to read the Bible and believe it. 

The word of God declares the things that the Almighty One calls an abomination. They include sins that started after the world began to spin on its axis. 

Six abominations are declared by Almighty God thT include:

• Idol worship (Deuteronomy 7:25-26)
• Serving false gods (Deuteronomy 13:12-14
• Homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22)
• Cross dressing (Deuteronomy 22:5)
• Harlotry (Deuteronomy 23:16) 

Each of these abominations is a clear and present danger in society today. 

What goes around comes around. 

Three of them point us back to Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus and Titus as well as the Caliphs, Mullahs and Imams and the Muslim Waqf that honors another god at the sanctuary reserved for the House of Prayer for all nations that seek to pray to The God of Israel.

The abomination of serving the wrong god brought desolation to the Temple Mount. 

By just looking there we can see serving a lesser god is sin against the promise of the House of Prayer for all peoples. The result is a desolation of prayer front and center at the very place Almighty God chose to put His name not another. 

A big part of God's reputation is the promise of a House of Prayer for all nations at the Temple Mount (see Deuteronomy 12:5; 1Kings 11:13, 1Kings 11:32-36; Psalms 132:13 and 2Chronicles 6:6). So, the thing we all need to know now is that the vortex of prophecy in the vortex of time is focused on Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, not Rome. 

Daniel's timelines have my Fall Feast attention on this one: "For 2,300 evenings and mornings. Then the (kodesh) holy place shall be restored to its rightful state.”

The facts on the holy ground today gives Daniel's prophetic message that Yeshua spoke of. The season of the desolation of prayer remains front and center, but it will end. So, it's time to study Daniel and let the scrolls speak for themselves. 

As we read the book of Daniel, we MUST allow Scripture to define itself and history to validate it as the prophets of the Bible back up the words of Daniel. As we read, pray too, that the Spirit of God will teach and unseal the prophetic book as knowledge increases about Almighty God's word just as promised in Daniel 12:4.

Following the mystery messages given to Daniel, Yeshua-Jesus gives us clues to look for before His return to defend the Jewish people when all other hope is lost. 

He will return as the High Priest King of the planet in Jerusalem. 

The clues are listed in Matthew 24 and Yeshua's warnings are a validation on the book of Daniel for the latter days. One of the big clues can be found in Matthew 24:30 and it 's linked to the Genesis 1:14 and if you ask me the sign of the star of Bethlehem. 

That star was an extraordinary celestial event that was seen at the first coming described in Matthew 2:1-12. Today, no one really knows what that star was. Some think it was a great comet, some a supernova, others a conjunction of the planet Jupiter with Regulus. 

There's another view. Johannes Kepler, circa 1614 without the aid of a computer, mathematically calculated the orbits of the planets. In doing so, Kepler believed that the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn might have been what was seen by the "wise men" as the Star of Bethlehem that signaled tmen to start their journey described in Matthew 2 when the two massive planets aligned in 7 B.C. 

A few short years later, on August of 3 BC, Jupiter and Venus had a very close conjunction in the morning sky. This was followed by an even more spectacular alignment on June 17, 2 BC. That day, Jupiter and Venus formed a strikingly close conjunction where the two planets appeared nearly to merge, separated by only about 1/10th of a degree, roughly one-fifth the diameter of the full moon. 

The Matthew 2:7 account says: "For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him." The fact that Herod had to ask when the Star appeared seems pretty odd  to me. 

Why didn't he see it?

Kepler may have been correct, perhaps the wise men saw a Jupiter conjunction with Saturn. 

I don't know. The reason, we see that conjunction again and again. After all, the conjunction of the two planets occurs about every 20 years when Jupiter "overtakes" Saturn in its orbit. 

On another note, perhaps the star of the return is like a Supernova. Check out Matthew 24:29-30 "...the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man."

The Supernova theory looks intriguing. 

The thing is, a Supernova is the result of a star's explosion into a super-bright runaway flash that occurs for most stars at the last stage of existence and some can last for quite a while. 

Keep in mind, the Bible tells us that the heavens declare God's glory. King David wrote those words, you can find them in Psalms 19:1.

A star's Supernova stage is triggered by what is thought to be nuclear fusion as its power is compressed into the star's inner core. The result is a cataclysmic explosion and the Supernova can be so bright that it can be difficult to see other nearby stars. The blasts can be so large that they can outshine an entire galaxy if the Supernova is nearby in relative terms.

Not only that, a Supernova can be seen without a telescope and be impossible for anyone with eyes to miss. Perhaps, a future Supernova-like candidate is the massive red giant pulsating star we know as Betelgeuse, or maybe not! I've often wondered if that giant red star could provide a potential answer to the Isaiah 7:11 challenge and point to the second arrival of Messiah described in Matthew 24:30 and 1Corinthians 15:41.

When I read Matthew 24, the thing that is curious to me about Matthew's Greek translation in Matthew 24:30 is that the words καί αὐτῆς are transcribed as "and the stars." 

Yet, according to Strong's Greek lexicon that word "astēr" αὐτῆς is a singular star. That's how it's rendered in various verses including Matthew 2:2, Revelation 8:10, Revelation 2:28 and Revelation 22:16. 

What ever it is, Yeshua summed up what will happen before His return, it will be like the first visit, it includes some big-time celestial signs including solar and lunar eclipses and perhaps a comet or two:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 

Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Matthew 24:29-30

This commentary does not offer any resolution to unsealing those future celestial signs or the timing before the return nor really knowing the mystery visions of Daniel. 

I do know, for knowledge to increase we must continue to study the Scriptures with an eye toward Israel and the Jewish people. Not only that, we have to keep an eye on history, on Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Matthew 24 also tells us to keep and eye on the heavens above because "the sign" of Messiah will appear again and I don't think we'll need a telescope.

Perhaps the sign of Messiah is linked to a heavenly resurrection-like event.

Did you know that T Coronae Borealis is a binary star system located in the Corona Borealis constellation about 3,000 light-years from Earth. It consists of a white dwarf (the remnant of a dead star) and a red giant star orbiting each other. The star cycles, it last erupted if you will on February 6th 1946, just before the 1947 U.N. resolution for Israel. 

Astronomers suggest that in a few years the binary could show up again since T Coronae Borealis repeats its nova explosion approximately every 80 years as the star's hydrogen-rich material suddenly undergoes thermonuclear fusion in a runaway reaction, causing a massive explosion that briefly makes the star system vastly brighter, bright enough to be visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.

This explosion ejects material into space and resets the cycle, after which the process begins again.

 

All of this requires continuous prayer for discernment. 

One last thought regarding the potential of Betelgeuse though. That red star's name just so happens to mean “the coming of the branch” and the constellation that it resides in is the ancient name of Orion. 

The Bible refers to the Messiah as a "branch" in several passages, notably in the books of Isaiah Jeremiah and Zechariah. The constellation Orion is mentioned twice in the book of Job and once in a prophecy from Amos. 

Orion means “coming forth as light.” Here's the thing. Jesus is called "the light of the world" in John 8:12.

I just thought you should know that.

Continuing on, let's turn back to Daniel's magnificent prayer. 

His prayer is focused on God's House of Prayer, so we must zero in on Daniel's words because his prayer remains with us for a good Good reason today. 

That prayer in Babylon contains 1) confession, 2) humility, 3) worship, 4) a call for obedience and 5) a plea for mercy!! 

If we will pray Daniel's prayer (see Daniel 9:4-19); we get to participate in its ultimate fulfillment, but only The LORD knows when. 

Daniel's prayer:

“O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. 

We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 

To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you. 

To us, O LORD, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. 

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. 

All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. 

And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against Him. He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing upon us a great calamity. For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem. 

As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the LORD our God, turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. Therefore the LORD has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and we have not obeyed his voice. 

And now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have made a name for yourself, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly. 

“O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a byword among all who are around us. 

Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. 

For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. 

O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

Amen and amen!

Now, let's dig into the order of the book of Daniel. 

One of the first things to notice is the diary-like date information given by Daniel in the prologue of each "chapter" and if we look closely like the book of Jeremiah, it's does to appear to be assembled out of chronologic chapter order. 

The information that's contained in chapters 7 and 8 all occurs before chapter 6.

It's almost as if Daniel wrote a chapter here and there as a single scroll and the scrolls were picked up from the dust bin and published out of order.

Not only that, keep in mind that numbering verses and assigning chapters is historically a new concept.  

After all, the first person acknowledged to assign Bible chapters and verses was Stephen Langton around 1227–1238AD. He was the Archbishop of Canterbury at the time.  

Bible publishers have used Langton's chapter and verse sequencing since the days of the Geneva Bible, but chapter and verse numbers are not always a good thing because the division can dull our understanding of the original manuscripts of the Bible and their context whether reading Daniel or any other Bible book by chapter and verse. 

Numbered chapters and verses are not all bad. 

They can get everyone on the same page, but they can break the theme and the context embedded in the message of the Hebrew scrolls and limit our view of the bigger picture within them. 

Think about it, the storylines in the scrolls back in Daniel's day were revealed by unrolling the scroll one portion at a time. The Jewish people still ready the Torah scroll that way. With a scroll, you could never turn a page to jump around the text one verse or chapter at a time like we do today. You had to read and study the flow of each scroll and if you dropped them, they could get out of order. 

I'm not saying that happened with what we call the book of Daniel.

But perhaps it did when the scribes re-created the manuscripts of Daniel and even Jeremiah which also seems out of order. If so, perhaps there's a God reason for that. The point is, we need to step back and seek the whole truth and not be dogmatic concerning interpretations of Scripture that come from taking a verse snippet or two out of context like the phrase found in Daniel that says: "knowledge will increase." 

Not only that, it seems Daniel did not write the entire book. it looks as if Nebuchadnezzar wrote the fourth chapter. Check it out, just read Daniel 4 for yourself, it's written as if it's in a first person format.

The first half of Daniel is the history that leads to the fall of Babylon, the second half looks Persia and to the end times if you will. Revelation chapters 14, 16, 17 and 18 point to that.

In regard to Daniel, chapters 8-12, should be read together as a unified message, not segregated in bit and pieces like many do when quoting verses from chapters 10-12.

Not only that, the Bible is more but as a a history book it provides eternal lessons that cycle, so we have to look at history to understand what goes around comes around. That's why I've shared some big time events here. 

Speaking of history, the scroll of Daniel was recorded about 25 centuries ago circa 586 BC - 536 BC. Like Jeremiah's scroll, those dates can be uncovered if we look at the chronology of the historic timelines recorded in each scroll as well as external sources still remaining such as the Babylonian steles now found in museums. 

Daniel and Jeremiah used timeline markers for a good reason, and we can know that because nothing is random in the Bible, after all Almighty God is the God of order, not chaos.

There are many external resources, to help us get a better picture on the timelines in Daniel. You might want to look at a few of them, believe me they can help, a-lot. 

Thank The LORD, Daniel's visions have a series of embedded date stamps to help us along the way.

So, I've been thinking, if we re-read the chapters in the order of the historic date stamps recorded by Daniel, then our understanding of the cycle of their prophecies may be improved. More importantly, if we step back and study how the prophecies are supported by historic events, the embedded timelines for the end time may begin to crack open the end-time seals of knowledge that's destined to increase.

The messenger of God that spoke to Daniel promised to "open up" the words of Daniel in the latter days. He did this by declaring "knowledge will increase." In other words, knowledge of the Bible and the book of Daniel will increase and be backed historic events will break the seals of the prophecies in the scrolls. 

The book of Daniel is a history lesson in advance and that's why sceptics said it was not written in ancient Babylon but hundreds of years after the life and times of Jesus. The Dead Sea scrolls demolished that so-called scholarly theory after they were found.

Daniel points to Jerusalem and points to the promise of Messiah, so we need to understand the old scrolls found in Qumran are not just scrolls, but a promise tied to redemption and the restoration of God's Kingdom on earth. I think that's what the Dead Sea scroll discovery timeline is linked to the return of the Jewish people to Israel. 

It can't be a calendar coincidence.

If we speculate with a near-sighted view of history at seemingly random events we end up with very little knowledge, aka ignorance. Not only that, if we abandon the Jewish people because we have abandoned the Hebrew Bible thinking it's just an Old Testament, we can end up with our eyes on Rome instead of Jerusalem. 

This commentary does not purport to give all the answers, just uncover some cracks in understanding of history and Scripture that share God's gospel and His Kingdom ways. 

To open some level of understanding we have to believe the Bible and consider the fact that prophecy can cycle like a chiasm and the order of Daniel sets the stage for that.

Many other Scripture passages provide examples of chiastic structure, they include Ecclesiastes 11:3-12:2, Genesis 6-9, Amos 5:4-6, Isaiah 1:21-26. Joshua 1:5-9 and the book of Revelation. 

These chiastic patterns reveal the 3-D dimension of God's prophetic voice. 

Remember, a scroll is like a garment, it holds the body of the voice of God given to mankind as it was written to be an eternal life instruction manual unrolling toward the Kingdom of God restoration, but if we divide the Bible with a blank page, we can miss the message. 

With that in mind, let's take another look at Daniel 9. 

The prophecy revealed to Daniel by Gabriel deals with the timing of Jerusalem's restoration, then Messiah's crucifixion by the Roman occupiers followed by the destruction of Jerusalem that came about by Titus' Roman Legion foot soldiers and horsemen known as the Decuriones, Praefectus and those Centurions that warred to destroy the Jewish people and take their land.

For critical insight on just "who" those "Legions" really were, we have to look at the truth embedded in Roman history because it will help define the people and the events to come that Gabriel described to Daniel as the "latter days."

The Legion truth is, if you do some basic research, you can find that the real warriors under the command of Rome'd Emperor were indeed led by Roman military officers, but the majority of those Legions that attacked and destroyed Jerusalem a generation years after Messiah's ministry began at the mikvah in the Jordan River were not who you think they were. 

They were not the typical Roman foot soldiers seen in all the Bible movies from Hollywood. 

They were locals, recruited from today's Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, even Gaza and Saudi Arabia. 

This is critical to know if we are to understand Gabriel's words: the latter end of the indignation, for it refers to the appointed time of the end. The latter day of indignation has the same goal of wiping the Jewish people off the map and the nations agaisnt the Jewish people have moved an inch on the map!

The facts on the ground 2,000 years ago are that the "Legions" of Titus were a remnant of the ancient indignant enemies of Israel, the descendants of Ishmael, Esau and the Philistines that were influence by dark powers and principalities. 

The so-called Legions of Rome were leftovers of the same pagan people groups that Joshua was told to drive out of the Promised Land. Joshua did not complete the task, so the enemy remained. 

Documented Roman history reveals the Legion truth and you can find it for yourself.

The local warrior tribesmen were proxies drafted and funded by the Romans. 

Evil remains in the same areas today, still recruited by evil and funded for destruction of the Jewish people. Only the name has changed, it no longer Rome, the legions of terror and funded by Iran.

Yes the Persians remain with Haman's ancient goal demanding the annihilation of the Jews. Like I said, only the name has changed, Persia is Iran.

Like the days of antiquity, the latter days of the indignation are filled with Hadith hatred. 

Some of them still sling arrows and swords. We just call the arrows rockets. They are fired from Gaza and Lebanon. 

Today, their god counterfeit is not called Marduk, Mithras, Molech or Zeus. Yet, there is another name that popped up with the Koran 1,400 years ago... it's Allah and the followers make the Temple Mount desolate of prayers spoken to the God of Israel.

Understanding the facts on the ground is critical if we are to ever understand the identity of the fourth "beast" Daniel writes about or comprehend the fanatical ideology and religious chaos of the last empire of the iron and clay feet described in Daniel 2:34. 

Those toes are on the latter day scene, they are called Sunni and Shi'ite, we are living in Biblical times. 

The Shi'ite toes of iron have emerged indignant in plain sight. They stand against Israel as well as the USA as an ancient enemy before our post 9/11 eyes. 

The Ayatollahs of Iran have a wild ram's nuclear goal to wipe Israel and its people off the map and rule the world from the Middle East with the 12th Imam in charge of the planet. 

Yet in many ways, the Sunni Arab clay nations remain peaceful for now and two of them currently have standing Israeli peace treaties, they are Egypt and Jordan. Others will join.

Yet, iron and clay feet don't follow the God of Israel. 

Those feet do not stand to pray with the Jewish people or read from the Torah. Instead they pray atop the Temple Mount facing way way toward Mecca and the Kaa'ba Stone idol in the Grand Mosque known as Masjid al-Haram. 

For that reason, there remains an abomination of daily prayer desolation right before our eyes in Jerusalem, topped with a gold dome next to a mosque. 

They are an abomination desolation of prayer to the God of Israel at the very place He chose for His House of Prayer. 

The "beast" deploys radical Islamic jihad to prevent the Temple Mount from becoming the place of the  House of Prayer for all nations that seek to worship the God of Israel. 

To the very end, the beast rejects the land grant promise to Abraham, Issac and Jacob and even influences the media to deceive everyone labeling Judea and Samaria as the West Bank. 

There's no West Bank in the Bible.

The beast also pushes the heart and minds of men to sling death arrows using Hamas and Hezbollah radicals to hide underground only to come out of the darkness to fire rockets at innocent Israeli civilians and children.  The goal, to kill the followers of the God of Israel. 

It's the same old evil that infected Amalek so long ago as Israel was returning to the Promised land after their exile in Egypt. 

It's time to wake up, the divided toes of iron and clay are the manifestation of the same evil that drove Kenite, the Kenizzite, the Kadmonite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Rephaim, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Girgashite, and the Jebusite noted in Genesis 15:19. Infused with the dark spirits of hatred and death, they act as in a reincarnation of the evil ancients of not only Amalek, but the Rephaim giants like Og and Goliath of Gath and his minions the the Philistines.

The facts are that the Roman Legions were an anti-semite locals. Volunteers from the ancient areas recruited and funded as warriors drafted into evil some 2,000 years ago with a promise of citizenship under the Emperor. 

Those foot soldiers were recruited to maim and murder Jews. 

It's just like that today, young recruits are brainwashed to wear suicide bombs to kill themselves and Jews thinking they will earn a place in Heaven while their families are "left behind" to collect a "Martyrs'" pension fund from the PLO.

The facts recorded in the Roman annals that remain is that those recruits were not from Rome and they weren't Italian. 

They were locals, remnants from the ancient tribes described in the book of Joshua that enlisted to join the Legions. 

"Pay for slay" today is nothing new despite what you make think about when you read of the PLO pensions to the Arab families who children kill Jews. Just like the PLO, the Romans paid their local recruits seeking citizenship for their murder in service to the Emperor. 

Today, legions seek a Palestinian State on a map named by the Romans!

There are many historic sources of the truth about the Legions and their local militia proxy warrior recruits that mirror what Iran is doing with their iron and clay recruits called Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi. 

The proxy concept introduced Balak and adopted by Emperor Augustus has simply morphed to Iran. 

You can find the truth if you just look.

Back in the day, the realm of the so-called "client kings" were largely seen as an extended part of the Roman Empire. At that time, their so-called royal houses owed their position to the Roman legs of iron seen in Nebuchadnezzar's dream made famous by Daniel. Now they are feet of iron and clay.

After a thousand years, the Roman iron legs faded away into history just like all other nations that have hated and cursed Israel. Today, the feet of iron and clay described in Daniel 2:41-43 remain, but judgment is coming.

As part of the "arrangement" between Rome and its client kingdoms, local kings had to recruit and fund locals for Rome's war campaigns. It was common practice like it is today for the local Legions of such kings to fight under Roman rule in proxy battles against the people of Israel. 

Today Persia, aka Shi'ite Iran recruits and trains local Sunni jihadists to fight and plot their evil hatred against Israel. 

Back in 70AD, Titus' army in Judaea was accompanied by the foot soldiers of Agrippa II (Palestine), Sohaemus (Emesa) and Antiochus IV (Commagene). The troops from these client kingdoms were trained to fight like Romans in order to be more effective on the battlefield when working in union with the Roman military leaders.

The annexation of Galatia as a Roman province brought thirty cohorts of King Deiotarus under Roman command and they formed the Roman legion known as Legion XXI. Through annexation and draft, the vast majority of troops from the client kingdoms became auxiliary forces used by the Romans to fight their battles. 

We have to know the old truth to reveal the deception today.

So, with that jolt to your reality about the Legions of Titus that destroyed Jerusalem and sent the Jewish people into exile until May 1948, it's time to take a another look at Daniel 9. 

At the end of the chapter, you will find the words cited by many of today's so-called "prophecy" teachers that are doling out miss-information to the uninformed in the pews. 

As already noted above, some book sellers say a global peace on earth will be led by an EU one world order anti-christ beast from Rome, but the latter day beast is not the Pope for crying out loud, that's just another deception.

It's time to clean out our itchy ear opinions and study "Legion" history and the Bible for what it says. 

Now, let's re-read some word from Daniel 9 and ask: what is that "covenant" noted by Daniel? 

Is this really a global one world order peace treaty out of Rome?

“And he will confirm the covenant with many for one week:” Daniel 9:27

Nope, it's not a peace treaty. 

We know because that word is covenant is בְּרִית berîyth a covenant, not a peace treaty.

Since we should use Scripture to define Scripture, we have to consider something critically important about that covenant. In the Bible, “covenants” are made by The God of Israel with His people, aka those that choose to follow Him, native born or sojourner are linked to them. 

As you ponder that fact, keep in mind a Jewish tradition of asking questions to seek the answer: 

How can we reconsider the "covenant" and "the week" of Daniel 9?

Daniel actually points to the very same covenant he prayed about in the same context a few verses earlier. 

For insight to that prayer fact, let's go back and look at Daniel's words:

“And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments” Daniel 9:4

Daniel is talking about the eternal "covenant" rooted in the Ten Commandments and His mercy and lovingkindness described in the Torah gifted to those that love God and keep His commandments. 

Although the first two commandments were broken within a few days, in God's mercy and lovingkindness, He forgave Israel and the sojourners with them from the fire and cloud at the Sinai mountaintop after the golden calf sin abomination in that wilderness. 

You can read about that fact in Numbers 34:6-7 and Numbers 14:18-19.

We must never forget the forgiveness at Mount Sinai. 

Daniel certainly did not. After all, it was there that Almighty God described His character to Moses after idol worship broke the covenant on our end. Daniel's prayer proves he knew the promise of forgiveness if we repent. That lovingkindness is first declared in the Torah. 

Moses tied this all together in Deuteronomy 7:9 and it's also noted by Solomon in 1Kings 8:23 at the first Temple dedication.

Daniel's reference to the Torah covenant connection looks to be: "the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which God made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt." 

What about this so-called missing week the book sellers mention about Daniel 9:24-27?

"And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week..."

As already noted, Eusebius' writings should be examined, could the 70 weeks be just what it says?

Is that the timeline of Yeshua's ministry? If so, the timelines in Daniel 9:24-27 make sense, there's no missing week, no 2,000 year gap.

Regarding the covenant, perhaps its time to forget a future EU antichrist peace treaty in the middle of a 7-year week of global tribulation. The covenant of God is not a manmade war peace treaty. That peace treaty concept is picked out of a verse without Biblical covenant context.

If you ask me, Daniel is writing about the eternal covenant of Almighty God, written by His finger in stone that is backed by His lovingkindness, mercy and forgiveness. That covenant given to the family of God with the name Israel. 

Sadly, its true some 3,000 people broke the covenant supplying the gold and worshipping that golden  calf idol made in the image of Apis, the Egyptian bull god son of Hathor, but our Creator, the Almighty God of Israel showed his great mercy despite the in your face idolatry.

If you ask me, the end time peace treaty with an EU anti-christ is a theory much like the pre-trib rapture theories that sell lots of books for money while providing fodder for watered down sermons that unwittingly lead to confusion and chaos about Almighty God's covenant gospel plan to redeem humanity. 

Instead, Gabriel tells Daniel the message he was given as a command from the thorne room to deliver:

"At the beginning of your pleas the command was issued, and I have come to tell you, because you are highly esteemed; so pay attention to the message and gain understanding of the vision." Daniel 9:23

Before we dig in further, let's take a step back to the beginning of the book of Daniel and look at it with historic facts to gain more context. 

Daniel chapters 1-4 aligns with the reign of the historic head of gold, Babylon's king Nebuchadnezzar.

These four chapters are in sequential order according to Biblical and non-Biblical history of during Judah's exile after Jerusalem's first destruction under Nebuchadnezzar. A sequence is given in Daniel's diary-like timelines of rulers at the beginning of each chapter. 

After the those four chapters, Daniel notes the time stamps of other rulers and kings and those timelines can seem a bit confusing, so let's look at the chronologic order.

First, we have to reconsider what we should already know, Daniel did not write in a codex of contiguous "chapters" with numbered verses as we do today. In fact, Daniel did not write a "book" at all, he wrote his accounts and visions on scrolls, some in Hebrew and some in Aramaic. 

His words were penned over a period of many years in Bablyon and then in Persia and they read like flashbacks in a movie. They are all highlighted and date stamped by the kingly reigns Daniel introduces with historic time markers.

If Daniel were with us today and he wanted to gather up all his writings to review them with us, he would not have a single chapter or verse numbered "book" in hand. Instead, he would have a set of scrolls. So, the proper way to discern the historic order of each message in those scrolls, means we have to take note of the precise dating shown at the beginning of each chapter.

Logically, one should know that Daniel put these time markers in for good reason, a God reason, otherwise no one but Daniel could discern the order in which the prophetic visions unfold.

So, as we look at the opening words of each chapter, keep in mind Daniel had no publisher or verse and chapter numbering system. 

Daniel 1 to Daniel 2:4 are inscribed in Hebrew. Chapter two beginning with Daniel 2:5 to Daniel 7:28 are recorded in Chaldee Aramaic. Daniel chapters 2-7 are linked to the storyline of Daniel's life and times. After chapter 7, the scrolls shift from Aramaic back to Hebrew for the prophecies revealed in Daniel 8 to Daniel 12.

Why two languages?

Aramaic was a bridge language back in the day, a dialect if you will that was used by Jewish people in the Babylonian and Persian Empires, yet Hebrew was and is the ground zero language of the Jewish people with its focus is on the God of Israel and the people of Israel. 

I believe Daniel had two audiences in mind, both Jew and non-Jew, aka gentiles.

Hebrew was once a lost language if you will, but with the revival of Israel in 1948, the language of the Bible lives again as the national language of Israel fulfilling the prophetic promise of Zephaniah 3:9:

“For at that time I will change the speech of the peoples

to a pure speech,

that all of them may call upon the name of the LORD

and serve him with one accord."

As we've seen, some Christian Bible scholars used to say that Daniel was a forgery written "after the fact". Fortunately, in historic Biblical validation, at least eight (8) sets of the scrolls of Daniel have been found along the Dead Sea within the caves of Qumran in Israel since 1947. 

The Dead Sea scrolls were discovered as if by accident by two Bedouin shepherds, but it was no accident. Their names are Jum'a and Muhammed ed-Dib. They found them just as the Hebrew language was coming back to life again as promised by Zephaniah and at the same time the Jewish people were being restored back to the Promised Land to begin to prepare it for the return of Messiah. 

Those Qumran manuscripts destroyed the doubting words of the so-called scholars before the 1950's that had said the prophetic timelines of Daniel regarding the Prince and the Messiah to come was too accurate to be true, too precise to be written 500 years before Jesus the Jew walked and taught Torah every Sabbath in synagogues across the Promised Land. 

Before Qumran's discoveries directed by God's providence, the naysayers based their assumptions on deception from Eden (did God really say?). They claimed that Daniel could not have possibly known such precisely dated facts, but knowledge has increased. 

Guess what... the so-called scholars were are all proven dead wrong at the Dead Sea. 

Believe it or not, those scholars mistakenly gave weight to the mixture of Aramaic and Hebrew as their proof of forgery. 

They did not believe the timelines and some still doubt them. The so-called scholars did not understand the Gentile messages were reserved for the latter days of Babylon and Persia. They do not believe that the Hebrew portions teach us about the latter day message of promise for the Jewish people in Israel.

Thanks to a rock throwing Beduin, the shepherd boy's discoveries at the caves of Qumran proved that those scholars have all been found to be false prophets. 

Not only that, there are other witnesses that prove Daniel's writings were well-known long before the first century. Both 1st Maccabees (2:59) and Baruch (1:15-3:3) point to the scrolls of Daniel.

Believe it or not, Daniel's famous seven and 62 week prophecies gives the exact timing of the first coming of Prince Messiah after Ezra and Nehemiah restored the city long before Yeshua's first trip.

Not only that, the messenger from Heaven foretold the Legion's legs of iron destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. The sanctuary timeline was given to Daniel for a God reason. He did not come up with it and it was fulfilled precisely in the timeline given to Daniel:

"Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." Daniel 9:25-26

The streets, walls and sanctuary were all rebuilt by Herod.

As noted, the scrolls of Qumran show us Daniel's message was indeed not written in a common language, so we need to look into that a bit more. 

Aramaic is a little-understood language today,  it's actually ancient Chaldean, yet it survives today hidden in plain sight. 

Believe it or not, so do Chaldean people. Like the front of the Bible, the Chaldeans are not old and done away with either.

The largest Gentile group of people that still use the ancient language of Aramaic are based in Sweden of all places. There are Aramaean Syriac churches all across Sweden as a witness. Not only that, the Swedish Language Council notes that Sweden has one of the largest exile communities of Assyrian and Syriac Christians (also known as Chaldeans) with a population of around 100,000. 

Södertälje, which has the largest group of Assyrians, more than any other city in Europe, is home to 22,000 and some 40,000 live in Stockholm County. This website link provides a global population breakdown noting a total of 550,000 Assyrians live in Europe now with about the same number in the United States. 

The largest Assyrian-Chaldean diaspora communities today not only include Södertälje, Sweden but Chicago and our American motor city Detroit.

Before the discoveries of those scrolls at Qumran, it was thought that there were no Hebrew or Aramaic manuscripts of Daniel dated earlier than the late tenth-century A.D. Yet, the Dead Sea manuscripts, the remnant copies of Daniel's scrolls are very consistent with very few variations from what publishers have today. 

That is very good news and it means that we have solid proof of a faithful record of the prophetic visions and timelines revealed to Daniel over 25 centuries ago. 

So, let's get moving and consider more about the order of Daniel and those timelines. 

For reference, look at the chapter and verse numbering of the scrolls from our modern publishers. Chapter 9 is the focus of many prophecy students, so let's look at the historic date stamp given in Daniel 9:1:

"In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans"

Daniel chapter 7:1 has another, so let's look at the date stamp:

"In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, [and] told the sum of the matters."

Belshazzar was the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar. He was the last king of Babylon at the time of its fall to the Medes of Persia. Other sources for information on the reign of Belshazzar have been discovered in the Nabonidus Chronicle, the Cyrus Cylinder, and the Account of Nabonidus that was commissioned by the Persian king Cyrus the Great.

Daniel interpreted the writing on the wall for Belshazzar much like he interpreted his grandfather's dream many years earlier. The words appeared just as the Medes crossed the river with the goal to kill king Belshazzar. This momentous event is recorded in Daniel 5 as Nebuchadnezzar's dream of of the statute with the Babylonian head of gold shifted to the silver chest of the Medes of Persia and Darius the Mede took over.

If you have read Daniel... did you pay attention to the order?

Belshazzar was killed in chapter 5, but there he is again in chapter 7. 

How does that happen?

I believe the answer is chapters 5-7 is a Biblical chiasm that works like a flashback in movies. 

Let's take a closer look, besides his name in Daniel 7, Belshazzar is seen in: Daniel 5:1, Daniel 5:22 and Daniel 5:30 and finally in Daniel 8:1:

Daniel 5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

Daniel 5:22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Daniel 5:30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

Daniel 8:1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, [even unto] me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

Now, if we unroll the scroll to Daniel 9, we can check it out. There we find Darius the Mede as the scroll gives us the date stamp in the first verse. 

Darius was the king that took control of Babylon after Belshazzar was killed. 

I think Daniel put these names in his scrolls so that we could follow the story along a timeline tracking the order of future latter day events:

Conflict in the Middle East will start in Babylon, aka Iraq and then in Persia aka Iran.

Prophecy is a flashback forward, what goes around come around. This is important, Biblical history portrays the future of the Middle East where conflict repeats and unfolds.

Daniel tells us that Darius the Mede took over Babylon, verses include:

Daniel 6:1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Daniel 6:28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Daniel 11:1 Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, [even] I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

By the way, history tells us Cyrus the Persian ruled Babylon after Darius the Mede. 

Cyrus is a big deal, he's the king that released Israel from Babylon's stronghold.

Let's re-consider the flashback in Daniel since Belshazzar was "killed" in chapter 5, yet we see him "alive" in later chapters of Daniel. He's there in Daniel chapters 6, 7 and 8 as well as chapters 9 and 11. 

Each chapter speaks of Darius running the show in Babylon after Belshazzar's party was crashed. 

The prophetic message of this flashback is that events associated with Persia were important for Israel's liberation 2,500 years ago just as they are important again in Israel today as Persia (Iran) is in the background with the Haman goal to wipe them off the planet. 

What we need is an "increase of knowledge" in the latter days to understand why Daniel was given that a promise in Daniel 12:1-4.

How's this? The eyes of the world turned back to Babylon after 9/11. 

It may have a slightly different label today (Iraq), but the ancient sovereign nations that were front and center in Daniel's day returned to center stage after May 14, 1948. 

It's seems bizarre, but since the war in Iraq, the U.S. has built our largest, most expensive and heavily fortified embassy on the planet in Iraq along the Tigris River after the demise of Saddam Hussein. He was captured hiding in a hole in the ground. A few years later, he was hung on gallows much like Haman as he spoke these last words: "There is no God but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God..."

For knowledge to increase about the prophecies of Daniel and the latter days we are now in, as already noted we must focus on Daniel's prayer about Jerusalem. One way to do that is to understand history and re-think the abomination of desolation that both Daniel and Yeshua (Jesus) referred to.

Since knowledge has increased, we also have to reconsider the last empire of iron and clay feet in Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

These connections point us to the end-time-line of Jacob's conflict with Ishmael's wild donkey descendants when Messiah the Prince King returns to defeat the enemies of Israel and the evil dominion that drives them.

The prophecy you may have missed is that He will return not after a rapture ride, but when He is called on by the Jewish people:

"For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord." Matthew 23:39

Let's go back to the chiastic flash backs, because the order of Daniel can seem pretty confusing. 

For example, chapter 10 is a continuation of the ram goat vision noted in chapter 8 interrupted by chapter 9. The ram goat conflict set Daniel trembling on his hands and knees when one who "resembled a human" dressed in linen with a golden belt arrived in Persia. 

That was the twenty-fourth day of the first Biblical month of Nisan, 14 days after Passover and the messenger said this:

"I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet future.”

This Heavenly messenger sounds just like the messenger in John's revelation vision. 

In fact, the same thing happened to John at Patmos that happened to Daniel some 600 years earlier. 

When John saw him, like Daniel - he fell down at His feet like a dead man. 

My recommendation is to read Daniel 10 and Revelation 1 side by side and compare notes.

Notice Daniel chapter 10 speaks of king Cyrus, and there's not a word about Darius. It seems as if chapter 10 is out of order. Chapter 9 links to chapter 11 and chapter 10 points to a latter-day conflict involving "Persia" and "Greece" that is described in great detail in chapter 8 for good reason.

Not only that, chapter 12 provides a flashback to chapter 2 describing the end time iron and clay feet. 

Daniel writes: "a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued." Daniel 12:1

Who is "everyone" found written in the Torah and the Prophets?

The Jewish people.

Many miss it, but Paul alluded to this last rescue when he penned these words in Romans 11:26-27:

"And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."

Zechariah 14 provides details of the day of the return of the deliverer out of Zion.

Now, step back to the 1980s, Islam and its Shi'ite and Sunni iron and clay religious fractures became visible to the West along a revolutionary line that morphed into radical religious terrorism against Israel and the U.S. 

It first came to focus in 1979 when the revolution in Iran galvanized radical Islamists across the Middle East not only against Israel, the little Satan, but the nation they call the great Satan, America. 

'Throughout the 1980s and 1990's we all saw the headlines as Islamic radical militants with religious and geo-political global one-world domination Caliphate goals were revealed in terrorism. 

Before that time, thanks to the western media disinformation, militant jihad, like the Holocaust before it had for the most part gone unnoticed in America since 1917 when the Ottoman Empire fell, but we all now know it has been revived... knowledge has increased.

When we look at Daniel chapter 10, we see "Cyrus the Great" front and center. 

He was a righteous Gentile, a Persian ruler that was ordained by God to decree that the Jewish people could end their exile, return to Jerusalem and restore the city and the sanctuary. Cyrus is credited to have opened the door back to Jerusalem. 

His decree led to the rebuilding of the Temple and the walls of the city as both had been ransacked by Nebuchadnezzar's warriors. Other details of the account of Cyrus the Great are given in 2 Chronicles 36, Ezra 1:1-4 and Ezra 6:3 as well as the extra-Biblical Cyrus Cylinder.

Discovered in Iraq, aka Babylon, the Cyrus Cylinder is one of the best-known surviving texts from the Achaemenid Persian Empire and it connects the return of the Judean exiles and the rebuilding of  Jerusalem. The ancient cylinder contains 45 lines of cuneiform text written in Babylonian dialect. 

By reading Jeremiah's scroll, Daniel tells us he realized the timeline of the exile in chapter 10 and the end of 70 years of Judgment noted in Jeremiah 25 for the first exile that separated Judah from Jerusalem until the Cyrus of the nations stepped up.

Today, "The Quartet" and other U.N. mandates seek to divide Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria (aka God's land allotted land portion). The Quartet has forgotten that Jerusalem is a part of Judah's promised land and they have forgotten Cyrus The Great and Daniel.

The solution to conflict is at the end of the age. That was shown in Daniel chapter 12 "and at that time... then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age." (Daniel 12:13).

This promise tells us that the nations that will participate in an ancient plan to divide the Promised Land all have a big problem ahead according to the word of God given to other prophets and one by the name of Zechariah. 

Like Daniel, Zechariah was shown a glimpse of the end time battle over Jerusalem and the big problem for those that oppose God's one-state covenant solution:

The burden of the word of The LORD concerning a battle for Jerusalem: 

Thus declares The LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. 

It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.  Zechariah 12:1-3

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.  Zechariah 12:9 

It's critical to know that Daniel shows us that Cyrus was important and so is the number 70. In a few short years, Israel will celebrate its 70th modern anniversary. After that, we need to watch for the nations who seek to destroy or divide Judea and Jerusalem and we need to watch out for Persia and their proxies.

Today's incoming disaster includes a manmade measuring line in Jerusalem that does not align with the Torah or the historic boundary of the city that bears God's name.

We also need to know, the U.N. has drawn in an imaginary Green Line.

It's the center of religious and political debate that divides the city between the Muslim Quarter of East Jerusalem and Jewish West Jerusalem.

You can read more about the measuring line in Zechariah. It ties to the promise of the decree given to Daniel that is also seen in Chronicles.

Then the angel of the LORD said, “O LORD of hosts, how long will You have no compassion for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which You have been indignant these seventy years?” 

The LORD answered the angel who was speaking with me with gracious words, comforting words. So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, 

“Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion. But I am very angry with the nations who are at ease; for while I was only a little angry, they furthered the disaster.” 

Therefore thus says the LORD, “I will return to Jerusalem with compassion; My house will be built in it,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.” Zechariah 1:12-16

Regarding the timeline given to Daniel, it is forever tied to the compassion of Almighty God. His decree is noted by Zechariah and it contains the measuring line. This measuring line is also a time line that points to Messiah's return as King. Daniel 9:26 links these words as the base line of the redemption decree that counts, not that of Cyrus although he is a part of the big picture. 

Daniel writes:

"Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off..."

Cyrus' decree isn't the only one to focus on although everyone seems to think so. Cyrus is a big deal in the Bible, yet he's only a base runner for THE ONE at bat ready to hit the grand slam.

It is God's decree that scores on Daniel's timeline on Messiah's Passover trial and it's Artaxerxes decree that marks the beginning of Yeshua's ministry. 

Cyrus deserves much credit, he showered great favor on the Jewish people and he played a big part ending the Babylon exile from Jerusalem after 70 years. He's so important that believe it or not, Isaiah wrote of Cyrus by name at least 150 years before Cyrus the Great was born.

Earlier, we noted that Biblical prophecy is dimensional and repeats in chaistic cycles much like as history repeats like a flashback. In keeping with the creation timeline, prophetic cycles often run in sevens, so Daniel was given the message about seventy sevens (70 Shemittah) that can be pretty hard to follow with Greek glasses on.

Bottomline, the order of Daniel can be confusing if we ignore God's commands which include the Shemittah and the Jubilee. Not only that, the order of the Christian canon of the Bible we read today causes confusion because it does not align with the order of the Hebrew Scriptures Yeshua read and taught each Sabbath (see Luke 4:16).

Daniel's countdown to Messiah's first trip to the planet is confusing because we tend to rely on the decrees of a men, not the Almighty Elohim God of Israel. The Creator's timeline was given to Daniel, and it can be missed due to the order of Biblical canon adopted by the church. 

To understand, we have to rely on the Hebrew Bible Jesus read every Sabbath. The order of the Bible Jesus taught is the same order of the Bible the Jewish people have remained faithful to every Sabbath for thousands of years since the days of Ezra.

That should make sense, after all Jesus is a Jew.

The record of the book of Luke tells us it was Yeshua's "custom" to attend synagogue every Sabbath. 

In the order of the Bible Jesus read and taught each Sabbath, the scroll of Chronicles was located at the end of the Hebrew Scriptures, not Malachi. Not only that, the order of the last three scrolls of the Hebrew Bible includes the book of Daniel. The order of the Hebrew Bible, aka the Tanach wraps up like this for good reason:

1. Daniel
2. Ezra-Nehemiah
3. Chronicles

There's a good reason for this, a God gospel reason, so you don't miss it. These books, when read in proper order point toward the time line and the family line of Messiah - so let's take a look at that first trip.

Chronicles is now divided into two books. It starts out by "chronicling" the Bible's storyline in the order of occurrence with a long list of important Biblical genealogies to boot. That list is summarized in an outline of three sets of 14 Biblical generations listed in Matthew 1.

Like Matthew's name order, the family line listed in Chronicles gives us all hope, whether Jew or Gentile in God’s eternal promise given to David by Nathan for a king, for Jerusalem, a restored Israel and a House of people that seek Almighty God. 

Nathan gave his prophecies long "before" David had triumphed over the Philistines and that fact alone is prophetic of Messiah's second coming in defense of Israel from today's Philistines, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 

We now call them Hamas and Hezbollah.

Prophecy repeats, and their descendants are still in the battle over the land promise to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob descendants and their sojourners in faith. Genesis 17:20 tells us that the descendants of Ishmael were named as twelve princes, a great nation. Genesis 25:16 repeats this. They are named according to the generations in Genesis 25:13-15:

Nebajoth, Kedar, Adbeel and Mibsam,

Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadar

Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah

Nebajoth was the firstborn. His name means "heights." His descendants were the Nabateans. Their capital was Petra in modern day Jordan. They carved out those famous sandstone rock cliffs along the valley of the mountains now called Jabal Al-Madbah in southern Jordan. Jabal Al-Madbah means "mountain of the altar." Petra resides in the valley called Wadi Musa, meaning "valley of Moses."

The armies of Israel with Moses in the lead had four key battles during their 40-year exodus from Egypt journey. They fought and won each of them against the Amalekites, Canaanites, the Amorites and Bashan and finally the Midianites. Afterward, Joshua led the armies of Israel in battle in the land of promise for those that lived in false-idol paganism polluted the land. 

Consider this fact about that: in the two generations following 1948, Israel was been attacked by an Arab League confederacy, most notably three times in 1948, 1967 and 1973. Many believe the fourth final battle described in prophecy will the last generation of the descendants of Ishmael that refuse to honor Jacob's family, but instead attack.

There's a last generation listed in Psalm 83. They are called the tabernacles of Edom, the Ishmaelites and Moab. They include the Hagarenes, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek and the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre and Assur.

In the end they will consult together with one consent, they will confederate against God's covenant land promise. 

Today, we can see this prophecy in the headlines as radical Ishmaelites of Islam surround tiny Israel and fire rocket of mayhem at the tiny Israeli civilian communities. The Ishmaeilites are still troubled over the land grant. Take note too that Bashan is still a big problem. 

Bashan is located in the land of king Og and he lost his first confederate battle with Moses there. Today, we call the land of king Og the Golan Heights. There's good reason for that name, Golan was the capital of Bashan.

Let's do our own flashback and return to Nathan's words given to David. They provide the Messianic promise about the end-time Kingdom prophecy:

"When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. 

He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 

I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me..." 2 Samuel 7:12-14 

"Your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever.” 

In accordance with all these words and all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. 2 Samuel 7:17 

The end time battle, Messiah will mirror the battle of Moses seen in the beginning of the Exodus, and the conflict will once again be about the land and people that seek to follow the God of Israel and no other false idol. You can read about some of those battles here:

• 2 Kings 3 Israel and Judah vs Moab. Moab lost.
• 2 Kings 14 Judah vs Edom. Edom lost.
• 2 Kings 18 Judah vs Philistines, Philistines lost.
• 2 Chronicles 20 Judah vs Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites. Judah won.
• 2 Chronicles 26 Judah vs Philistines, Meunites, Ammonites. Judah Won.

There's another battle raging today and it's reported in advance in the Bible.

Long before "the church" decided to reorder the canon of the Hebrew Bible (Tanach), many Christians unwittingly began to believe in a lie called Replacement Theology. That bad sermon says that the front of the book of life is old and done away with. For that reason and others, the heritage of the Messiah of Israel, Jesus the Jew has been hidden from Judah unwittingly by none other than the church that has turned its back on the Sabbath and Feasts of The LORD honored by the Jewish people over the ages. 

Not only that, pulpits don't connect Matthew to Chronicles. As we have seen, Chronicles is the last book of the Tanach, and in proper order, it is the last book before the record of Matthew. The conclusion of the book of Chronicles is laser focused on David's future successor and God’s covenant promise that Messiah King will come. 

That is why the book of Chronicles is still the perfect fit flowing straight into Matthew's list because the lineage of the people named in Chronicles point us to the Messianic promise given to David that was delivered by Nathan for the everlasting King to come.

Nathan revealed the same promise of the one that is seen in Genesis 3:15 and Genesis 22:18 that would come through David's family line of Judah. When you read the last portion of the scroll in 2Chronicles 36 you’ll even see a connection to the timeline of the 70 year exile because the Shemittah (7th year) rest of the land was not honored. The Babylonians were used by God Almighty:

Then they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its fortified buildings with fire and destroyed all its valuable articles. Those who had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and to his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia, to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths. 

All the days of its desolation it kept sabbath until seventy years were complete. 2 Chronicles 36:19-21

Chronicles also points to Jeremiah 25:1-14 and these are the words that Daniel believed:

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:   

“For twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken persistently to you, but you have not listened.  You have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the LORD persistently sent to you all his servants the prophets,  saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever.   

Do not go after other gods to serve and worship them, or provoke me to anger with the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’  Yet you have not listened to me, declares the LORD, that you might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm. 

“Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: Because you have not obeyed my words,  behold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the LORD, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. 

I will devote them to destruction, and make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp.   

This whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.   

Then after seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, declares the LORD, making the land an everlasting waste.   

I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written in this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. For many nations and great kings shall make slaves even of them, and I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

The 70 years of exile from the land were complete, and this is tied to the timing of Israel’s 490 year history from king David's reign up to their exile to Babylon. The Babylonian exile lasted 70 years, one year for each dishonored Deuteronomy 15 Shemittah year (70 x 7= 490). So, the God of the Universe had a Gentile make a decree for a restoration to occur in Jerusalem at the end of the 70 years. 

Not only that, Messiah's first arrival as humble, suffering servant would be marked by the announcement of a prophecy from Isaiah fulfilled by none other than Yeshua of Nazareth in a Capernaum synagogue on a Sabbath. 

If you have not read it, check out Luke 4 and you will see the Sabbath reading of Isaiah and the Sabbath synagogue proclamation of the favorable year of The Lord.

OK, it's time to get back to the gentile king Cyrus because his famous proclamation was stirred by God's Spirit of love for the Jewish people and it's recorded in Chronicles too:

"Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing: 

“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may the LORD his God be with him. Let him go up.’” 2 Chronicles 36:22-23

As noted earlier, if we dig in and study we can see it's not only Cyrus that connects Daniel's timeline for the final arrival of Messiah. 

When we look closely, it is the voice of Almighty Elohim, the God of Israel that triggered the prophetic timeline given to Daniel and we will find that proclamation in Zechariah.

Here it is:

"Therefore thus says the LORD, 'I will return to Jerusalem with compassion; My house will be built in it,' declares the LORD of hosts, 'and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.'” Zechariah 1:16

Open Daniel 9 and as you read it, imagine that you see Daniel facing Jerusalem, kneeling and praying in Babylon after reading the scroll of Jeremiah revealing the end of the 70-year exile. While praying, a messenger of God appears to Daniel and explains the Shemittah count of Jeremiah that is connected to disobedience.

"I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem..."

"Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing.

And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. 

Desolations are decreed." Daniel 9:25-26

Daniel was told there are a series of Shemittah weeks before the Messiah of the Kingdom of God was to come and be cut off at the cross. Daniel was also told that Jerusalem will see destruction again and that Judah will go into dispersion once again, and that during that time desolations are decreed.

Desolations will last until Messiah's return and the redemption of all Israel when the Messiah of Israel returns as King to battle, to remove the abomination of desolation and restore the House of Prayer for all nations in Jerusalem.

Why two trips for Messiah?

Prophecy cycles and one answer to this great mystery can be seen in king David and Absalom's storyline described in the book of Samuel that many have missed. It goes like this: King David fled Jerusalem when Absalom was chosen by others just as in another conspiracy when darkened hearts chose Barabbas instead of Yeshua as described in Matthew 27. 

OPEN your eyes, David CAME BACK. 

He returned and was restored as king and so will Yeshua. The King of the Jews is coming back just like David!

Another picture that points to the two trips is the fact that Moses ascended and descended from Mount Sinai with God's covenant twice. The covenant was written in stone in God's own handwriting. The fact is Yeshua ascended the Mount of Olives, and like David, Yeshua faced his conspirator Judas there with the Roman soldiers just as David had faced Shimei, the son of Gera:

And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. 2Samuel 2:4

And David knew that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel. 2Samuel 5:12 

But Absalom sent secret messengers throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, then say, ‘Absalom is king at Hebron!’” 

With Absalom went two hundred men from Jerusalem who were invited guests, and they went in their innocence and knew nothing. And while Absalom was offering the sacrifices, he sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city Giloh. 

And the conspiracy grew strong, and the people with Absalom kept increasing. And a messenger came to David, saying, “The hearts of the men of Israel have gone after Absalom.” 

Then David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, “Arise, and let us flee, or else there will be no escape for us from Absalom. Go quickly, lest he overtake us quickly and bring down ruin on us and strike the city with the edge of the sword. 2Samuel 15:10-14

When King David came to Bahurim, there also came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera, and as he came he cursed continually. And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David, and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. And Shimei said as he cursed, “Get out, get out, you man of blood, you worthless man! 2Samuel 16:5-7 

And behold, the Cushite came, and the Cushite said, “Good news for my lord the king! For the LORD has delivered you this day from the hand of all who rose up against you.” 

The king said to the Cushite, “Is it well with the young man Absalom?” And the Cushite answered, “May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up against you for evil be like that young man.” And the king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept. And as he went, he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!” 2 Samuel 18:31-33

Now Israel had fled every man to his own home. 

And all the people were arguing throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies and saved us from the hand of the Philistines, and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom. But Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?” 

And King David sent this message to Zadok and Abiathar the priests: “Say to the elders of Judah, ‘Why should you be the last to bring the king back to his house, when the word of all Israel has come to the king? 

You are my brothers; you are my bone and my flesh. Why then should you be the last to bring back the king?’ And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me and more also, if you are not commander of my army from now on in place of Joab.’” 

And he swayed the heart of all the men of Judah as one man, so that they sent word to the king, “Return, both you and all your servants.” So the king came back to the Jordan, and Judah came to Gilgal to meet the king and to bring the king over the Jordan.

And Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite, from Bahurim, hurried to come down with the men of Judah to meet King David. And with him were a thousand men from Benjamin. And Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, with his fifteen sons and his twenty servants, rushed down to the Jordan before the king, and they crossed the ford to bring over the king’s household and to do his pleasure. 

And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was about to cross the Jordan, and said to the king, “Let not my lord hold me guilty or remember how your servant did wrong on the day my lord the king left Jerusalem. Do not let the king take it to heart. 2Samuel 19:8-18

Not only did Yeshua come from the family line of David, Yeshua began to fulfill the fallen tabernacle prophecy of Amos with His resurrection that will be complete on His return after his priestly service as David said in Psalms 110 and explained in the book of Hebrews. 

The promise to Amos is:

"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins..." Amos 9:11

If you don't think that God uses the word tabernacle to represent people, think back to what you may have already seen. Remember and read Psalm 83. It describes the tabernacle of Moab, and that tabernacle of Moab is - its people.

When we make the connection with the trial led by Ponitus Pilate, when Barabbas was chosen to live in place of Jesus the Jew, we see a fallen tabernacle of people that will be restored to life just as Yeshua was resurrected. Today, Jewish people are restored, they have returned to the Promised Land and many more are coming each day. There is a good reason, Almighty God chose them to prepare it, to make it ready for the Messiah, the lion of the tribe of Judah.

Daniel's prayer is unfolding before our eyes and it started with the restoration of the land of Israel in 1948 and it expanded with the restoration of Jerusalem in 1967. 

Yet, the Temple Mount remains desolate of prayer to the God of Israel because of the Al-Aksa mosque of the modern Ismaelites there today as well as the Dome of the Rock, but their allotted time of gentile rule ended in 1967 and the continued time of their desolation of prayer and foot trampling is running out:

“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. 

Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. 

O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. 

O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! 

Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.” Daniel 9:16-19

The rejection of the Jewish Messiah King Yeshua will soon end too, it's almost time for Messiah to return, O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act!

Daniel was honored with this great promise, but there's trouble to come before His return for the Jewish people described in the book (Bible), that's not been seen since the modern nation of Israel was declared in 1948:

“At that time Michael shall stand up,
​​The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
​​And there shall be a time of trouble,
​​Such as never was since there was a nation,
​​Even to that time. 

​​And at that time your people shall be delivered,
​​Every one who is found written in the book. 

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
​​Some to everlasting life,
​​Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine
​​Like the brightness of the firmament,
​​And those who turn many to righteousness
​​Like the stars forever and ever.
​
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. Daniel 12:1-4

In regard to Messiah's promised return, knowledge of The LORD must increase and we have to know Israel was restored as a latter day nation in 1948 because God's word is powerful and unchanging as it reveals the cycle of prophecy in advance.

There's a lot more to the order of Daniel', so let's go back to Daniel's scroll and ask, why is Darius mentioned in chapter 11?

Shouldn't Cyrus the Great appear on the scene as leader after Darius the Mede? Perhaps there's something going on in the chronology of the chapters that might tie to future events.

Let's look at chapter 10:

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing [was] true, but the time appointed [was] long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. Daniel 10:1

Due to a cycle of prophetic flashbacks, Daniel's chapters seem to be a bit out of order if we use the names of the kings and rulers of Babylon, (today's Iraq) as our time sequence markers... but we can learn if we realign history with the flashback storyline and the names given by Daniel. 

Remember too, the chapter and verse numbers don't exist in the original scrolls of Daniel. 

If we review carefully, this might help us "unseal" the end-time message in the scroll which is about the return of Messiah the Prince, not just the first trip. Let's take a look to see where the scroll found at Qumran (Daniel chapter 12) might fit into Daniel's prophetic storyline of the end time days...

Daniel chapter 10 is synced with the Persian King Cyrus and the end of 10th chapter speaks of Michael  "who is like God" your prince. You must know that Michael, or Miyka'el means "who is like God." Here we see that the messenger "who is like God" gives Daniel the promise of a prophetic latter-day rescue for Israel as Persia (Iran) threatens  their survival directly and with their proxies:

"Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. 

But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and [there is] none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince." Daniel 10:20-21

Before we unroll the scroll on to chapter 12, take a minute to think about what Daniel heard as the messenger Gabriel is speaking of the "one" that helps him, the "great prince" who is "like" God. 

Hebrew names are important in understanding the Bible and since "Michael" literally means "who is like God". The great prince "who is like God" is the FOCUS of Daniel's message.

If you someone asked you today… "who is like God", what would be the name you would give?

Think about that, what's your answer... would it be Yeshua the Messiah who kept, taught and fulfilled the commandments of God? 

"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17 NASB95

That name Michael is a big Biblical clue, a shadow picture of son of man Messiah "who is like God" because He walked 100% observant to God's Torah, that's why He was sinless, He never broke Torah and lived in God's image as it was ordained from the beginning for man. 

Now, if you look logically, you will notice chapter 11 and 12 continues in the theme regarding Michael ("who is like God") when it states a promise on His return:

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:1-2

This is the same resurrection hope of being born again that Yeshua explained to the Pharisee Nicodemus (see John 3:1-21) and its the same promise that is found in the book of Revelation 20:6.

Daniel 11 and Daniel 12 tells us that a king of the north (likely Shia: Iran, Syria and Turkey) will clash with the king of the south (likely Sunni Arabia) and make a move to desecrate Jerusalem and the Temple Mount for the last time in the last cycle of prophecy before Messiah returns to defend Israel.

This looks like a virtual re-run of Antiochus' battles with the Maccabees and the desolation brought on Jerusalem during the 637 AD siege of Jerusalem that was part of the conflict between the Byzantine Empire and the Rashidun Caliphate that ended when Caliph Umar traveled to Jerusalem to take the city.

The kingdoms of the north are shown as a conflagration of religious ideals described in Daniel 11 as... "kings shall arise in Persia." This can be seen today as the Islamic Middle East is divided between a northern Shi’ite kingdom and a Sunni kingdom in the south with tiny Israel wedged in at the Mediterranean Sea.

Islam is divided and splinted today exactly as Daniel described. 

Their feet with toes of iron and clay do not mix. 

This points to the Muslim mixture of Shi'ite and Sunni over vastly different interpretations and aspirations for an Islamic led world. At the epicenter of their conflict is an end-game objective for religious and government ideologies to be revived in a Caliphate under the rule of Sharia law with the stated Shi'ite end goal to wipe the Jewish people off their map that does not seem to be held by all Sunni, but it may be hidden in Taqiyya which allows deception as a method of self-preservation and protection in hostile environments. 

Islam is divided and every kingdom that will be divided against itself shall not stand. That looks to be the end-time meaning of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream:

"And as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom, but some of the firmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle. As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay." Daniel 2:41-43

The divided kingdom destruction was verified by Yeshua:

"If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. "If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. "If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!" Mark 3:24-26

"Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? " ‘Matthew 12:25-26

Today's north-south split among Ishmael's remnant is led by a Sunni Arab majority and a Shi'ite Persian minority. Iran and its proxies aggressively declare and seek Israel's destruction, their proxies include Hamas in Gaza as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon as well as other jihadist terror groups funded by Iran.

Of the total Muslim population in the Middle East today, about 15% are Persian Shi'ite and 85% Arab Sunni. So, let's look again at the vision of Daniel: "Then the king of the south, moved with rage, shall come out and fight against the king of the north." 

This looks to be a potential battle brewing in Islam.

Now check this out from Daniel 11:30 because it includes a cruiser navy with the code name Kittim. 

This Kittim is first seen in Genesis 10:4 as the great grandson of Noah: "The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim."

"Javan" means Greece, "Kittim" means bruisers. Kittim aka the "bruisers" will be brought front and center into conflict and it will serve the holy land covenant given to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the land possession to prepare it for Messiah. 

Satan wants to prevent this:

"For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant."

Did you notice the holy covenant? 

Again, this was nothing new for Daniel. He knew the Torah and that means he also knew the prophecy about this end-time conflict first described by Moses in Numbers 24:24 revealed in Balaam's prophecy over Israel:

“Alas, who shall live when God does this?
But ships shall come from Kittim
and shall afflict Asshur and Eber;
and he too shall come to utter destruction.”

Asshur was the grandson of Noah's son Shem, the ancestor of the Assyrians. The divided kingdom of toes ties back to Eber's son Peleg:

"To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan." Genesis 10:25

Here's the thing: ships need a sea to go to battle and today, the most contentious sea on the planet is the Persian Gulf where America is ready to arrive at any time with massive ships at sea... and don't forget there's that prophecy: "knowledge shall increase."

Like I said, that increase in knowledge is not just modern information or data, it's not artificial intelligence down the road, it's about understanding the Torah and the prophets. Both point to Messiah and the conflict to come. Both are coming into focus since 1948. 

Conflict was redirected north to Shi'ite Iran in 1979 when the Iranian Revolution put the radical Ayatollahs in charge. Iran shifted from ally to enemy in opposition to Israel and America.

As noted, many confuse the covenant Daniel wrote about, but we need to remember it is called the holy covenant for a reason. The covenant with Abraham and set apart the Holy Land for the children of God whether native born or adopted.

The book of Daniel quotes ancient prophecy in reference to the ships of Kittim in the latter days. This too is nothing new, it comes from the third prophetic oracle of Balaam in the book of Exodus. It was given when Balaam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel encamped in safety. He was there because Balak has summoned him.

The name "Balak" translates as devastator, he was the king of Moab (a descendant of Lot's incest) he hired Balaam to curse Israel, but Balaam told king Balak that he can only declare what Y-H-V-H has told him to say, nothing more and nothing less.

The Spirit of Elohim came upon him, and he said this to Balak:

"Come, I will let you know what this people will do to your people in the latter days.”
Numbers 24:14

“Alas, who shall live when Elohim does this? 

But ships shall come from Kittim
and shall afflict Asshur and Eber;
and he too shall come to utter destruction.” Numbers 24:24

Asshur became Assyria. 

The ships from Kittim will afflict damage and today's Asshur and Eber.

Asshur and Eber are still known as the location of Ishmael's descendants. The Shi'ite of Iran and northern Iraq is the northern place where their leaders live in aggression against the souther Sunni Arab people of Saudi Arabia and the camp of Israel.

You've seen the Hebrew word כִּתִּים Kittim translates as "bruisers." 

Is it a coincidence that during his deployment in Iraq (Babyon) in 2006, that the nickname of US Navy SEAL Team 3 in the famous Battle of Ramadi (the center of the insurgency in Iraq) was known as "Task Unit Bruiser"?

Most agree we are living in the latter days, so let's pay attention...

It was only a few years ago in 2003, when the Iraq war, also called the Second "Persian Gulf" War, broke out as an armed conflict with the invasion of Iraq by a U.S. led coalition that overthrew the Saddam Hussein and devastated the country under the guise of weapons of mass destruction.

Many of Hussein's loyalist troops withdrew leaving Saddam Hussein bruised and beaten as insurgents went into hiding, waiting to emerge when the dust cleared.

When the U.S. and British militaries brought their coalition across the sea they poured into to Iraq. 

It was just two years after 9/11 when everyone was driven by the fake facts from Washington about weapons of mass destruction, yet oddly the coalition troops were just a fraction of the number deployed in 1991, but why so few?

There is a big reason, this time Kittim if you will, relied on overwhelming military technology from the "realm of Greece" and Iraq fell fast. 

Saddam Hussein tried to restore Babylon but he died in a Haman-like hanging. 

It's as if the Daniel 2 prophecy of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar was another nightmare. 

The golden head had fallen again. Iraq, aka Babylon had fallen in two Gulf Wars. According to  Nebuchadnezzar's dream, the silver chest, the Persians aka Iran are next.

Today, the Shi’ite leaders of Iran are leading a powerful Islamic nation that boasts of nothing but terror and tribulation for Israel fulfilling the prophecy of a stubborn donkey-like aggression of the tribes of Ishmael's descendants (see Genesis 16:12). 

Jihadist aggression is led by Iran with their proxies in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon. 

Lebanon was a beautiful peaceful nation. It was a popular vacation spot until 1958 when civil war broke out and the U.S. sent the Marines in at Lebanon's request to help secure peace.

Things calmed down for 25 years then the Marines returned along with peace-keeping troops from France, Italy and the United Kingdom. 

Peace ended on Sunday October 23, 1983.

Lebanon had been infiltrated by Hezbollah as a militant proxy funded by Iran. Their martyr maniacs drove an explosive filled truck into Marine barracks and destroyed 241 U.S service personnel. Another truck rove into the French barracks and killed 58 soldiers from France. 

Since the Iranian revolution in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been led by two Supreme Leaders, two Grand Ayatollahs. They are both like Balak. 

Their names are Ali Khamenei and his predecessor was Ruhollah Khomeini.

Iran's supreme leader is the highest ranking political and religious authority and he leads the armed forces including Iran's military, the Revolutionary Guards with its clandestine operation Quds Force Division, both led since 1998 by one evil General who carries out the goals of Balak. His name is Qassem Soleimani.

The Grand Ayatollah also runs Iran's navy in the Persian Gulf. 

Not only that, the Iranian judicial system, education and media are all under the Supreme Leader's control. In Iran, only the Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah, like the Persian king Balak of the north can declare war or peace. 

The Grand Ayatollah's authority is the same as old king Balak's.

Daniel 11:2 states: "And now I will tell you the truth. Behold, three more kings are going to arise in Persia. Then a fourth will gain far more riches than all of them; as soon as he becomes strong through his riches, he will arouse the whole empire against the realm of Greece."

Sounds like a plot in the headlines doesn't it?

I do not know if that will be another Ayatollah, but I do think Daniel points to today's events. 

If this speaks of Iran's leaders, they fit the Balak bill in Daniel's prophecy that points toward the final fierce ruler that will take action destroy Israel, not just curse them.

Ruhollah Khomeini and Saddam Hussein are no longer with us. Shi'ite Supreme aka Ali Khamenei has led Iran since 1989, and his tenure is naturally approaching its latter days. After all, he will turn 70 in 2008 in just six months, so here's my question: 

Is there just one more Supreme Leader to take charge in Iran before the words of Daniel 11:3 ring true - - "he will rule with great authority and do as he pleases"?

Could "doing as he pleases" include not only supporting proxies to divert attention while he seeks the means of obtaining the globally feared weapon of mass destruction aka nuclear weapon capabilities in Iran?

Looking south, there's a Sunni Islamic coalition.

It is led by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies include Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman and Tunisia. 

Take note, these are the opposite of Iran today, they are allies of the West and they all oppose Shi'ite Iran. Two of them currently have peace treaties with Israel: Egypt and Jordan.

Will we see more Arab peace treaties with Israel, the most powerful military in the Mid East? 

I don't know, but the leader of Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations are real kings just as Daniel declares. They are not elected officials, it's tribal rule.

In Saudi Arabia, the "king" rules and his family includes a number of Saudi "princes" that track just like the words we find in Daniel 11:5: 

“Then the king of the south shall be strong, but one of his princes shall be stronger than he and shall rule, and his authority shall be a great authority."

It seems that a new Saudi prince will arise in power in Arabia.

So keep your eyes open for that. Meanwhile, tiny little Israel, the glorious, beautiful land stands alone by the sea with the IDF and the powerful combat air force right in the middle of this ten-toe Shi'ite-Sunni religious chaos. 

Israel's military is supported by the U.S. like a spear tip against Iran and the Arab coalition knows it. 

Israel is the vortex separating those that follow the God of Israel wedged against the latter day beast. The toes of Sunni and Shia descendants:

“At the time of the end, the king of the South shall attack him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. 

And he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through. He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites." Daniel 11:40-41

An end-day battle looks to be is on the horizon for Israel.

If we believe Daniel and simply read the headlines we can see it, but don't lose heart, Michael will stand up and contend for Israel:

"Again one having the appearance of a man touched me and strengthened me. And he said, “O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come. 

But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except Michael, your prince. Daniel 10:18-21

After that there's a glorious end-time delivery, resurrection and restoration to righteousness promised by Daniel:

"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." Daniel 12:2-3

Many say the big Mid-East conflict today is all about setting up a Palestinian State. 

It's MUCH bigger than that.

The book of Daniel points to another, a Persian leopard bear, leopard, lion beast (Iran, Syria, Iraq and those that side with them). 

To link the narrative of Daniel 12 to today's Mid-East conflict of Sunni vs Shi'ite with Israel in the vortex, we must go back to Daniel 10 to order the message of "the Prince" to come that is promised in the son of man vision and interpretation established in Daniel 7.

Daniel 7 provides the same God gospel that was preached 500 years later all across the Galilee by Yeshua.

Take note too, Daniel is famous for being told that understanding the end times will come around, "knowledge shall increase" and it is. 

In today's North-South conflict of Persian Shiite vs. Arab Sunni, we can see that Daniel's end time message is built purposefully comparing one king to another in chapter 10 and chapter 12. 

So, as noted, it's important to not just read Daniel, but we have to study it in order with history as it's validation because history unseals the Biblical story and timelines given to Daniel. 

Daniel did not come up with them, they were a gift from heaven. 

We have to read Daniel as it was intended, as a whole scroll to follow the storyline of the people and latter day events that were revealed to Daniel.

That's why he was told to seal up the vision of the evenings and the mornings and seal the scroll about the time of: "the great prince who has charge of your people: and the "time of trouble" until that time "when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished."

Because of his faithfulness, prayer and study, Daniel was given the time line to the end of the exile of Judah in Babylon by Jeremiah.

But greater than that, he was given the countdown of Shemittah "week years" to Messiah's first trip as an anointed life offering and resurrection in the Spring Feasts "before" the destruction of the Temple sanctuary in Jerusalem. 

Look closely and you will find the prophetic cycles given to Daniel include key clues to Messiah's return to defend Israel against the latter day beast and establish the everlasting Kingdom while fulfilling Daniel's own name ("God is my judge"). 

Yet, as we see in Daniel 12, the man in exile named Daniel was told when all things would be finished, that outcome was reserved for "the time of the end." And Daniel was promised his words would receive an allotted place to stand in the latter days when knowledge increases.

These critical time lines may be called the days of Daniel, but we must know they are the days Of God leading up to the promised Kingdom and Messiah in the end. 

Prophecy is backed by history and what God has promised will occur as certain as if it has already. 

The end is declared from the beginning.

The famous timelines include: a season and a time (Daniel 7:12), 69 weeks (Daniel 9:24-26), the 70 weeks (Daniel 9:27), "the time, times, and half a time" (Daniel 12:7), the 1290 days (Daniel 12:11) and the 1335 days (Daniel 12:12). 

If you ask me there's something seen in Jerusalem today that ties these together. 

Daniel was given a glimpse of time markers leading up to the latter days fourth beast conflict we know as the great tribulation before Messiah's return in glory noted in Luke 13:35. In order to call on Yeshua as savior, Israel will have to have knowledge of Him.

There's a connection with Daniel 10 in Yeshua's message in Luke 13:25: "I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come."

When we read Daniel 12, we can see the Persia prophecy links future events to the latter day end-time trouble noted by none other than Balaam. You have to remember Baalam, he's the the guy with the talking donkey.

Balaam's end time story appears in the beginning of the exodus journey to the Promised Land. It's found in Numbers 22-24. 

Deuteronomy 23:4 reexamines Balaam's story and the Torah reveals that Balaam was from the city of Pethor of Mesopotamia aka Persia, modern day Iran!!  

Baalam was hired to curse Israel by evil king Balak, but he couldn't do it, God would not allow it, it wasn't time. 

That's the end day story from the beginning.

Some scholars think that Pethor is the Asyrian city of Pitru, the home of Assyrian king Shalmaneser II. 

You should remember him too, he attacked and dispersed the ten lost tribes of the northern Kingdom of Israel.

In his day, Balaam gave oracles about Israel that God revealed to him. He was a pagan Gentile, yet God used Him to declare the end of the latter days. 

Don't be confused, the latter days ate NOT the end of time or the destruction of planet earth.

The latter days are the end of chaos, cursing and desolation on earth and Jerusalem ssas we know it.

Before his last oracle was pronounced, Baalam told king Balak: 

"Come, I will let you know what this people will do to your people in the latter days."

Balak's goal to curse Israel is tied to the end, so are his people. Balaam describes the same vision Daniel wrote about a thousand years later while in exile in Iraq. That vision reveals that Israel will engage with Balak's nations in the end. 

Daniel also reveals a gentile nation that would be a friend, an ally from the West aka "the ships of Kittim."

Today, there are a few, if any nations that seek to protect Israel more than the United States while the nation from the East curses and still seeks to destroy Israel. 

That nation is Persia, aka Shi'ite Iran. 

The Ayatollah aka the Assyrian, is the principle terrorist on this planet. He seeks nuclear weapons to accomplish their dark agenda to destroy what they call the "little satan" and the "great satan" as well. 

Balaam told old king Balak what would happen. 

Daniel saw waht may be a tribulation battle of an old ram and a goat. Not only that Daniel 8 gives details on Balaam's oracle in Numbers 24 that may sets out the time of tribulation. Daniel also mentions the ships of Kittim. By the way Kittim means "bruisers":

“Alas, who shall live when God does this?
But ships shall come from Kittim
and shall afflict Asshur and Eber;
and he too shall come to utter destruction.” 

At the end, in the time of the advent of the star, and scepter,
All of Israel’s enemies will be utterly destroyed
in a time of tribulation so terrible, Balaam cried out...

What's the end-game? 

Israel’s enemies will be utterly destroyed, but there will be birth pangs for everone leading up to final Redemption. 

We are almost there, the stage looks to be setting up.

Did you notice Eber's name in Numbers 24:24? Eber first appears in the genealogy of Shem in Genesis 11:14-17. Some scholars have identified Eber with the inhabitants of Mesopotamia, in the neighborhood of Assyria, the country beyond the Euphrates. 

This name shows us how God declares things not yet done in advance. God used Balaam to declare the end from the beginning, just as Isaiah 46:10 promises.

Declaring the end from the beginning meets the very definition of prophetic cycle. That's how prophecy works, just as the world turns, so do its seasons.

Tracking Balaam's prophecy, Daniel portrays the days that mark tribulation events at the time of the end of the final aggression against Israel and the return of Messiah to the returning exiles of Judah from around the globe. 

The Promised Land end of exile time marker is May 14, 1948. It draws the time line for the land to be prepared by the Jewish people for Messiah's return. 

That's what Daniel's timelines are all about, the Messiah Prince, first and second trip.

As you've seen, it well worth repeating... Daniel's scroll tells us that Michael, in Hebrew "Who is like God" will return to Jerusalem to defend the Jewish people in the land of covenant promise given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants. 

That defense will make the day Jesus whipped and tossed the money changers out of the Temple look like a handshake and a hug.

And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. John 2:15

Don't make a mistake about the day on the horizon, Yeshua is the deliverer and He was and is zealous for Zion!!

Those men short selling at the Temple were a den of robbers defiling the court. 

That court was the court of the Gentiles. 

We can know because that's the only spot that the moneychangers were allowed. They could never go beyond the Gentile court because it would be a defilement of The Temple, but according the Jesus, the Gentile court was holy too. Jesus knew Isaiah's promise, so He cleaned the house of prayer for all nations and He will do it again because The LORD says: "my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:7

We must know Daniel's children of thy people prophecy speaks of the Jewish people because Daniel was a Jew and the family tribes taken to Babylon were Judah, Benjamin and Levi. 

The other tribes of the Northern Kingdom were already captured and taken away 200 years earlier by the Assyrians.

Millions of Jewish families have now returned to Israel, yet Asshur and Eber (Assyria-Iran) still threatens to wipe them off the map, push them into the sea and then destroy their friend America, yet the evil men who promote this crime are the ones who will get their clocks cleaned in the end. 

Balaam spoke the truth and as a followup with commentary on that prophecy, Daniel was told that the end would be just as was declared in the beginning, but if I am reading this correctly Israel will not stand alone, a friend called Kittim will be engaged too: 

“But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim,

And they shall afflict Asshur and will afflict Eber;

So they also will come to destruction.” NASB95.

“Alas, who shall live when God does this?
But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim
and they shall afflict Asshur and will afflict Eber;
So they also will come to destruction.” Numbers 24:23-24 NASB95.

Keep your eyes open for United States Navy aircraft carrier presence in the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf.

The latter days devastation aka tribulation will occur just as it is written in the Bible. 

There won't be an escape hatch and that tribulation of the saints will engage the fulfillment of God's redemption plan including the friends of Israel that will see King Messiah come in defense of His people.

When will this happen? 

After Daniel's timelines tied to the abomination of desolation. 

Not only that, God's latter day redemption plan is outlined as a shadow picture in the appointed Fall Feasts.

They start with the first day of Tishrei aka the Day of Trumpets and great shouting... for the King's return. The shout will be followed by ten days of awe and then judgment, the Day of Atonement. 

Following that day, Leviticus 23 outlines the victory celebration detailed in Revelation 19. 

It will be the week of Shavuot, aka the Feast of Tabernacles and ingathering just as God declared in the beginning of the exodus from Egypt.

The latter days described in Scripture are recorded by a cycle of preview events marked in Jewish history and as we have seen, they include a horrific preview in the tribulation preceding the day of dedication known as Hanukkah ever since the Maccabees were emboldened by God's Spirit to defeat the Syrian tyrant Antiochus IV.

Now, let's dig into some other key time markers in Jerusalem's history regarding the Temple Mount to make some more sense out of Daniel's unusual time lines.

They start with Daniel's exile. 

The Temple of Solomon was destroyed c. 586BC on the 9th of Av (Tisha B'Av) by Babylon's king Nebuchadnezzar and the horror scene was repeated by Rome's Titus in 70AD a with his Legions again on Tisha B'Av. 

In the first exile, Daniel was hauled off to Babylon as a boy. There he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Years later, he was given visions and interpretations with timelines providing further explanation of the time of the end of the final exile from the Kingdom of God.

These dates of destruction make me wonder, could the Temple be restored by Messiah on Tisha B'Av and rededicated again on Hanukkah?

This we should know, the appointed time that Daniel points us to will not be confusing in the end. 

As time goes by, knowledge will increase. If we will just look back to Jerusalem and pay attention to the desolation of prayer today as a focal point, Temple Mount timelines will open up. After all, we don't need to be confused if we will just look to the place that Daniel prayed toward, because God keeps His eye on Jerusalem in all prophetic cycles. 

There are a people of faith living in God's covenant land in the latter days.

Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision [is] for [many] days. Daniel 10:14

As we've seen, one thing to understand goes back to the Exodus and Balaam's prophecy. The point is, if we are to unseal Daniel's timeline messages, we have to know the Bible with an eye on history to understand the scrolls of Daniel and its counterpart, the book of Revelation.

By reading the opening lines of each chapter of Daniel, it is easy to see that chapters 10-12 tell us the focus is on the time of the end, the latter days of "restoration" by Messiah foretold in Daniel 7. 

Revelation gives more details, again in a vision with lots of Hebrew imagery.

There's more detail there on the information provided to Daniel to show the ultimate promise of planet earth's redemption with Jerusalem front and center. 

As we've seen, Daniel 9 deals with the time of the humble Messiah's crucifixion and resurrection before the last dispersion of Judah and the Temple's destruction by the local recruits of the Roman Legions in 70 AD. Daniel then fast forwards to the end time battles that will mark the time before Messiah's return noted in Matthew 24. 

We need to understand that chapters 10 and 12 of Daniel are a prophetic summary of two kingdoms, two people at odds in the beginning and the end represented by good and evil.

Today, Babylon is now labeled as Iraq on every map and it's in the headlines almost everyday. We all see Iran there too and worry. 

There's also Syria, Lebanon as well as Turkey, the home of the Ottomans and if we if we look South, we can see Gaza as well as Saudi Arabia in the south with their Arab allies standing in toe to toe opposition to the Shi'ite madmen to the north.

What goes around will come around. 

The feet with divided toes that were envisioned by Nebuchadnezzar are standing in the sand of time right now with Shi'ite and Sunni boots on the ground.

The book of Daniel is unsealing knowledge more every day in the Middle East headlines. It began when Israel came into focus with the Balfour Declaration followed by General Allenby liberating Jerusalem at Hanukkah just before the San Remo Conference and the U.N.'s resolution in 1947 that kicked the latter days into full gear.

Yet, the abomination of desolation remains a mystery, but is it?

In the last 100 years, modern events set Biblical prophecy were in motion as the League of Nations put the San Remo accord into international law years before the United Nations General Assembly's U.N. resolution came to print calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in November 1947. 

Six months later, Israel became Isaiah's promised nation born in a day by the declaration of David Ben Gurion on May 14, 1948 three years after Hitler's Holocaust tribulation from 1933-1945. 

May 1948 is a hidden end time key in the Bible.

Since that prophetic day, another portion of Daniel's ancient scroll was unrolled in 1967. That's the historic six days, the time line that matches the creation story. What happened in 1967 is monumental becuase Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were reclaimed by the Jewish people. 

June 1967 is another Bible key.

The question I have is the timeline of these two prophetic keys hidden within the Daniel scroll?

To seek that answer, it's time to look at Jerusalem and its vortex, the Temple Mount.

After all, Jerusalem is the home of the Temple Mount and Jerusalem was the focus of Daniel's prayers, the place he looked toward three times a day to pray even after king Darius was tricked into signing a degree into the law of the Medes and Persians to outlaw it.

That law was a bit like the U.S. Supreme Court decision (1962) that effectively prohibited school-sponsored prayer in public schools known as Engel v. Vitale. In that landmark ruling, the Court determined that a state-sponsored prayer recited in public schools violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, even though the prayer was nondenominational and student participation was voluntary.

Following this nightmare decision, the Court issued another related ruling in the next year with Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), which struck down Bible reading and recitation of the Lord's Prayer in public schools.

Back in Daniel's day, the Darius decree outlawed prayer to the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but Daniel had a righteous reply that got him tossed into the lion's den:

Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Daniel 6:10 NIV

Daniel was faithful to pray toward Jerusalem.

We should too and if you ask me our prayer should be for people to see knowledge increase about the Messiah. 

Now, if we use the ancient Hebrew way of counting years with an eye toward Jerusalem we'll see something prophetically critical. King Darius' prayer prohibition remains at the Temple Mount today, and if we look closer we can see literally see the pattern etched in stone by three of Daniel's prophetically critical timelines:

• 586 BC Nebuchadnezzar destroys The Temple + 1290 day years = Dome of the Rock 691AD
• 691 AD Dome of the Rock to 1948 equates to 1260 day years
• 691 AD Dome of the Rock to 1967 equates to 1278 years (42 months)

Israel has been restored to a degree, yet the golden Dome of the Rock is front and center in the desolation of prayer to the God of Israel atop the Temple Mount today.

If you're not Muslim and pray atop the Temple Mount you will be arrested and taken away.

You won't be tossed into a lion's den but the fact is desolation at the Temple Mount exists not only for the Jewish people, but for all nations that pray to the God of Israel. 

Today's desolation is from the feet of Islam,but that will change, the Bible says so not me. 

While the time of the "gentile" control of the holy land ended in 1948 and Jerusalem's "gentile" control ended in 1967 at the Western Wall with Rabbi Goren's shofar blast, the thing to know is that a man by the name of Moshe Dayan gave Islam an exclusive prayer pass atop the Temple Mount. 

The reason, is in the vortex of Balak's problem.

Not only that, the fourth beast has been unsealed to the world with knowledge in the headlines of a post 9/11 world as most people on the planet have awakened to fear radical Islam's terror mission. 

Not only that, American war ships, much like the ships of Kittim have been etched into the sea, readied in the defense of tiny Israel.

You need to know about Balaam, he was a prophet from Persia and Daniel was a Jew exiled first to Babylon, then Persia.

Persia has a new map label, its called Iran.

Daniel came from the promised land allotted to Judah. Together, Balaam, Daniel and John the revelator describes that destructive chaos will break out when Messiah "Who is like God" will have to stand up in defense of His people from a Haman-like attack. 

If you ask me that means the ships of Kittim, aka America have an end-time problem. After all, in many ways, like the so-called Supreme Court decisions of the 1960's we have turned our backs on the covenants. 

Our Supreme Court;s Darius decrees have literally tossed aside prayer and the Ten Commandments while citing our Constitution as the reason.

Ancient Persia (Iran) is now front and center with toes stuck in king Nebuchadnezzar dream. If you ask me, the prophecy of the iron and clay toe conflict between the Arab Sunni and non-Arab Shī'ah sects of Iran's version of Islam is unfolding right before our eyes. 

Perhaps in a short time, Iran will pull the battle ships of Kittim into a goat vs. ram conflict. 

Today, the U.S. Naval fleet consists of about 400 warship vessels from the nuclear powered Nimitz-class aircraft carriers to the Los Angeles-class nuclear submarines below the ocean. Another ship is under construction, it's the USS Gerald R. Ford. 

If you ask me, the Mullah jihadists in Iran understand the goat ram conflict described by Daniel. The conflict between a goat and a ram is described in Daniel 8. This chapter contains Daniel's vision of a ram and a goat engaged in an end time battle. The angel Gabriel then explains the meaning of this vision to Daniel, interpreting the ram and goat as representing kingdoms and their conflicts.

They aren't just earthly kingdoms, behind the scenes they are driven by the domains of evil vs. good.

Messiah King will restore the Temple Mount in the Daniel 8 vision and if you ask me, one day not far ahead, the U.S. ships and the war planes they carry will defend our friend Israel. We will see it in the deadlines.

So, my first question is this, when will the horn of the goat strike the wild ram? 

My second is also important, who's the goat and whose the ram? 

I do not know when, but we'll see it in the headlines on the horizon and knowledge about what's described in the Bible will increase especially with the treat of a nuclear Iran on Israel's horizon and I know the good 'ol USA, despite her kingdom flaws will be a good goat friend defending the sheep of Israel.

I have outlined a what if, a what could be scenario about the coming Mid East conflict with Iran, but it's only that, a possible scenario because I'm no prophet, but I can read what Daniel was told in Daniel 8 and I believe it. 

Gabriel, one of Almighty God's messengers describes a warrior friend of Israel, a goat coming from the west and by the way, it's important to note he says the goat never touches the ground while traveling to battle the wild, evil ram in Persia. 

For knowledge to increase, you need to know Persia was renamed to Iran in 1935. 

At that time, Reza Shah Pahlavi, who was crowned as the "Shah of Persia" ten years earlier asked that foreign diplomats use the term "Iran" instead of "Persia" to emphasize the country's identity as a modern nation rather than merely as an old ancient empire.

I'm thinking behind the scenes, maybe just maybe, the Shah didn't want to be associated with what the Bible describes as the end for the ram of Persia. You may want to take a look at this possibility from the unusual account described in Daniel 8, I call it... The Goat and the Ram.

The thing that bothers me though is that in the end, the book of Daniel tells us the goat that came from the west across the face of the earth without touching the dirt to duke it out with the ram has a big problem in the end... four shall stand up out of the goat nation we call Iran. 

That means the battle may be won, but not the war of good vs. evil.

Then it gets disconcerting, while the goat waxed very great against the ram when he was strong, a great horn was broken; and from it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

I don't like the implication and neither did Daniel. 

What he saw made him faint and he was sick for days even though he did not understand it.

This we do know today, we have all seen the resurgence of the dark corners of the ancient kingdom of the Medes and Persians in a crude evil form with the Ayatollahs of Iran whose vicious threats to destroy Israel are just like Haman's and growing every day with the specter of nuclear annihilation for whom they call the little Satan aka the Jewish people of Israel. 

At the same time, the Ayatollah's Twelvers in charge call the USA the great Satan. 

Why does Iran seek nukes to destroy Israel? 

I think Balak knew, his story's found in Numbers 22-24.

We have just touched the storyline, timelines and the 8th chapter of Daniel so far and I may have missed the ram and goat meaning altogether in my proposed interpretation of The Goat and the Ram. The heavenly account may be a reference only about the unseen realm behind the scenes, perhaps its both.

The one thing we need to know, we need to dig in to understand the book of Daniel and the radical latter day kingdom that opposes the God of Israel and divides itself like iron and clay. 

We can rest assured, knowledge will increase, after all it's the promise made to Daniel, so it's up to us to pay attention, pray and seek understanding because the Kingdom King is coming.

There are other keys to help us, they are found in Daniel 10 about the return of the King. Take a look at the sequence of the battles described there. A man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz tells Daniel that he is returning to fight the prince of Persia. 

That picture looks to fit the description of Revelation 1:12-15 like a rerun:

"Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,  and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters."

And as we've seen, if we know who the Legions were, we might understand even more about the end of days for Balak's descendants that curse Israel. 

As we've seen, Roman history reveals the Legions were local recruits, they weren't Italians, they were local Arabs, Syrians and even Egyptians given the prize of Roman citizenship to fight for the Empire. 

The identity of the 'Legions' is REALLY important as it tells us more about the people that will come up against Israel and Jerusalem in the end of their days, not Jerusalem's.

We MUST also remember God tells us He declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). Look at Daniel's words in chapter 9 with some [inserts] that I think may shed some light on the first fulfillment of Daniel's prophetic timeline:

So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree [first given by King Artaxerxes to Ezra] to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince [Yeshua-Jesus] there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks [weeks of years aka Shemittah equals 49 years + 434 years = 483 years]; it will be built again [the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt by Nehemiah and then remodeled by Herod], with plaza and moat, even in times of distress [Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite distressed Nehemiah as he tried to complete the repair assignment]. Daniel 9:25-29

A "Horonite" was from the area known as Bethoron. There, the Horonites worshiped a Canaanite god called Horon. It seesm Horon may have been one of those that fell from grace with haSatan that was assigned over the area known as Bethoron.

Did you know that two Palestinian-Muslim villages of Beit Ur al-Foqa‎, "Upper house of straw" as well as Beit Ur al-Tahta‎, "Lower house of straw" preserve part of the original Canaanite names for the towns in Upper and Lower Bethoron?

Let's look again at the text from Daniel and consider [a possible explanation] that does not fit in at all with those that say the Jewish people will make a terrible decision with an end time treaty:

"Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off [crucifixion] and have nothing, and the people [Arab, Syrian and Egyptian Legions] of the prince who is to come [Titus] will destroy the city [Jerusalem] and the sanctuary [the Temple]. 

And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined [desolations for Jerusalem and prayer as history proves]. " 

And he [Yeshua-Jesus] will make a firm covenant [eternal life] with the many [believers] for one week [Unleavened Bread week], but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering [Sacrifices and offering ended 40 years later in 70 AD with the destruction of the Temple and it altar];

And...on the wing of abominations will come one [Titus, 40 years later in 70 AD with the destruction of the Temple] who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed [also prophesied by Messiah as recorded in Matthew 24] is poured out on the one who makes desolate." [Titus died at age 41, September 13, 81 AD]

Almighty God tells us that He chose to place His name in Jerusalem and chose The Temple Mount as The House of Prayer for all Nations which is a part of the covenant given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 

For the sake of His name, the LORD God of Israel will not let those that offend Jerusalem or trample the holy place of the Temple Mount today go without the judgment they bring on themselves. And remember, like the pattern of Feast Days of The LORD, God's prophecy is cyclical. 

That's what declaring the end from the beginning means. 

We know Gabriel appeared before Daniel at the time of the evening sacrifice in Persia. He tells Daniel that the Prince Messiah will be cut off and he tells Daniel when in Daniel 9:24-27.

Gabriel gave Daniel the Messiah timeline that starts with a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. 

The Cyrus Decree refers to a proclamation by King Cyrus II of Persia that allowed the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple after their Babylonian exile. That decree was not the only decree as many think. 

As already noted, Artaxerxes I gave a decree too. It included rebuilding streets and walls declared in Daniel 9. You can see more about that in Ezra 7:11-21. King Artaxerxes decree occurred circa 457BC. Add 483 years and you arrive around the beginning of Yeshua's ministry in the Galilee.

Luke 3:1 gives a timeline connection as the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar's reign. Herod died in 4 BC but he ordered the death of the children in Bethlehem, so Herod's death decree for the baby boys of Bethlehem was likely somewhere around 6BC. 

That may be around the time when Yeshua was born in Bethlehem, the place king David was born and lived 1,000 years earlier. 

Tiberias Caesar was on the scene circa 26-27 AD.  With this timeline, if we look to Daniel's 483 years or 69 sevens of years, we can link tiberius Caesar's reign to Artexerxes' decree. 

Many are waiting to see an abomination of desolation in Jerusalem.  Yeshua warned His disciples that we would see it with a reference to the book of Daniel. The reason, it's a part of the prophetic cycle and believe it or not, an abomination of desolation sits atop the Temple Mount today. 

It's an abomination that for now, causes the desolation of prayer to the God of Israel. 

Instead, there's one who claims to be greater than the LORD God, and everyday a god named Allah is prayed to on the Temple Mount by those that Allah is greater.

Shifting gears back to Daniels timeline with all those sevens... 

We need to know, in The LORD's Feast Day instruction, Almighty God uses sevens and connects them to redemption from desolation and sin.

Many call one of the key Spring Feasts by the Greek name "Pentecost" due to the 50th day. The Jewish people properly call it Shavuot because it concludes seven weeks of counting weekly Sabbaths after Passover. Not only that, the Biblical word Shavuot carriers the meaning "weeks." 

Almighty God tells us:

"And your shall observe the feast of weeks of the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of in-gathering..." Exodus 34:22

That means we are to still to observe these appointed God days for good reason, they are rehearsals that cycle toward the end time wheat harvest in-gathering that the book of Daniel describes as the time of the end. 

Once we realize that there is just one Feast "of weeks" a year, then we might see that seventy "weeks" are... 70 years of Shavuot feasts. With that observation, Daniel 9:24-25 might be considered as:

Seventy weeks [Shavuot feast days] are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Fast forward, what was the last modern decree among the nations for Israel? 

It has a tie to U.N. Resolution 181. After all, Resolution 181 is the United Nation's decree that went out on none other than a Sabbath day. That Sabbath was November 29, 1947. I think we have to consider that day as a big part of the latter day storyline of Daniel. One reason is the Torah portion read around the world that Sabbath day as in the custom of faithful Jewish people. 

Vayishlach covers Genesis 32:4 to 36:43 and is traditionally read again in synagogues around the world during the week of Hanukkah. Vayishlach tells us Jacob sends messengers to Esau to gauge his brother's feelings and prepares gifts to appease him, fearing Esau's potential hostility. Next, Jacob wrestles with a mysterious being, often interpreted as an angel or a manifestation of God, throughout the night. This struggle results in Jacob being renamed Israel, meaning "one who struggles with God."

The Torah portion concludes with a genealogy of Esau, detailing his descendants and the nations that arise from him. Do you see the connections to the name of the nations born in a day and the descendants of Esau they warred with Israel the day after the nation was born in a day on May 14, 1948.

Now, if we can count and consider a cycle, we can add 69 years to watch for another key event to follow in Jerusalem. If correct, the time to watch is coming like a freight train. Come to think of it, that timeline will be none other than the 70th year of the international gathering of the nations in New York at the UN. 

The tiny nation of Israel was declared by the UN on November 29, 1947. Although not weeks of years, if we simply add 69 calendar years (one Shavuot per year) to the 1947 date, we arrive at 2016 and get this the year 2016 is thought to potentially be a Jubilee, a year marking the "beginning" of a time of restoration. 

Will Israel see restoration in the city that has remained... Jerusalem?

If we add 70 years, we arrive at the end of 2017 and the world's focus may intensify on the Western Wall as knowledge increases. As we saw in Daniel 9:25, the prophet states: "the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." The Hebrew word for "street" seen here in Daniel is "rĕchob" it actually means open place or plaza. 

Do you know the location of a plaza with a "wall" in Jerusalem today?

Do you think people call the Kotel, the "plaza" by the Western Wall by mere chance at the base of the Temple Mount?

Let that question soak in, then...

Let's look back again at the Roman destroyer Titus. He was in fact "poured out" just like the prophetic description used by Daniel. To understand this, we need to know what happened to Titus after he destroyed Jerusalem, its 600,000 citizens and the Temple where Titus in an act of abomination and desecration to Almighty God's authority sacrificed to a Roman idol he placed within the Temple court just as Antiochus had done some 200 years before him. This time Titus put a statue of the Roman god Jupiter .

Much like Sodom and Gomorrah, destruction and desolation were "poured out" a few short years later on the Roman Empire. 

Here's what happened:

Legion leader Titus returned to Rome in June of 71AD after he burned Jerusalem to the ground and left no stone unturned on the Temple Mount. He became Emperor after the death of his father Vespasian in 79AD. 

Titus finally ruled the Roman Empire, but his reign ended abruptly in fire. 

Many may know the history, but have not have put the story lines together about fire. 

Here's one connection:

Everyone has heard of Mount Vesuvius, it is the site of perhaps the most famous explosive volcanic eruption on Earth, and certainly the most written about. It erupted in 79AD in Italy. 

Yes that's right, 79AD is the very year Titus became Emperor of the Roman Empire!

Is your knowledge increasing? 

The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius fire bombed and buried the Roman city of Pompeii under tons of hot volcanic ash that has preserved the ruins of the city and its inhabitants in stone for everyone to see, even today. 

Coincidence or not, the last major eruption there was in 1944, the same year that Adolf Hitler ordered the deportation of 600,000 Hungarian Jews to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, the site of horrific mass murder not unlike the deaths in Jerusalem almost 2,000 years ago under Titus.

Want more about Emperor Titus? 

During his short two-year reign, the city of Rome was plagued by horrific disease and pestilence. 

Not only that, a three-day fire destroyed vast portions of the capital of the Roman Empire. Remember, in God's world, what goes around comes around, the reason is people continue to bring curses on themselves when in opposition to God's promise to Abraham.

Just two years after the fires burned Rome, Titus suddenly and mysteriously died at a young age in 81AD. Ironically, many historians believe Titus may have died of a grave disease he took on from his lover Berenice, the sister of Julius Agrippa II. She was married three times prior to living with Titus outside of wedlock in Rome. Others say it was a fever, still others say brain cancer killed him.

As Paul Harvey used to say on the radio... "now you know the rest of the story" (at least about Titus).

It seems to me Daniel was told those things about Titus and the destruction of Jerusalem.

Daniel was sick for days after he saw the vision.

In the end, the Bible is still focused on the Temple Mount, the Middle East and the people living there, not Rome.

The Bible describes the nations that continue to surround Israel in the end with a tie to old Balak and Haman. The Bible is not focused on the good ol USA, our land of amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties, although there looks to be an important goat connection in the defense of Israel and its people as the Persian ram Ayatollahs seek to wipe them off the map. 

Like I told the big time proponent of the so-called "EU beast" the Bible is not focused on Rome, the Vatican or St. Paul's Cathedral either no matter what a New York Times best seller list may do to help sell a book. 

The Bible is the best selling book of all time that does not end with a tribulation escape hatch to Heaven. It says:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken." Matthew 24:29

"I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Revelation 7:14

The focus of the Bible is about Israel. It's about good vs evil, both seen and unseen. The focus is about restored relationship in the end with Almighty God on earth as it is heaven and that's why The LORD calls people out of the slavery of sin into His Kingdom of forgiveness.  

Let's get back to Daniel's prophetic timelines.

After Nebuchadnezzar's assault on Jerusalem, Daniel interprets that Nebuchadnezzar's dream reveals the answers to Balaam's prophecy. Then Daniel was given visions as downloads from Heaven to share that dream with us living in the latter days. Daniel saw dark nations driven by unexplainable evil and hatred that would stake a claim on Jerusalem. 

Incredibly, in 1917 British General Edmund Allenby walked through a prophetic door in Jerusalem. 

Believe it or not, his horse mounted cavalry included the "Egyptian" Expeditionary Forces under his command. They all fought against the Ottomans for Jerusalem during the heavy rainstorms that year. Allenby's forces were the last great mounted cavalry and they battled and fought against the 7th and 8th Armies of the Ottoman Empire.

Under General Allenby's command, they took back the Old City of Jerusalem and ended 400 years of Ottoman control the day before the start of the festival of lights (aka Hanukkah). 

That very day commemorates the release and re-dedication of the Temple by the Maccabee hammer against the Seleucid dynasty 2,000 years before Allenby's time. Back then, the Hasmonean's rule of Jerusalem continued until 37 BC when an Idumean, yes an Idumean known as 'Herod the Great' became ruler of Israel by appointment from Rome.

Some think Herod the Great was a Roman,  but he wasn't, he was from Idumaea, aka Edom, aka Saudi Arabia. Yet there's more... the connection between Idumaea (the Greco-Roman name for the region) and Edom (the Biblical name) is direct, and the Bible identifies the Edomites as the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob.

Herod descended from Esau, in modern lingo he was an Arab prince for crying out loud!

That very fact gives us another big clue on God's unusual instruction to Moses and the army of Israelites after they left Egypt. After they arrived in the wilderness, The LORD God told Moses to pass by and leave Edom alone. 

Had they fought and killed Edom against God's explicit instruction, they would have utterly destroyed them and Herod would not have appeared on the scene 1,500 years later to restore the Temple in preparation for Messiah's teaching and ministry there. 

Herod the Idumaean was a descendant of Esau and his grandson Amalek. One of the most significant moments in Idumaean history occurred during the Hasmonean period (late 2nd century BC). The Jewish leader John Hyrcanus conquered Idumaea and gave the descendants of Esua a choice: leave the land or convert to Judaism.

To stay in the homes and farms, most chose to convert and were circumcised, effectively becoming part of the Jewish body politic, though they were often still viewed as "half-Jews" by those in Jerusalem.

The most famous "Idumaean" in history is Herod the Great, whose father was an Idumaean convert. This background is why many Jews of Herod's time viewed his kingship as illegitimate, seeing him as a descendant of Esau with a fake conversion.

They were right, like Amalek, Herod was a tyrant that ordered the male child execution of all babies in and around Bethlehem commonly known as the Massacre of the Innocents, that's recorded in the account of Matthew (chapter 2) that is part and parcel of  Jeremiah 31:15:"Thus says the Lord: 'A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.'"

Yet, the LORD God of Israel used Herod much like he used the pagan Cyrus the Great, the leader of the Persian Empire that ordered Jews to return to Jerusalem some 500 years before Herod showed up.

Like Cyrus, Herod played a critical role in the restoration of the Temple before Yeshua's arrival on the scene. That restoration would have not happened if Edom had been destroyed during the Exodus. 

Almighty God knows what He's doing!

Think about it, Edom's "foreign hand" of Herod in Jerusalem is not unlike the gentiles that Solomon recruited and organized a massive international operation including Hiram, the Phoenician king of Tyre to build the first Temple. The Idumean Herod restored the city of Jerusalem and made rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem one of his primary goals. Little did Herod know his work was orchestrated by Almighty God's providence in Moses day in preparation for Messiah's first trip.

Fast forward to 1917, and we see another gentile, another man of the nations by the title of General. His name was Edmund Allenby, he was British from Brackenhurst, Nottinghamshire, England. General Allenby’s formal entrance into Jerusalem occurred on December 11, 1917. That day by no coincidence the second day of Hanukkah, the 8-day Festival of Lights and Rededication when he arrived and you can find it for yourself because the camera's were rolling back in 1917. 

The General's entry was captured on film by Harold Jeapes, a cameraman working for the War Office Cinematograph Committee (WOCC) in Palestine and Egypt. 

By the way, General Allenby entered Jerusalem through the Jaffa Gate. It's the same gate that John and Peter healed a crippled man one afternoon as they were headed to Court of Solomon.

The prophetic, historic Jubilee year of 1917 is marked by the Balfour Declaration that announced the critical role of the British Crown's support of the Jewish homeland. Although they later turned their backs on Israel and sailed away, the Brit's declaration was followed up by the San Remo Declaration in 1920. Next came the British Mandate in 1922. It expired on May 14, 1948 as the nation state of Israel was declared by David Ben Gurion.

That's when the British solders sailed, in effect leaving the Jewish people to fend for themselves to defend the Promised Land. Ever since 1917, and the end of World War One, the headlines have been SUPER CHARGED with "end-time" Biblical promises that bring the prophets of the Bible into today's headlines.

If you ask me, that's a key to understand what Daniel was told when he heard these words... "knowledge shall increase." Whether we see it or not, a growing knowledge of the visions and explanations given to Daniel by heavenly messengers is racing toward us like birth pains.

The fact of God's calendar is... we are living in Biblical times,  because they never ended. 

The so-called Old Testament including the book of Daniel is not old, done away or hung on the cross. Prophecy is in progress like a cycle, and the LORD's Biblical calendar is embedded with a prophetic outline that zeroes in on the Feasts of the LORD where everything is connected to God events past, present and future in Israel, in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Literally, everything whether you know it or not. 

In 1917, when General Allenby rode into town and entered Jerusalem's Jaffa Gate, that newsreel event set the world stage in motion for the return of the Jewish people to prepare Israel for Messiah's return as King of Israel and the nations. 

To top it off, Allenby entered the gates of the city 69 Biblical Jubilee years after the Exodus from Egypt! 

That number points us to Daniel and the 70th Jubilee after the Exodus when Israel and the sojourners with them crossed the Jordan River. 

A Jubilee count is to the 50th year and the 70th Jubilee year was 3,500 years after Moses led Israel through the wilderness and handed the leadership to Joshua. I think that 70th Jubilee was 1967.

The year 1967 is a prophetic time stamp, and for "six days" in the Six Day War, the armies of Israel fought against against Syria, Jordan and Egypt. They were supported by other Arab-Amalek nations that sent military contingents, aircraft, or financial aid to support the primary coalition, though they did not face an invasion of their own territory. They included Iraq (Babyon). Iraq sent a significant number of troops and aircraft to the Jordanian and Syrian fronts. It also included Lebanon with limited military participation.

Others inlccuded Algeria, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Tunisia that also provided varying degrees of military equipment or small troop detachments.

In just six days Israel gained control of Gaza but in 2005, Israel let it go and that will haunt them and will prove to be a problem like the days of the Philistines. Israel also gained the Sinai and let it go back to Egypt, that too will be a problem. They took hold of Judea and Samaria too, aka the West Bank and the Golan Heights , but they will never let go of Judea and Samaria. 

To top it all off, at the conclusion of the Six Day War, the vortex of heaven on earth, the Temple Mount was reclaimed by the Jewish people for the first time since Rome's Titus and the Legions destroyed the Old City, exiled its people from their homeland, toppled and burned the Temple to the ground.

Today, Jerusalem is divided by three "religions" if you will. You may not realize it, but the "three parts" seen there today was foretold long ago in Revelation 16:19. 

Today, the world led by the UN seeks to divide Israel and geo-politically divide Jerusalem, severing it as the eternal capital of Israel with the goal to divide the land and establish a so-called Palestinian state. But, there's already a Palestinian State, its called Gaza and it's a nightmare.

As noted Israel gave Gaza away in 2005, and shortly thereafter the people of Gaza elected an Islamic terrorist organization called Hamas to run the place. The election victors then attacked, killed or imprisoned the Islamic Fatah officials that lost the election. 

No question, Gaza is a terrorist state and is supported by Iran. It will remain so until Hamas is wiped off the map alng with the Ayatollahs to seek to destroy Israel.

Escalated conflict will unfold in Israel, so you better be ready with plenty of oil in your proverbial lamp. It will be a time of grave evil darkness, and the nations that seek divide the land for peace will have a problem. They will bring a time of trouble and tribulation on themselves tied to the final cycle of events that link back to Daniel and Babylon because God remembers as described in the book of Revelation:

"And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath." Revelation 16:19

The three "parts" dividing Jerusalem today are 1) Muslim, 2) Jewish and 3) Christian.

General Allenby even acknowledged this in his proclamation during Hanukkah week in Jerusalem on December 11, 1917. But Allenby was wrong about one thing:

"To the Inhabitants of Jerusalem the Blessed and the People Dwelling in Its Vicinity:

The defeat inflicted upon the Turks by the troops under my command has resulted in the occupation of your city by my forces. I, therefore, here now proclaim it to be under martial law, under which form of administration it will remain so long as military considerations make necessary.

However, lest any of you be alarmed by reason of your experience at the hands of the enemy who has retired, I hereby inform you that it is my desire that every person pursue his lawful business without fear of interruption.

Furthermore, since your city is regarded with affection by the adherents of three of the great religions of mankind and its soil has been consecrated by the prayers and pilgrimages of multitudes of devout people of these three religions for many centuries, therefore, do I make it known to you that every sacred building, monument, holy spot, shrine, traditional site, endowment, pious bequest, or customary place of prayer of whatsoever form of the three religions will be maintained and protected according to the existing customs and beliefs of those to whose faith they are sacred.

Guardians have been established at Bethlehem and on Rachel's Tomb. The tomb at Hebron has been placed under exclusive Moslem control.

The hereditary custodians at the gates of the Holy Sepulchre have been requested to take up their accustomed duties in remembrance of the magnanimous act of the Caliph Omar, who protected that church."

Just as Revelation foretold, three parts now divide Jerusalem and one day, Christians and Jews will no longer have a dividing wall between them. Paul paints the one new plan in Ephesians 2:14–16:

"For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that he might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity."

Paul uses this imagery to explain a profound shift away from division:

The "Two" refers to the two distinct groups of humanity at the time, the Jews and the nations aka the gentiles. The "Middle Wall" is a reference to the literal wall in the Jerusalem Temple that separated the Court of the Gentiles from the inner courts, which Gentiles were forbidden to enter on pain of death.

Yet, on any modern map of the city, we label see the City of God drawn with four quarters. That can be confusing and it keeps us from understanding Yeshua's revelation given to John at Patmos about the three part divided city.

On most any modern map, we can see: 1) the Muslim Quarter, 2) the Jewish Quarter, 3) the Christian Quarter and 4) the Armenian Quarter.

Yet, there's something we have to remember. 

The Armenians adopted "Christianity" as their official state religion back in 286AD. So in reality, one must consider that there are three divisions in Jerusalem today, not four. 

It's very important to know that the Armenian Christians were nearly destroyed by the radical Islamic Ottomans as millions were killed in the Armenian Genocide that began at the eve of WWI just like the fact that the Jewish Holocaust began at the eve of WWII. 

The Armenian Genocide, also known as the Armenian Holocaust, was the systematic extermination of what is thought to be approximately 1.5 million Christian Armenians slaughtered by the Ottoman Empire (now Turkey) during World War I. Their genocide occurred between 1915 and 1923, and it is considered one of the first modern genocides.

The exact number of Armenian Christians killed during that genocide is difficult to determine, as many records were destroyed or lost. However, estimates based on various sources, including eyewitness accounts, official documents, and demographic studies, suggest that between 1.2 and 1.5 million Armenians were murdered.

It's worth noting that the Turkish government has consistently denied that the events of 1915-1923 constituted a genocide. In addition to the estimated number of deaths, the Armenian Genocide also resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Armenians that survived. They were forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in other countries including Israel. 

The genocide has had a profound impact on the Armenian people, causing significant cultural, social, and economic damage that continues to be felt today.

The Jewish Virtual Library states: "In fact, during the Camp David Summit, leaders of the Armenian church insisted the Christian and Armenian Quarters were inseparable and expressed their preference for international guarantees."

Let's go back to reconsider the end-time storyline in the visions of Daniel. To do that we must remember the Redeemer Prince when we think of the role of Michael ("who is like God") in the ancient explanation of Daniel's visions that have an Allenby connection.

Interestingly, among General Allenby's many medals of distinction he was awarded around the globe, he received the two that provide a subtle link to Daniel's visions: 1) 'Grand Cross of the Order of the Redeemer' and 2) the 'Order of Michael the Brave'!!

Without knowing it, Allenby's actions and his medals play a part in Daniel's prophecy. 

So, we must consider the reality of the events that point to the cycle of prophecy and the order of Daniel. We have to remember 1917, 1948 and 1967 too. Knowledge of God's sovereignty will likely unfold further in Jerusalem's headlines in 2017. After all it will be 100 years (two Jubilees) since Allenby's entrance through the Jaffa Gate.

After that knowledge unfolds, the "latter-day" ram vision described in Daniel 8 will come into better focus because of the promise given to Daniel: "knowledge shall increase." 

Daniel 8 prophetically refers to conflict between the east and west. 

Joel Richardson, the author of an eye-opening book titled The Islamic Antichrist really got me to thinking about the possibility of a radical Jihad conflict that dramatically points toward a western engagement arising from a future Israeli terror scene. 

Am I saying that another Jihad battle like those seen in 1948, 1967 and 1973 in Israel is certain?

No, I am not... but Daniel prophesies that the west will oppose the east in a ram vs. goat vision that unfolds n Persia (Iran) points to a key date in the end. 

Many now say that the ram-goat prophecy is over and out because it's all about Alexander the Great's conquests across the Middle East and the events that followed 320 BC, but there are a some big basic problems with Alexander's four generals being the final fulfillment of that prophecy. 

The Bible is clear about that because of the appointed latter days timing of that conflict and if you ask me, Alexander set the stage for a prophetic cycle that will unfold as knowledge increases:

1) Alexander's troops did not come from the west "without touching the ground" like today's troops that travel exclusively by sea and air (Daniel 8:5).

2) Also... any event around the year 320 BC can't really be considered an "end time" prophecy can it? It occurred over 2,300 year ago.

Like I've learned, history repeats and prophecy is a cycle.

My thinking is Alexander's conquests and battles were a "shadow picture" of things to come - - in the end, the prophecies will be just as they are declared they shall be. Let's look at Daniel 8:19 for the proof text that points to a cycle:

"...Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be."

That indignation is radical Islamic hatred of Israel and its evil vortex is Persia, aka Iran the same place the unseen Prince of Persia delayed Gabriel's visitation with Daniel and that tells us evil has a domain.

Today, the Jewish people are front and center opposed by Iran's dark Shi'ite Twelver Ayatollah supreme leaders and their demonic proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah.

There's also the Palestine authority that funds pensions for families that kill Jews. 

Knowledge will increase about that too. 

Sadly, I'm afraid we'll see more horror in the headlines and the ending in Daniel 8 scares me because there’s the big problem for the goat that came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground.. four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. 

Then it gets worse, the goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

As for Alexander and the EU antichrist, when we dig into the book of Daniel we can see that's not the end game, so it is important that we don't plug things in to try to get the visions and prophecy explanations described in the scroll to force history into old headlines or accept a popular best selling book series as the truth about a great church escape before the grand finale.

We must let the Scriptures of truth speak for themselves because the Bible repeatedly says we are not to add to or take away from it (see Deuteronomy 4:2; Deuteronomy 12:32; Proverbs 30:5-6; Psalms 119:160 and Matthew 5:19-20).

In the end, we must be a watchman and pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Daniel's goat vision in chapter 8 is about the time appointed at the end because that's what it says. In the explanation of his vision, Daniel was told there will be three kings and the fourth shall be the richest (most powerful) and by his strength (evil) he will stir against the realm/dominion of Grecia.

Daniel tells us a fourth king will invade the glorious land, and many shall be overthrown before the time that Michael ("who is like God") stands up. 

Isaiah adds in some of the details of just who orchestrates that final conflict:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian:

He shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him… Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled. And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse… Isaiah 10:24-26; 33; Isaiah 11:1

The end time strike depicted by Daniel and Isaiah is imminent. 

The second vision in the third year of the last Babylonian king made Daniel sick for days for good reason, he saw glimpses of the future of evil and terrorism in Israel that is spreading across the planet.

I'll try to keep you updated... because Israel is being cast down with disinformation in the mainstream media that is supported by advertising money, ratings and politics, yet Almighty God is looking for you to follow His heart for His land and its people. 

Now more than ever, Israel and the Jewish people need you to stand in prayer and action.

"Iran's most senior nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh has been assassinated near the capital Tehran, the country's defence ministry has confirmed.


Fakhrizadeh died in hospital after an attack in Absard, in Damavand county. Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, has condemned the killing "as an act of state terror".

Are these related? Only God knows until He reveals the content of the sealed scroll. Even Daniel couldn't understand what he saw.

In this speech, President Trump stated:

"Our policy is based on a clear-eyed assessment of the Iranian dictatorship, its sponsorship of terrorism, and its continuing aggression in the Middle East and all around the world.

Iran is under the control of a fanatical regime that seized power in 1979 and forced a proud people to submit to its extremist rule. This radical regime has raided the wealth of one of the world's oldest and most vibrant nations, and spread death, destruction, and chaos all around the globe.

Beginning in 1979, agents of the Iranian regime illegally seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and held more than 60 Americans hostage during the 444 days of the crisis. The Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah twice bombed our embassy in Lebanon — once in 1983 and again in 1984. Another Iranian-supported bombing killed 241 Americans — service members they were, in their barracks in Beirut in 1983.

In 1996, the regime directed another bombing of American military housing in Saudi Arabia, murdering 19 Americans in cold blood.

Iranian proxies provided training to operatives who were later involved in al Qaeda's bombing of the American embassies in Kenya, Tanzania, and two years later, killing 224 people, and wounding more than 4,000 others.

The regime harbored high-level terrorists in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, including Osama bin Laden's son. In Iraq and Afghanistan, groups supported by Iran have killed hundreds of American military personnel.

The Iranian dictatorship's aggression continues to this day. The regime remains the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, and provides assistance to al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist networks. It develops, deploys, and proliferates missiles that threaten American troops and our allies. It harasses American ships and threatens freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf and in the Red Sea. It imprisons Americans on false charges. And it launches cyberattacks against our critical infrastructure, financial system, and military.

The United States is far from the only target of the Iranian dictatorship's long campaign of bloodshed. The regime violently suppresses its own citizens; it shot unarmed student protestors in the street during the Green Revolution.

This regime has fueled sectarian violence in Iraq, and vicious civil wars in Yemen and Syria. In Syria, the Iranian regime has supported the atrocities of Bashar al-Assad's regime and condoned Assad's use of chemical weapons against helpless civilians, including many, many children.

Given the regime's murderous past and present, we should not take lightly its sinister vision for the future. The regime's two favorite chants are "Death to America" and "Death to Israel.""

Mr. Humphrey outlines the book of Daniel in simple chronologic order and explains:

"In my owns studies I found that as I organized the book chronologically it became easier for me to understand the story line. Hopefully this will serve as a helpful tool for you as you study the Book of Daniel."

So what does the order of Daniel tell us?

Almighty God is sovereign and unchanging. He is the loving, kind, merciful, gracious forgiving Abba Father and He has provided the book of Daniel to tie future events to the Torah, the Prophets and Psalms as a road map to point the world toward the destination of life's journey which is Messiah Yeshua - Jesus.

His rule is the final order of Daniel. The King is coming!

If you have not understood this, then Almighty Elohim God is calling your name to repent and turn back to Him. He wants to offer you redemption, the purchase price of salvation from sin through forgiveness and Messiah.

You can accept His gospel promise of life in The Father's Kingdom. Consider carefully what your own life consists of, look at it and repent of any wrongdoing, immorality or transgression sin and turn back to the Bible as your guide for life.

Ask Elohim God for His grace in forgiveness and accept His gift of lovingkindness, grace and supplication through Messiah Yeshua. Then walk with Him the way He walked in God's instruction. It's not done away with, never has been never will be. The jots and tittles remain.

If you know you need to get your life right with God, don’t wait for tomorrow, start the walk on the seven-mile road with Him now and grab the robe of the resurrected Messiah.

God's Spirit will walk with you on your life's journey if you'll listen to Him, and you too can learn how the things which are written in the law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Writings are all concerning Him so that you can teach others:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:16-17

Today is the time, because there's little time.

Consider a prayer: Please, God, guide me as to what I should do.

It's time for you to repent and return to God's voice, return to hear and do His word and walk in the faith of His Kingdom path so that you can ready your lamp for your coming assignment. 

Open your eyes and recognize King Messiah.

Repent and walk with Messiah at the center of your life and study the Scriptures that He taught every Sabbath, they are filled with meaning because of Him.

His name is Yeshua. He is Jesus of Nazareth, born in Bethlehem and His Hebrew name expresses both his identity and his mission to save us from sin's death grip and be blessed to walk in His way and in resurrection life.
